Cabine / maison moderne de 3 chambres rénovée avec 2 étages, nouvelle cuisine avec tous les appareils, y compris lave-vaisselle, grand réfrigérateur, cuisinière électrique, cheminée en marbre pour 4 personnes, 2 nouvelles salles de bain complètes - une avec douche et une avec baignoire / jacuzzi, nouvelles fenêtres , nouveau toit, grande salle familiale 12 'X 22', table de cuisine pour 8, nouvelle laveuse et sécheuse, nouveaux planchers, foyer près de la maison, promenade jusqu'à la plage privée - 5 minutes. La plage est petite, mais pas très utilisée, pas de sauveteur. Awesome Leesville Lake est de 1000 acres avec 2700 acres de terre. 2 ports de plaisance sur le lac - location de bateaux. La chambre principale a un lit queen Tempur, un lit complet en deuxième BR et 2 lits simples au premier étage. La ville est à 10 minutes en voiture. Calme et serein - Super endroit pour s'évader, mais le service cellulaire n'est pas bon sauf pour Verizon. Petite plage pour association - pas de maître nageur, 1 heure 20-40 minutes du côté est de Cleveland. 2 heures du côté ouest de Cleveland. 2 heures de Columbus et Pittsburg aussi! Nouvelle terrasse devant la maison en juillet 2017 - tables et chaises en aluminium sur la terrasse, 6 chaises de camping pliantes pour le foyer, 3 chaises suspendues, un hamac pour 2 personnes et 2 chaises en gravité zéro.
La maison est sur la route du lac sur le côté non-lac, mais est magnifiquement situé dans les arbres sur une colline. DRIVEWAY EST SUR KNOLLWOOD, UNE RUE AVANT ROCKWOOD DRIVE. L'ADRESSE EST À L'ARRIÈRE DE LA MAISON ET À L'AVANT

Pas de parties de célibataires ou de fêtards! Pas d'animaux de toutes sortes. Pas de fumeurs - aucun de ces types d'invités ne recevra leur dépôt de garantie. Pardon!

S'il vous plaît noter que la maison est sur une colline et que le foyer est en dessous de la maison et sur la colline
 peut être un problème pour les personnes âgées. L'herbe sur la colline peut être glissante lorsqu'elle est mouillée. Pas de chiens / animaux domestiques. Seul le service Verizon fonctionne dans la maison et sur certaines parties du lac.

The host was very responsive when I contacted him prior to our stay. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens. The host was very upfront about the cabin being difficult to find which it is. There is also some gravel roads that we might not have gotten up. I would recommend having 4 wheel drive vehicle if you decide to stay here. It was around 30 minutes from Atwood lake park. The biggest issues that we had were the fact that when we arrived there were flies everywhere inside the cabin. There were around 20 flies flying all over inside the cabin. There were also spiders and spider webs in almost every crevice of the cabin. The electric door panel was dead to get in the door, the water and ice were broken on the refrigerator, so we decided to make ice in the trays in the bottom. When we opened the bottom to put them in there it was dirty. Debris all over the inside of the shelves. We were grateful for our stay but wouldn’t stay again.

I’m sorry to hear you had any issues with the house. I have written in the welcome information sent to guests before their stay that the driveway is on Knollwood behind the house. In 10 years of having guests, this would be the first time anyone has said a all wheel Drive car is necessary at Rockwood. I would respectfully disagree with that assertion. I’m sorry there was a situation with any bugs in the house. I will speak to the cleaning crew. I Believe this is a one time situation as no one else has complained about this being a problem. I was just down at the cabin last weekend and there was no issue. I used the fridge and freezer this last weekend and it was clean. My wife also thought it was clean. Just to be on the safe side, I will Have it defrosted and cleaned from top to bottom. The welcome directions specifically state the you only need the key to enter the house. Too many people had issues with the electronic deadbolt so it has been disabled. I’m sorry for any inconvenience regarding the water dispenser. We have a zero filter water dispenser in the refrigerator as it offers the cleanest water available (from the reviews I read) it is a large container and you can’t miss it when you open the fridge.

