Un superbe appartement spacieux de deux chambres à l'intérieur des murs de la ville historique de York à deux pas de la rivière Ouse avec vue sur la rivière depuis les deux chambres et le salon. Meublé pour vous offrir une vraie maison, vous devriez avoir tout ce dont vous aurez besoin. Une grande baie vitrée dans le salon est l'endroit idéal pour regarder le monde passer. Il y a une grande télévision à écran plat, un lecteur DVD, une Xbox 360 et une station d'accueil pour iPod Bose. La cuisine entièrement équipée a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour vos besoins en restauration et dispose d'appareils de qualité. Récemment rénové avec des meubles en chêne massif, l'appartement est impeccablement présenté avec des touches supplémentaires. La chambre principale a un lit à baldaquin en chêne massif et une salle de douche attenante avec sèche-serviettes. Le lit dans la deuxième chambre peut être configuré comme un lit king-size ou des lits jumeaux. Les deux chambres ont un grand espace de rangement. Cet appartement au deuxième étage dispose d'un ascenseur et bénéficie d'une place de parking couverte sécurisée et allouée sur place. Un accès Internet gratuit via WiFi est fourni.

Lovely property that was well furnished with the key appliances (dishwasher, clothes washer and dryer, etc). Comfortable beds for two adults and two children. Very close to city centre and we were able to walk to the major attractions and to/from the train station for arrival and departure. Recommended!

New year get away

Fantastic place for four plenty of space one en-suite one good size family bathroom with a great shower. Comfy lounge and well equipped kitchen ( not that we used it to many nice places to eat on the doorstep) will definitely look at this the next time we are in York

Great spot in York

We had a fantastic time in York at this accommodation. It has everything that you will need I could even do a bit of baking. Very comfortable and so close to the Centre of town. Fantastic view out the window to the river as well. Highly recommend this one. Debbie Heck

Brilliant Apartment, Thoughtful Hosts, Ideal Location in a Lovely City

The apartment is extremely well appointed and was thoughtfully provided with milk, eggs, butter etc. Its location within easy walking distance of York's many attractions could not be bettered. We would not hesitate to re-book if we had the chance to return to York and are most grateful to our hosts for a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Skeldergate Apartment

It was our first visit to York and it certainly didn't disappoint. The apartment was very comfortable and well appointed. It was in an excellent position within easy walking distance of everthing. We would certainly recommend it.

Long weekend in York

The apartment was immaculately clean, and had everything that you could want for a lovely holiday. We were met as promised by the very nice keyholder, and everything was clearly explained to us. The location is brilliant, only a few minutes walk from all the main attractions in the city, and we had a great view over the river. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen nicely set up. It was very convenient having a safe parking space for the car, which we didn't need at all during our stay!

Best location

All was excellent . A nice touch was some basics left in the fridge and kitchen . A great welcome from Amanda . The location is 5 mins from the centre . The only negative was the noise late at night and early morning with trucks etc . If you’re a good sleeper there wouldn’t be a problem. Great view to the river from the lounge . Good communication with Elaine the owner .

Super flat

Very well presented flat with lots of nice touch's such as milk , butter and jam waiting for our first morning! Every imaginable amenity in the flat and very clean. Central location but unfortunately some street noise at night from a pub across the river. Ok if you keep the windows closed.

We had a lovely visit at Elaine's place in York. Her flat was very clean and tidy as well as had all the amenities we needed to make our stay enjoyable. I appreciate the extra care that Elaine arranged with Amanda for a meet and greet. , this helped our transition at the flat go smoother. Elaine answered all of my emailed questions promptly and thoroughly. I highly recommend Elaine's flat in York, excellent location and helpful to have dedicated parking. greet,

This is my husband and my second time to book a stay at Elaine’s flat in York. When our October travel plans came together and we knew we wanted to return to York for a visit again, I immediately booked with Elaine. Her place is clean, perfectly located to access York’s tourist sights, restaurants, fully stocked kitchen (equipment) and best of all her place has secure dedicated parking. When communicating with Elaine she responds very quickly and worked with me once we reached the UK communication wise (via text). I especially love the touch of the meet and greet with Amanda to show us around the flat and make sure we know how to enter/leave the flat/building. Amanda comes with a bit of food (milk, croissants and juice for the morning) which is so helpful especially for weary travelers flying from the west coast of the US. I can’t say enough nice comments about Elaine’s flat - we look forward to our next visit in York and of course staying at Elaine’s flat.

Excellent Choice But ...

The location and secure off-street parking are big pluses for this property. Easy walking within the old city. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped. We did, however, have issues with hot water. The owner gave us a workaround which was partially successful. But showers were tepid at best for our last two days. Hopefully, this problem has been resolved.

Thank you for the review. We are sorry that the immersion heater in the bottom of the water tank failed the day before you checked out, fortunately the hot water cylinder also has an immersion heater that heats the top third of the cylinder (80 litres at 70 degrees) which should provide a reasonable quantity of hot water. As discussed we didn’t want to disturb you on the last full day of your stay having the electrician call to replace the immersion heater, so the new heater was installed as soon as you checked out on the second day. Hopefully if you return to York you will choose to stay with us again.

Perfect Stay!

Perfect apartment, perfect location, perfect experience. We greatly enjoyed our stay in York not only because we loved the city and people but because each day we could return to this roomy, comfortable, lovely apartment with a perfect view of the Ouse River to relax and recharge for the next day. The location could not be better and everything we wanted to see was within a 5-10 minute walk. Highly recommend!

Perfect for seeing York

We were two senior couples and found this apartment perfect for seeing York. We never moved our car from the car park and were able to walk everywhere. The apartment had everything we needed and was the perfect base to explore York. The elevator for us was a real plus.

Perfect in every way

This apartment is ideally located near the hub of York but away from the hustle and bustle. It was extremely well cared for, beds were very comfortable, furniture, kitchen and all amenities were top of class. We (4 seniors) rate this accommodation as excellent and recommend it highly.

Lovely apartment in great location. Easy checkin with secure parking. Bonus having access to the gardens as was beautiful weather. Everything very accessible for the city as minutes away from everywhere. Nice little extras too, such as toiletries, items in fridge plus fully equipped kitchen. Loved it!

Good week

As a family of 4, we were wanting for nothing from the apartment. The beds were soft, the showers strong, WiFi reliable, and the space was comfy. If by some freak of nature we’d been snowed in, there were nice, thoughtful extras to have kept us occupied. The location was perfect to shops and restaurants, with gated off-street parking and no worries. If we return to York, we hope we can stay again.
