Las Masias de Cristina is unique opportunity to explore the authencity of an antique historic Catalan ”Pairal” (mansion), improved with all modern facilities.

The garden (park)
When you rent Las Masias de Cristina, you will actually have two holiday homes situated in the same very big “park-alike” garden, connected with the lawn and the pool area. The garden is excellent for ball games and has many shady corners, and the big pool area with a big swimming pool of 12 meters x 6 meters, is excellent for relaxation and a swim on a warm Catalan summer day.


The holiday homes
The names of the two grandfathers Manel and Joan are used to separate them. They are both beautiful houses in authentic Catalan limestone style, and have never been for rent before, so it is a fantastic and unique opportunity, that it is now possible to rent these beautiful houses.

Can Manel has four levels. In the ground floor, you will find a kitchen ad living room with sofas and TV. There is also a toilet. Then seven steps up, there is an apartment with 2 double rooms (1 double and 1 twin), and a bathroom. In the first floor, there is a big hall with sofas, a piano and TV, and distribution to four additional bedrooms. There is a suite double bed and with private bathroom, and then 1 double room and 2 twin rooms sharing a bathroom. Finally on second floor, there is a hall ideal for teenagers to get some privacy and a big bedroom with four single beds and a toilet.

Can Joan has also four levels and in addition the cellar/bodega. For big groups, the ground floor of this house is perfect, as there will be seating for a large group around the very large dining table, and a directly connected, fully equipped kitchen. Alternatively, you can eat outside on the terrace, or if you prefer a refreshing place for your lunch, the wine-cellar (bodega), has been equipped with a very big dining table also.

The bedrooms are situated on the upper floors. Four steps up, there is an apartment with 3 bedrooms, a double room with private bathroom, and another double room and a twin room sharing a bathroom. In the first floor your find 5 more bedrooms. There is a hall with sofas and access to the bedrooms. A double bedroom and a twin bedroom share one bathroom, and 3 other double bedrooms share another bathroom.

The second floor is a suite has a double room with double bed. Here, there is no air-conditioning, but a fan is available for varm nights.


Facilities
Both kitchens are fully equipped with dishwashers, big fridges and freezers as well as other kitchen utensils, stove and micro wave . In both houses you will also find washing machines and dryers.

As entertainment, there is a table tennis and a “children’s billiards”. Also in the garden, there two football goals, so you can one time for all settle who is the Messi of the family.

The house has also WIFI installed, so those who wants to stay connected the world outside this holiday paradise can do so.

CELEBRATIONS - MUSIC:
The house has nearby neighbours, so music or other loud behaviour is prohibited of respect for the neighbours. If you just come for a relaxed holiday, it is not a prolem, if just to limit music to be played inside.

ENJOY BEACH, WINE AND BARCELONA!
The house is perfectly situated for exploring some of the best features of Catalonia. The beach is just a moment away in Calafell (9 km.), where you find the most beautiful sandy beach, and of course a selection of restaurants and bars. You can also find restaurants and shopping even closer in El Vendrell (6 km.) and a very local restaurant 3 km. from the house only.

You will stay in the Penedés wine district, surrounded by vinyards, and with endless bodegas offering visits. The owners are also wine producers, and they can also organise a tasting in the house as well as a paella night, where they make a show-cooking of paella, so you can both learn and taste. They offer a dinner (or lunch) package, where also drinks are included.

The obvious city to visit is of course Barcelona, which is also fantastic city. You can get there in less than an hour by car, or you can take the train. We will also recommend locally the town Vilafranca del Penedés (especially the Saturday market is nice) and then Tarragona with it beautiful roman amphi theatre and antique town centre.
