I loved the apt. Rachel, the host was easy to communicate with and she made check in easy and was very accommodating. The apt is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to great food and convenience stores. I loved sitting in the bright sunshine in the morning and listening the sounds of birds singing.the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable. There are convenience stores close by as well as restaurants. We recommend Da Vila for delicious burgers and appetizers as well as Anna Purna Restaurant Nepalese which we went to two days in a row-oh so good! This is the perfect spot to enjoy Lisbon's activities yet still feel like you are in a peaceful place to relax at the end of the day. I would stay here again!
A great trendy unit located only a 10-minute walk from the hub of Lisbon - with lots to see, do and experience in between! This is a great place to land for a few days or even longer!
Very charming and tastefully decorated apartment centrally located in Lisbon about a mile from the train station. Easy check in with a young women that met us out front and showed us the apartment. Super clean, comfortable beds, working ac in master bedroom and living room. Great hot water pressure and temperature with two showers. Onsite washing machine was very convenient with a drying line. Enough coffee left for the first two days, with multiple corner markets within a block walk. Traveling in Portugal for 12 days, this was our favorite apartment. Highly recommended!
The check in process was not communicated well. Did not get information about checkin within the 24 hour period and had to contact VRBO and see what was going on. I contacted the host as well and did not get much information. Then we were told that somebody would meet us at the flat and I communicated with them directly about arrival time where we were in the process of arriving, and how long it would take us to arrive at the flat only to be ushered in and told we were late and didnât have time to go over things with us. We selected this flat because of the location and because it had a washing machine which turned out not to work. We tried contacting the host to see if it could be fixed and they wanted to know what was wrong with it, which we didnât know because we were told it was broken. For the cost, we shouldâve known that the washing machine did not work so we could have found another location.
The apartment is just as described. It was a perfect space for my family of five. We spent most of our days away from the flat, but the space offered everything we needed, including a dining area, two bathrooms, and even an iron and ironing board. It was about 5 to 10 minutes from all the sites we wanted to see and has a small grocery and bakery up the street for bread, muffins, water, and wine. The property managers were very responsive. Someone met us upon arrival to let us in and walk us through the apartment. Iâd highly recommend it.
We got into Lisbon in the early afternoon and arrived at the flat by mid-afternoon. We were met by a woman who gave us one key to the flat.
We slept that night in the only bedroom with air conditioning (it was hot in Lisbon in July). The A/C must have had a problem with the compressor, because every 10 minutes it made a very loud buzzing noise like an alarm clock. My partner moved to the other room without A/C and sweated through the night.
Next morning we woke up to loud construction sounds, which happened every day.
By the end of the second day, a very bad sewage smell began emanating from both bathrooms, but particularly the master bathroom. We ended up closing that bathroom door and never using it again.
They were responsive when we reported the sewage smell. Their fix was putting a very intensely scented chemical in the toilet, which only masked the scent of sewage and was absolutely unbearable. When we mentioned the scent was unacceptable, the owners said "that's the smell of Lisbon in the summer."
Most unsafe was the light at the top of the stairs was out. There is no interior light in the stairwell once you close the apartment door, so it is extremely dark. We had to be very careful not to fall down the stairs. They "fixed" it on day 3, but by day 4 it was out again. We left on day 5. But paid for 8 days. Very unsatisfied with our stay.
