This was an amazing property nestled in the forest! So close to the ocean & the Redwoods! The house was great for the 10 people we had in our group. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking for our crew. Loved the trails around the property, the piano and a huge dining room table. Highly recommend!
This place was just incredible. I thought we must be lost pulling down the driveway. I never could have imagined having such a beautiful property to stay on. We were not wanting for anything here. Will definitely look into staying here again.
The property and house are beautiful. Perfect for what we needed and wanted for our family.
Unfortunately the master bedroom bed is quite uncomfortable, but it worked for the 2 nights.
Overall...we would definitely stay here again.
The setting here is incredible -- redwood forest, large lawn area. The house is situated for best enjoyment of this. House is beautiful, kitchen well appointed. Highly recommend.
Love the floral and fauna., piece and quite. Great family get together. Very little intenet, and TV. Perfect, if you looking for quality time and reminiscing with your loved ones, this is the place. The piano and musical instruments were a plus. This place reminded me of the Waltons. Great yard for children to play outside and stay busy.
This house is very quaint. It is in a beautiful setting with majestic trees and foliage. The house itself was very clean. All in our party were between 65 and 75 years old. Tall stairs and a-lot of step downs and step ups created a hardship on a few. Overall I would highly recommend this place! đđ
This property was perfect for our family vacation. It slept 8 adults and 2 children comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked meals there everyday. The location was amazing. We were close to town, the beach and the Redwoods, but still felt secluded and private. The trails around the house were awesome and the wild berries were fun to hunt & delicious to eat. Checking and out was a breeze and the couple questions we had received quick replies from our host. Our whole stay was lovely and the kids were begging us not to leave on the last day.
First let us say THANK YOU for allowing our family to spend time in your wonderful home. This was a Fantastic Location for our family. The house was warm and welcoming and had more than sufficient space for all 11 of us. The private trails in the Redwoods that are just off the yard of the house were fun and easy for the kids and adults to explore. The little pond was perfect to float some small RC Boats and were the absolute place to be for the younger than 10. There were plenty of dishes and utensils for everyone. The fold out couches were very comfortable but were not quite as private as a couple of our teenagers would have liked. They still enjoyed them. Less than (5) Five minutes to downtown Crescent City, the beaches, or the south road to the Stout Redwood grove were very convenient. Overall an amazing place in the Redwoods. The only drawback was the Internet. It would only connect for a few minutes for us. We did not need it so it was not a big deal. Highly Recommend this wonderful home for anyone looking for the perfect spot in the Redwoods!
Instagram worthy pic but should have gotten a hotel
Pulling into the property there was a man in the driveway who then ran off into the woods. Husband tried to find him but couldnt. No blinds on windows on downstairs windows (and its all windows) so we could see the neighbors house and Im sure they could see us. We felt very exposed and unsafe. The front door was unlocked when we arrived. The owners had a package delivered to the home while we were there. The blinds upstairs were broken so we couldnt roll them up like we wanted to see outside to see our vehicle for safety. No control over the temperature of the home. Thermostat is locked. We were sent a bunch of ridiculous cleaning instructions AFTER we paid and cancelation period was over. Im not doing laundry when we were charged an enormous cleaning fee and there was hair in all the showers anyway. No soaps or shampoos. Broken trim in kitchen on step that everyone tripped over that was previously taped (!) to correct. Little water pressure upstairs. Took 48 minutes to fill jacuzzi tub over the jets. Not enough pressure to rinse our hair in upstairs shower. Hotels have better water. Trail cameras are on property and they joke they wont put you on youtube. Unacceptable. Trash in front flower beds. NOT 5 bedroom. There are 5 bedrooms but one has a sofa bed in it only. Old dated decor and white carpet.
Just get a hotel room. The only benefit to having this house is a nice photo of the exterior
We loved our stay in this delightful home! We stayed here with our extended family for a reunion, and many felt like this VRBO home was one of the highlights in Crescent City. The home is located on 20 acres of with little trails through Redwood trees. We picked blue, thimble, salmon, and huckleberries in early July. All the grandkids loved having the open space to explore.
The property was also close to the hiking trails in Jedidiah Smith State Park and tide pools we visited near the lighthouse.
The house was very clean and comfortable. The living room had a lovely open space with windows everywhere displaying the beautiful property. The kitchen had all the provisions needed with a large pantry for storage. The beds were comfortable and all the couches had pullout beds to use. We absolutely loved our stay here and would repeat the vacation to stay in this home again.
Fabulous house! Loved being in the Redwoods! Great Management!
We give this property and the management company a giant thumbs up. House was spotless, comfortable, has a spacious wonderful kitchen, there was lots of space for privacy and trails through second growth redwoods from the front door!! Couldn't ask for more!
This home was very clean and inviting. Very roomy and spacious. We loved being in the forest and away from the city life. A great place for a family vacation.
Our family and my brothers family thoroughly enjoyed the seclusion of the location and the space of the house. All of the amenities are well thought through to help the experience of our stay. The only detail that was subpar were the nonworking lightbulbs in places. Other than that small detail, everything else is very positive.
Fabulous place to explore the Redwoods and beaches!
Don't hesitate to book this place for your family vacation! It's in a beautiful secluded location, but not far from town, many beaches, and the amazing Redwoods. The house was beautiful, clean and extremely spacious. The photos really don't do it justice! We had eight people total, and there was plenty of room for for more. It's a great house for large groups! Communication was excellent and checking in and out was a breeze. There are trails that are marked on the property, so you can go for long walks without even leaving. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend this lovely home.
Pictures and description of this property do not do it justice. It was AMAZING! The kids loved playing on the trails around the house and picking fresh berries to snack on. Grandma loved the older feel to the home and the views from the parlor. Us parents loved all the space. The Kitchen was fully equipped (do bring plastic cups for the kids), laundry room was at the ready, and the hosts provided outdoor toys for the kids to enjoy (soccer ball, frisbee, kites, etc). All the mattresses on the beds were great and there was plenty of extra pillows/ blankets. We loved the location as it was close to the red wood state park and all the local beaches. Simply an amazing property and amazing host! I shorted us a day and didn't realize it until the day before we left. Jenna went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! Will 100% stay again!
The property is breathtaking. The views are gorgeous. The trees are beautiful and each window has great views. The house is fully furnished and clean. The place is comfortable and a great place to relax. We stayed a week and were very sad to leave.
The house and property were so nice and well-maintained. We loved the privacy but also how close it was to town and all of the things to do like going to the Redwoods and the beach. Would definitely stay there again.