Sorry you had a hard time finding the place. I have put a map into my welcome message for new guests. I also put some photos in the welcome message to help find the place. It hasn’t been a problem for the vast majority of the guests. I also contacted all the map apps to include Knollwood Drive on their maps and I believe it’s in the works.

Nice getaway for my husband's birthday

There were two of us couples with four children. Rented a pontoon for a day, it was during the week and there weren't many other people around, which we loved. House is walking distance from a nice little beach where the children had a great time.

Fun weekend on Leesville Lake

Had a fantastic weekend reminiscing about my childhood weekends spent at Leesville Lake. Wonderful lake house with everything you could want provided. Clean, spacious home was perfect. Loved the multiple decks with hanging chairs, large table and great fire pit area. Only bad thing was that we couldn’t stay for a few more days. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for peaceful retreat.

This is my fourth year staying here. Nothing compares to sitting in the hammock chair with a good book on a sunny morning, on the deck overlooking a beautiful forest. It is the perfect balance of modern class and cozy cabin. Thank you!

Wonderful weekend

My late parents lived on this lake and my family decided to stay here after their memorial service. The cabin was perfect-- clean, well-stocked, peaceful. The kids loved lake swimming. We took long walks, made good meals and sat around the fire at night talking. It could not have been a more perfect weekend. Thank you!!!

Would stay again

Beautiful kitchen with all the supplies you could need and nice big table for family to gather around. Nice full baths. 2 decks w/ plenty of outside seating was so nice! Worth noting: no Internet, a bit difficult to find so follow the owner’s directions, driveway is a little steep, and lastly there is a strong musty odor. Odor trappers in each room & dehumidifiers don’t seem to be getting the job done.

I was just down at the cabin. Neither me or my family noticed any smell. I haven’t had any other complaints. I do have a dehumidifier do to the fact that we are at the lake. The air cleaner is due to my allergies. Glad you would stay again

It's diamond in the rough.

We were glad the weekend we selected was cool, the window unit would not have been sufficient for cooling the house in warmer weather. We enjoyed the space and the new lower deck, however additional outdoor seating would have been nice. The beds were comfortable, the linens were plenty, the kitchen was well stocked. We couldn't find a broom and the rechargeable broom vac didn't work well.

Thank you for your review. There are actually 2 air conditioning units in the house. One is downstairs and the other is upstairs. When both units are set and work in unison the house is very comfortable even when it gets hot outside. Since the deck was just built, I have been looking for the right outdoor furniture. For the short term, there are 3 hanging chairs, 2 zero gravity chairs and 5 foldable chairs in the meantime. The rechargeable vac has been replaced with a more powerful upright vacuum, and there is a broom in the Laundry closet or in the closet under the steps. I will make sure it stays in the Laundry closet from now on.

Amazing little hide away!

This home is exactly where to go if you are looking to get away! The home is recently updated and beautiful. Everything you need is there, kitchen utensils to cozy beds, great new bathrooms, great deck with cozy swing chairs and beautiful views. It’s tricky to find at first but the directions in the description are perfect. We had a great time, we enjoyed the lake by pontoon boat which we rented (2) 1/2 days at the Petersburg Marina. We floated and swam in the swim area , the lake is very clean and clear. We did not get a chance to hit the beach but it looked fantastic. The weather was not too bad, just a little rain here and there so we did enjoy hanging inside at the large kitchen table and a DVD movie upstairs. Overall this is a great place to stay, I highly recommend!

Overall Great!

When they say there is poor reception they weren’t kidding! That being said their suggested spots for the best reception where helpful. No WiFi. Very clean property and they even had little things that we had forgotten like a lighter for the fire pit. Neighbors seemed nice but where farther away so not much contact. No direct lake access which was misleading to us given the picture of the dock and lake. The public beach is only a mile walk down the road so it wasn’t to hard to find! Really a great place to disconnect and be in nature. Bring DVDs to watch in case of poor weather!

