Mill View (UK32035) was renovated in 2020, and offers contemporary design with quiet, spacious, comfortable and modern living. Tucked away within easy reach of Norfolk Broads and coast, it is hidden from view and nestled beside the famous Sutton Windmill, built in 1789 and understood to be the tallest in the UK. The location benefits from the best of both worlds, with over 30 miles of excellent sandy beaches, starting at only 3 miles away as well as the famous Norfolk Broads (1 mile away) on your doorstep. Beach options vary from Sea Palling (closest at around 10 minutes drive) with an RNLI patrolled sandy beach backed by sand dunes, cafés, pub and amusements to quieter beaches such as Cart Gap or Happisburgh.

Sutton Staithe is your gateway to the Norfolk Broads (1 mile away) connecting onto the River Ant which flows onto Barton Broad, How Hill and Ludham Bridge. Daily boat hire and river trips available to explore the miles of waterways. Excellent river fishing and local lake fishing is also available (seasonal and licence required) and The Norfolk Broads Museum (seasonal opening) where you can discover the history of boating and The Broads all nearby. The Broads and three pubs serving local beers and food are all within a mile and there is direct private access to Weavers Way public footpath, with Hickling only a mile away. The village centre of Stalham is just 2½ miles. Having everything you need, cafés, bakery, supermarket, chemist, petrol station, beauticians, take away food options and eateries. Wroxham, known as the Capital of the Broads, is only 9½ miles with shops, a supermarket, cafés and restaurants. This is also home to the Bure Valley Railway, a narrow steam gauge railway visiting the nearby village of Coltishall and the market town of Aylsham.

For quieter sandy beaches, take a trip to Waxham and Horsey, where wide sandy beaches back on to sand dunes. Closed to beachgoers between the months of November and January parts of Horsey Beach are protected whilst the large (numbering in the thousands) grey seal colony is in pupping season, Viewing areas above the beach provide a fantastic opportunity to see adults and pups up close. For great family fun days visit BeWILDerwood, a tree-top adventure in Horning, Roarr Dinosaur Adventure at Lenwade, indoor soft play, slides, outdoor adventure and splash park and Wroxham Barns with a small petting farm and play park.

The historic city of Norwich, 15 miles, is definitely worth a visit, having two excellent indoor shopping malls, market square, cafés, restaurants, pubs, cathedral, theatres and castle museum. The livelier seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, is only 16 miles away with amusements, fun fair, pier, wax works, shops and restaurants. Excellent walking can be enjoyed from the doorstep with the Weavers Way running through the town of Stalham and providing great opportunities to explore on foot or by cycle. The Norfolk Wildlife Trust (NWT) Hickling Nature Reserve is around 2 miles away with nature trails, bird watching hides and boat trips - you may even spot the UK’s largest Butterfly, the Swallow Tail! Your holiday home hosts, Nick and Lisa, will be more than happy to advise on any local attractions or answer any questions you have when planning your itinerary. Beach 3 miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

Really nice, modern accommodation. Super quiet location but with easy access to the coast and to the broads. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as did the dog.

Great place for what we wanted to achieve.

Great place for what we wanted to achieve. Great access to different beaches, boat ride, and pubs. Got to meet friend and it was very pet friendly. Our dog was able to have a large garden space to walk around etc. The HOSTs were great any questions, advice were dealt with very quickly. I definitely would go back if we are going to the area and would recommend to anyone who wants a break from the hussle and bustle life can bring
