Our first-ever visit to this part of North Norfolk, and this cottage provided the perfect base to explore the coast and surrounding countryside. Clean, comfortable and cosy but without being âover-fussyâmeaning we could feel very relaxed about our two fully housetrained (but hairy) golden retrievers who had a wonderful time investigating the local fields and walks or chilling out in the secure garden.Would happily come and stay here again if the route from Wiltshire was less tortuous - it doesnât look as though the Romans ever made it to Norfolk.
What more can we say
We enjoyed our stay here with our dog
Very convenient to cycle to the nearest towns
There is a good walk in quiet lanes and across fields suitable for people and dogs
Not that far to drive to the popular and quiter coastal towns
Not far to drive to the coastal
Had a lovely midweek break, the location was perfect for us, tucked away in a peaceful haven with dog walks straight from the front door and a lovely enclosed garden that our grandson and dog thoroughly enjoyed and we spent most evenings sat outside .
The included facilities and comfortable rooms made it feel like a home from home.
We absolutely loved this place. The location is virtually silent, an abundance of nature and wildlife, yet still only a lovely 20 min walk to a fantastic pub, and 20 mins drive to amazing beaches. We would live in this cottage if we could!
Plenty of space for a family of 4. We loved the conservatory for family games and the lounge for family films! Close to Cromer for a day out. Just what we needed. Thank you!
great location ,average 30 mins to various attractions by car , local pub was very nice , interior of house nice and cosy, with everything you could need .
didn't want to leave
Beautifully quaint cottage, plenty of room for us 5 +terrier. Well equipped we had everything we needed. Loved the peaceful rural setting, just wish we were staying longer.
Communication with the owner was excellent. The only improvement I would make would be to have a king size double bed in the double room (but maybe we just like our space)
We loved our week in Westfield cottage. Peaceful, private, accessible to most of Norfolk, walking from the door, nice garden. The cottage was clean and comfortable had everything we needed. Highly recommended.
This is a quirky little cottage that has everything you need for a peaceful getaway. The location is outstanding, down a walkers track overlooking farmers fields. The beds were very comfortable and the master bedroom is especially nice.
We had a few days staying in this lovely cottage . We had our 2 dogs with us. Everybody had a great time the cottage is very comfortable a really lovely place to relax
We had a lovely stay at Westfield Cottage. The cottage was everything we hoped it would be - homely, spacious, peaceful. Good location for accessing many local attractions with a car and always a delight to return to after a day out and about. Thank you!
Lovely Rural Location and also convenient for the coast.
The cottage provides great accomodation ( 3 adults and 2 children in our case). It has a great garden suitable for our 2 dogs. The sunroom overlooking the garden is particularly nice.
The cottage could do with a little tlc, nothing serious But an upgrade of the cooker and fixing the sticking rear door would be, l am sure, appreciated by future guests. We would certainly stay again.
The property is ideally located to explore a Norfolk, being close to Norwich and the coast. There are country walks from the doorstep too.
As a family of five, the property worked well for us and the garden is a good size for dogs.
We had thought the garden was secure, but one of our dogs found a big gap in the mesh behind the shed.
While the house is well equiped, the refurbishment was clearly done some years ago and it is looking tired now, both inside and out.
The property is good value for money.
This is the second time Iâve stayed here with my partner, our two year old son and our 2 year old cat Loki. An absolutely amazing cottage for all three of us and our needs. So beautiful & so so peaceful you just feel like youâre out of the country. Paula & James are super hosts always just a text message or call away and the care and thought gone into our stay every single time is just amazing. We hope to stay here many more times and if your looking for a beautiful & peaceful cottage with a private enclosed garden .. a beautiful large fireplace & amazing country walks just outside your doorstep then look no further then Westfield Cottage .. you wonât be disappointed!
Nice cottage, bit dated, in need of some tlc, painting etc. Beds firm but all rooms without fans and upstairs stuffy and hot on warm days/nights. Hottest day of the year windows open, flies everywhere and no fans to cool us but kids screaming all day in a pool in a neighbouring house, so sat in back room, hot and unhappy.
No outdoor equipment, sun parasol or deck chairs etc. Facilities mostly good, but a few quid and a little consideration would make great differences, tiny tv, no microwave equipment (bowls etc.), either teaspoons or spoons for giants, cheese grater useless etc.
This property has undergone a painstaking restoration from the neglected farm labourers abandoned cottage purchased in 2005. The intrinsic character of the building and surroundings have been preserved to create a very comfortable and relaxing experience while being enhanced with all the trappings of modern life.
Very peaceful, secluded, rural setting in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, with easy access to the coast and market towns. Towels, bedding, electricity, oil, firewood, and wifi all included. Secluded dog friendly garden to the rear. For those wanting a digital detox get-away there is minimal mobile signal in the area, just unplug the wifi to complete the experience. No light pollution!
