The true gem of this property is the property management- adobe. Greg came out on New Yearâs Eve to fix a water heater problem. He was kind and easy to work with. We were so grateful! The house was beautiful. The kids had an absolute blast!
The property is charming and secluded. The pictures are accurate; it really is that pretty. The 4th bedroom isn't so useful in the summer as it only has a door and no screen, so we were unable to use that room. (No A/C up in the mountains (which is fine))If there is any weather, moderate rain or any snow/sleet/etc, you need 4wd drive on the dirt road. The road is very well maintained, but it can get slick. The directions the host gives are spot on. Just follow them if you lose signal. We arrived late and were disappointed to find that the beds were filthy and the trash had not been taken out.We noticed the next morning that we had no water pressure. This is on a Sunday. Contacted the host, and they gave us instructions on how to blow out the sand in the well. That didn't work; the water (what little would come out) was brown. Contacted the host again, and they said they would have a plumber out in the morning.3 p.m. the next day comes, and still no water, and no plumber. Contacted the host again, and they stated they hadn't been able to find one yet. Some back and forth, they offered another property that was around half the size and would not accommodate our party of 5. We had to leave the property for another one with another host. Overall, I think this was a confluence of errors with the water well. We couldn't stay there, as it was uninhabitable with no potable water. If that were resolved, and I bet it is, then the property would be quite nice.