Thank you for your review. I don’t know if you noticed there are approx 28 DVD’s next to the DVD player, including 4 or 5 kid DVD’s. The beach is 2/10th of a mile which takes 5 -7 minutes. Just go out front door and make a right. This is mentioned twice on the site. Sorry for any confusionn and I do appreciate your comments.

Peaceful Retreat

Came for a few days to celebrate my husband’s birthday. While the house is not completely secluded, you are surrounded by trees and it’s quiet and peaceful. The house is spacious, with comfortable beds, quality linens and towels, and a well appointed kitchen. I like to cook and found everything I needed. Another bonus was quality glassware and ample matching dishes/silverware. No need to rough it or make due here! You will also find books, games and dvds for rainy days which we took advantage of. In addition to bedrooms there are a number of spaces in which to hang out. The large windows and modern decor add to the airy feeling of the house. We spent a lot of time on the lower deck- the hammock chairs were awesome! While we did not use them, I saw a canoe and fishing equipment as well. We rented a pontoon boat for a day from the marina down the street and had fun on the lake- I would highly recommend doing this. As we were checking out there was a crew beginning work on a fire pit, which will be a nice addition to the property. This trip was just what we needed and Steven was a helpful and conscientious host. We will do this again in the future!

Modern Relaxing Getaway

We really enjoyed this location and property for our family's "women's weekend" in late July of 2018. It's more private compared to many lake community rentals. Used and loved the deck, hammock, hanging chairs, outdoor dining table, fire pit, and full kitchen as we are not grillers and cooked all our meals in the home. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. We appreciated the attention from the owner leading up to our visit. We accessed the road to the development's beach through the neighbor's yard which is a bit overgrown with no clear path. Access to the road from the property would be a nice enhancement. We rented a pontoon boat for the day at the Petersburg Marina - fabulous! Info for renters - Follow the paved road to the west end of Parkland Drive to access Knollwood Dr (short but steep driveway) for an easier, more level drive. Extra bath towels are in the living room cabinets. The development's dumpster is behind a large building on Parkland Dr. Though Verizon cell reception at the home was adequate on the second floor, there was no signal from coming in from the west from the highway to the lake - plan your phone navigation accordingly.

This was our third stay and we just love it! We appreciated the new wall mounted air conditioners in each room. We spend loads of time on the decks, rented a pontoon boat at the Northfork Marina, and kayaked from the development's beach.

The property was in a beautiful setting. The area was a great to disconnect and relax.

The property was very clean and had amenities to make our stay very relaxing. Beautiful remodel to the home. Loved the porch, which is where we spent most of our time if we were not kayaking on the lake. Neighborhood and neighbors were very kind and friendly. Will definitely return to this home. The host was excellent about responding to inquiries.

Great place!

My sister's and I had a great experience here. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The back deck was perfect for morning coffee and evening hangouts. Would definitely recommend!

Fell in love with Leesville Lake. It doesnt feel like you are in Ohio! - More of a Pennsylvania feel due to the terrain. The lake only allows 9.9 HP motors, so its much quieter than surrounding lakes. Great place for fishing or just hanging out on the lake. Known as one of Ohio's best Walleye lakes. I live in Cleveland and have made a project out of renovating the place to a high standard of quality.

Walk to Leesville Lake (house is not on lake - its a 7-10 minute walk), one of the best kept secrets in Ohio for a awesome lake. The water is great for swimming and considered one of the best fishing lakes in Ohio for Walleye. Once you get here it's serene, quiet and beautiful. Downside is that town is a 10-15 drive from town and the major attraction is the natural beauty of the area and the lake! Rent a pontoon boat at Peterson Marina - 10 Minutes away.

This is not your fathers cabin, it is contemporary in the interior design, and is modernized in every way. Emphasis on comfort! Tempurpedic bed in master bedroom and foam topper on the other beds. No internet ,Just Peace and Quiet! Although, there is a TV and a DVD. Wonderful deck on first floor - 384 SF, where you feel like you are in the trees. Awesome fire pit off first floor deck. New 9/2020 -Central Air Conditioning and Heating.
