We couldnt find the other two bedrooms for a while! This place will take you by surprise. The downstairs boasts a stained glass CAT and a spa style 70s delicious bathroom. Would recommend.
My family absolutely adored this place. It may be a bit rustic, but with the view and access you cannot go wrong! We were really close to a fun beach and had good access to explore the Redwoods. We planned an extra day to just relax, play games and enjoy the views. The grocery store is also close and we were able to make homemade meals in the kitchen. We ate at a great local place for dinner one night and were not disappointed. As a family of runners, the main road was wonderful to get a few miles in on the Pacific.
This house was perfect for us, although it would be good for about 6-8 people. The views from the balcony were spectacular!!! Couldn't ask for a better view. So peaceful and serene. Close to everything also. Would definitely come back here.
This house is so unique and fun and the views are INCREDIBLE. Lots of place to go nearby and felt nice and private. Absolutely would not hesitate to stay here again!
Arrived during a âbomb cycloneâ to find this sturdy little cliffside house clean, well-stocked and cozy/warm. The views are absolutely stunning - we saw numerous whales- and we loved the 70s vibes and furnishings. This is a one-of-a-kind place that our family will never forget.
Our 3 night stay was great! We wish it could have been longer. Going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the surf is one of the things that soothes our soul, and this house provided that to a tee for us. It felt like Grandpa and Grandma 's house with the decor and furnishings, but we did not lack for anything during our stay. Dishes, pots and pans, and all the kitchen gadgets needed allowed us to prepare some great meals. Will definitely stay here again.
I was so excited to stay based on the VRBO listing. BUT... there were major leaks in the roof leaving water spots in the ceiling. There was only 1 small window that opened over the sink so by the afternoon the sun had heated up the "cabin" so hot it was miserable. Furniture was held.toge
This home is unlike any other in so many ways and in all the best ways. The home is just as described. The home has a fun, eclectic, mid century feel but is purposeful and cozy. I highly recommend taking the opportunity to stay at this one of a kind property on the edge of the water.
We stayed here for over a week and absolutely loved it! The house is huge and is like going to your favorite grandmaâs house. There are cool features from decades past and everything works. The owners have taken great care of the property and it feels like your house; stocked with anything you might need. Like the ad says, this is not a hotel but Iâll tell you itâs better. Crescent City is a sweet town with excellent food and you are in the Redwoods in 15 minutes!!
Alex was great and we hope to come back. Thanks!!
The view is amazing!! Some minor changes needed Futon in downstairs room and west windows blinds replacement. Kitchen was GREAT with pretty much anything you might need! Many nearby excursion opportunities! Loved our visit!
This is our third time staying here. We loved it just as much as always. The views, the sound of the ocean while we sleep, watching the birds out the window, sitting on the balcony taking in the beauty- this is one of our favorite vrbo locations.
A retro cabin with a beautiful view and an excellent location.
Our family loved this cabin! The view is spectacular, the cabin is roomy and has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. My only nitpick is there was no useable outlet in the upstairs bathroom, but there are plenty available in the downstairs bathroom, so it was not a huge issue.
The location was superb for beach access, drives and hikes in the Redwood parks too. Oceanside Cabin is close to grocery stores, the marina, the lighthouse in Crescent City and Point St. George. We were close to everything really and had things to do every day. Then we enjoyed beautiful view to relax with when we returned after enjoying the surrounding areas. I really didn't want to come home.
I will point out that the house is a time capsule and while you still have everything you need, renters should expect to go back in time. But there is charm in that and a bit of nostalgia, or novelty, to add to your stay.
We would stay here again. Loved it!
The views from this house are unbeatable! Yes, the house is dated, but thatâs the charm! If you want new and modern, look somewhere else. If you want a cozy home base to explore the redwoods, with a magnificent view of the ocean, stay here.

This should not even be being rented in the condition itâs in. The entire home smells horrible likely from mold, the bathrooms and windows are covered in black mold. The carpets are so disgusting and past usability they even cut a chunk of carpet from the dining area and threw a cheap entry mat over the missing section and continue to rent it like that. Thereâs carpet in the downstairs bathroom that must have hundreds of guests urine soaked into it. The electrical doesnât all work, kitchen and mudroom are cluttered and filthy, furniture is all broken. The heaters are not adequate to keep home at 68 on cold days as required for rentals. They have a fireplace but do not provide any wood. Some of the structural exterior concrete is falling off the house. Itâs slumlord status and is going to be reported to city and state officials for review of their license. This is completely unsafe and unhealthy in its current condition. They are also not ada compliant as they attempted to charge us for bringing a mobility service animal despite federal law and vrbo policy protecting ada service animals. Its a shame this is so mismanaged and neglected.
