Lovely place to stay. Great local walks and so much to do in the area. This is a perfect base to explore the Cotswolds. Clean, comfortable, and we had a wonderful week here, with a newborn and our dog.
Well equipped, comfortable and homely, with everything you might need for a break away. In beautiful countryside with excellent walks straight from the door, whilst only 5 minutes or so walk to the village. We definitely hope to return some time.
We enjoyed our long weekend stay at Bury Fields. Great power shower, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and good location, near the town but in the countryside. Would recommend bringing some coat hangers with you as mentioned in a few previous reviews but this is a very minor point. Overall a lovely stay, thank you.
We had a lovely time staying in this nice modern holiday let situated in the beautiful serene countryside of Bourton on the water. Highly recommend it for families with kids. The games room is great and the farm, village and shops are all within walking distance.
What a beautiful cottage in the Cotswolds. Complete with a loft to view the fields this cottage has it all. Well stocked and spacious with ample crockery, glasses, board games and more. A lovely 10 minute walk takes you to the village along a beautiful little lane way that passes a churchyard and peaceful cemetery.Richard was more than accomodating and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed (which we did!)WiFi was good and beds were warm and comfortable. Outside area was perfect for afternoon drinks and listening to the birds. Also a lot of amazing history to the farm which is worth reading about.Highly recommend this lovely cottage retreat for long or short stays. We'll definitely be back again as a place to wind down and relax. We only wished we had stayed longer!Thank you Richard and Tishy
Had a super stay, all the home from home comforts provided and a thoughtful welcome gift of cheese, biscuits, milk and a cupboard full of tea and coffee. Great location for walking into the town to enjoy the shops, cafes and pubs. Lots of information provided in the house about local walks and activities.
Great space and location. Hosts had great information for the area. We were just 2 but would be great for two couples. So quiet, right on walking paths to Bourton on the water (less than 10 minutes), and into the country.
Would stay there again.
Excellent property with very friendly and helpful owners.
Rural and peaceful although very close to shops and amenities.
Brilliant walks would definitely recommend.
Bury Fields Cottage is situated in a beautiful quiet rural location but just a short walk from the facilities of Bourton-on-the-Water. The property has quality furnishing and comfortable beds. Great base to explore the amazing Cotswold villages!
We had a great time. Interesting archeological walk and dairy farm adjacent to property. Great communication and prompt help from owners. Easy walk to town and restaurants/attractions.
We had a glorious week staying here in July the weather was perfect for us . The facilities at the house are excellent and everything we needed was there in the house. Short walk into Bourton but far enough away to leave all the crowds behind to return to the absolute peace and quiet of the house. Nice seating area outside to relax at the end of a day. We had a dog and there are so many lovely walks you can do from the doorstep without getting in the car. We loved it .
Bury Barn was perfect, all amenities inside you required. Situated on the outskirts of Bourton on the Water, it was quiet countryside just perfect for a relaxing weekâs holiday.
We certainly returning the future.
Excellent property. Good access to shops and restaurants. Property owner very helpful and always there to help. We took our 4 year old springer, Henry, who enjoyed every minute. Loads of brilliant walks. Will return. A most enjoyable stay.
Stayed here with my wife and our 2 border terriers. Absolutely loved the property, which was really well equipped and perfectly located.
We found the area to be very peaceful and relaxing, with some truly stunning countryside views.
Eating out was a breeze too, as it was only a short walk in to town where there were plenty of tasty restaurants to choose from (all dog friendly).
Great selection of nearby picturesque dog walking routes, to keep the pups happy during the day and tired out in the evening.
We found the hosts to be very friendly and helpful.
What can I say. We really loved this place and will definitely be back.
Thanks for a great stay.
Tishy and Richard are wonderful. They were there if we needed them, but mostly keep to themselves and stopped to chat on several occasions. The cottage is genuinely Cotswold and no detail was left to chance. Great location for day trips and close enough to walk to village for dining. Grocery right at end of lane and great footpaths abound. Thanks Richard and Tishy for an incredible week stay.
For our purposes, this property served us very well. We were able to visit with family by easy drives to and from. We enjoyed having everything on one level in the cottage as my husband has mobility issues. Our only concern was the mattresses on the beds were not quite firm enough for us tall folks with back issues. The kitchen is well supplied for just about any type of meal prep. We did have trouble figuring out the laundry machine, and were told that the dryer part was not working well. Again, due to mobility issues, it was great having a walk in shower. There is no tub which didn't concern us at all. Grocery shopping is conveniently located just a few minutes away by car. On the main road there is a gas/petrol station right at the end of Cemetery Land. Attached to it is a laundry which we did use for a quick wash, dry fold service the day before we left. Parking around the town is EXTREMELY limited which for us was an inconvenience, again due to mobility issues. There is a terrific restaurant/pub in Northleach, the next town to the south of Bourton. It's called the Wheatsheaf Inn on the main street. Highly recommend. Richard was extremely helpful finding us a place in Cheltenham to get a replacement battery for my phone. We were lucky with mostly great weather during our stay, and had a wonderful time visiting family.
From booking to arrival and departure this property surpasses any that we have previously stayed at. Quiet spot with welcoming hosts and the best ever shower. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed for 5 nights -
Pros: very pleasant contact with host several times, very comfy beds, clean crisp linens, very nice fully equipped kitchen, wonderful water pressure/hot & cold water, surprise welcoming gift of white wine, crackers & the most delicious local Brie.
Cons: no closets to hang closet only a bar on wall with 3-4 hangers, need one more fan due to no air conditioning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay and would definitely recommend this property. It felt like home and would stay there again. . Thank you.
