Maisonnets invites you to experience the charm of this top-floor one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment, featuring original Art Deco touches throughout. The apartment offers a combined living/dining/kitchen space, plus a separate sunroom that can also be used as a bedroom for two if needed.
Tucked away in a quiet street, itâs just a stroll to eateries, shops, supermarkets, and St Vincent's Hospital, with the bars and clubs of Kings Cross and Oxford Street nearby. You can easily walk to Kings Cross train station and bus services, and Sydney's CBD (Downtown) is under 20 minutes away on foot.
The Space:
Enter this light filled apartment into a lounge/dining/ kitchen space with stylish dark floorboards throughout, an ornate, original ceiling with a fan. Thereâs a comfy sofa for 2-3 people, as well as a dining table also for 2-3 people. The kitchen comes equipped with an Omega dishwasher, a good-sized fridge/freezer, 2-burner gas cooktop, gas oven, a microwave, DeLonghi coffee maker and a breakfast bar with 1 stool. A window offers city and harbour views. The apartmentâs bedroom is carpeted and comes with a queen-sized bed, a large mirrored wardrobe, block-out blinds and its own ornate original ceiling with a fan for summer comfort. Off this room youâll find a tiled bathroom/laundry with a roomy shower recess and combined LG washer/dryer. Thereâs also a separate sunroom with a 'Smart' TV, block-out blinds and a day bed that can be extended to fit 2 people and used as a bed, bringing the total capacity of the apartment to 4 people if needed. A portable aircon unit will keep you cool in the hotter months.
Please note: This apartment is on the 3rd Floor and has no lift, so itâs not suitable for guests with mobility issues.
The Neighborhood:
Inner city Darlinghurst is known for its cool cafes, sleek multicultural restaurants, intimate cocktail bars and funky shopping. Nearby Oxford Street, a centre of the cityâs LGBTQ+ scene, has nightclubs and stylishly restored pubs. On Crown Street, youâll find record stores, offbeat fashion and vintage apparel. Supermarkets, art galleries, theatre companies and live music venues are all close at hand â although the apartment is set far enough away from the action for quiet time should you desire it. St Vincents Hospital is a short walk away, as is Paddington, Surry Hills, Kings Cross, Potts Point, Rushcutters Bay Park, the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (where the world-renowned Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race starts) and Sydneyâs CBD (Downtown).
Getting Around:
The apartment doesnât have dedicated parking and is best suited to guests who use public transport or walk, with everything you need within strolling distance. Public transport options are close at hand, including bus services taking you to the CBD (Downtown) and Circular Quay (home to the Sydney Opera House and ferry services) in one direction and major shopping/transport hub Bondi Junction in the other. It's a 6 minute walk from the apartment to Kings Cross train station.
Other Things to Note:
* Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process.
* The second bedroom is actually a sunroom without a door.
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm â 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on the circumstances.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
* Extra $40/night will be charged for guests after 4 or if the sofa bed needs to be prepared.
*If you are eligible for a full refund as per our cancellation policy, a processing fee of $50 still applies.
*After check-in, if you choose to shorten your stay, you will receive a 50% refund of the unused nights of your booking.
