The cottage was a home away from home, very well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Ideally situated with walks from the door for the dogs and near to all this part of Norfolk has to offer, lovely beaches NT houses and pretty villages. A thoroughly lovely stay
Lovely characterful cottage with everything we needed.Beaches a short drive away, walks on the doorstep and a great garden for the dogs to play in.Very peaceful location.
Peaceful place to relax with the dogs. The kitchen was so well equipped, beds were comfortable ideal to wind down! Loved watching the hares in the fields next to the cottage at dusk.
A very peaceful stay, very well equipped clean and comfortable accommodation. Perfect for a dog, enclosed garden. Close enough to the pub and ' The Fish Shop' (excellent value btw). Local walks and wildlife to look out for, Deers Hares and various birds. National trust membership is a good call for local locations, stately homes and grounds and some coastal locations. Lidl and Sainsbury's near enough for supplies. Look out for driveway honesty boxes, Jams and chutneys nearby, very good.Artisan cafe is nearby for breakfast/brunch, cakes, tea, very goodOverall, great value for money location, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, didn't need for anything else.Thank youHighly recommended
We had a lovely relaxed stay and ended up staying an extra couple of nights which our host organised for us when we requested this. The property had everything we needed and is in a peaceful location. Our dog enjoyed the garden. We liked the sun room and dining area in particular and spent most of our time there and in the garden. We did trips to Sea Palling, Cromer, Sheringham and Wroxham all within easy driving distance.
Our first-ever visit to this part of North Norfolk, and this cottage provided the perfect base to explore the coast and surrounding countryside. Clean, comfortable and cosy but without being âover-fussyâmeaning we could feel very relaxed about our two fully housetrained (but hairy) golden retrievers who had a wonderful time investigating the local fields and walks or chilling out in the secure garden.Would happily come and stay here again if the route from Wiltshire was less tortuous - it doesnât look as though the Romans ever made it to Norfolk.
What more can we say
We enjoyed our stay here with our dog
Very convenient to cycle to the nearest towns
There is a good walk in quiet lanes and across fields suitable for people and dogs
Not that far to drive to the popular and quiter coastal towns
Not far to drive to the coastal
Beautifully quaint cottage, plenty of room for us 5 +terrier. Well equipped we had everything we needed. Loved the peaceful rural setting, just wish we were staying longer.
Communication with the owner was excellent. The only improvement I would make would be to have a king size double bed in the double room (but maybe we just like our space)
Had a lovely midweek break, the location was perfect for us, tucked away in a peaceful haven with dog walks straight from the front door and a lovely enclosed garden that our grandson and dog thoroughly enjoyed and we spent most evenings sat outside .
The included facilities and comfortable rooms made it feel like a home from home.
Plenty of space for a family of 4. We loved the conservatory for family games and the lounge for family films! Close to Cromer for a day out. Just what we needed. Thank you!
The property is ideally located to explore a Norfolk, being close to Norwich and the coast. There are country walks from the doorstep too.
As a family of five, the property worked well for us and the garden is a good size for dogs.
We had thought the garden was secure, but one of our dogs found a big gap in the mesh behind the shed.
While the house is well equiped, the refurbishment was clearly done some years ago and it is looking tired now, both inside and out.
The property is good value for money.
This property has undergone a painstaking restoration from the neglected farm labourers abandoned cottage purchased in 2005. The intrinsic character of the building and surroundings have been preserved to create a very comfortable and relaxing experience while being enhanced with all the trappings of modern life.
Very peaceful, secluded, rural setting in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, with easy access to the coast and market towns. Towels, bedding, electricity, oil, firewood, and wifi all included. Secluded dog friendly garden to the rear. For those wanting a digital detox get-away there is minimal mobile signal in the area, just unplug the wifi to complete the experience. No light pollution!
