Superbe maison d'époque, idéale pour 1 court séjour, 1 location de vacances, 1 séminaire d'entreprise ou 1 rassemblement familial. Construite en 1846, ses caractéristiques architecturales ont été préservées. 5 chambres, 3 salons (télévision par Sky - nombreuses chaînes de sport), 2 cuisines, bureau (internet sans fil haut débit ADSL) et 4 salles de bains/de douches/toilettes qui se trouvent aux différents étages. Balcon, terrasse, patio, jardin et accès privatif à 1 parc situé à proximité. 4 lits simples, 3 lits extra larges et 1 canapé-lit dans l'1 des salons. We had a wonderful getaway for our whole family (10 people ages 3-70). The house was exactly as listed, and even decorated for Christmas. The children were thrilled to play with the doll house, provided toys, and a galaxy projector in their bedroom (a hit for our space-obsessed little). Every room has detailed notes for every possible question, so I never needed to message the host with anything extra. Loved being on a quieter street but still with restaurants nearby and a quick walk to the heart of everything. The perfect holiday family trip!

Our family (ages 13-80) from the states enjoyed staying in this beautiful home for the holidays. The home had plenty of space and comfortable beds for our family of 12. It is located in a very walkable area of the city, and the Tube station is just down the road.This gracious host provided such helpful information before the trip, and made sure we were comfortable from day one with a basket of starter groceries. The downstairs dining room provided a nice gathering spot for morning coffee, and the sitting room was plenty large for evening chats.I highly recommend this property without hesitation. It was a perfect home away from home for us.

We had a lovely stay at the Violet House. The location was wonderful, and there was plenty of space for our whole group. It was a traditional row home and there can be quirks to that of course, but the hosts had thought of everything to make the stay wonderful. We will definitely come back next time we are in London.

Wonderful Vacation Home

This was a wonderful home to base our stay in London. Plenty of room for the 8 of us (2 families both with kids). And all the amenities we might need. Grocery and eating locations nearby were convenient. Communication with the owner was clear and so helpful. And more than anything being near the Pimlico Underground station was a so convenient for our daily outings around London. Would definitely stay here again!

London home for a week

What a wonderful location! Many tourist sites were within walking distance and the tube was nearby. Also lots of good pubs, stores, etc. There was enough room for our famiy of 11 to spread out but also to be together in the dining area. Everything was well stocked except towels but there was a washer/drier. Nice welcome basket on arrival. Very easy check in & key access. Really cute place, everyone loved it.

Great time. Pimlico area where houselocated a great neighborhood. Stairs were a bit much and AC only on top floor. But house sleeping arrangements quite comfortable and kitchen well appointed. Only wish they had an easier to operate drip coffee maker. Walked each morn to a close by coffee shop.

We need to point out that we do make it clear in all our advertising that air conditioning is only provided on the top floor - and that there are good fans in all the other rooms. We are slightly puzzled that you even needed it, given that the temperature in London did not rise above 70 degrees Farenheit (21 degrees centigrade) during your stay.

Amazing location and house. The owner was _amazingly_ responsive and every aspect of the house was labelled and explained. This is exactly what I expect for the price -- extremely responsive and helpful owner/manager, incredible property, and everything was well-communicated and explained so we knew what to expect in advance and when we arrived. Recommend without hesitation!!

Excellent property! Perfect for our group of 9 with 3 teenage girls! High end kitchen and laundry appliances. Dining table that seated all of us. Different styles of bedrooms for the girls to choose. Superb documentation of the property with clear directions for appliances and bathrooms. Bakeries, coffee shops, and grocery stores nearby. Our family enjoyed the house all the rooms all the space. It had a great kitchen. And it was comfortable. There are a lot of steps so if you travel light it’s great!

The pre-trip, during-trip, after-trip communications were great. The managers were very organized and responsive. The location near Pimlico station was great. We have no complaints. My 9 year old granddaughter really enjoyed her time in the conservatory. She took the room over when she arrived. All of the TVs, appliances, beds, and internet were fine.

We are a couple who have worked mainly in the theatre and the arts, although Adrienne is now a writer/researcher specialising in fatherhood and Martin coaches in communications.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We purchased our central London home in 1985 and lived there until 2008. The moment we opened the door we loved it. It felt then, and feels now, as if only happy things have happened here - which can't possibly be true, since it's more than 170 years since it was built! We wanted to live right in the heart of London, and you can't get much closer to the heart than this. We also wanted a characterful house, with high ceilings, classic original features and a sense of generations upon generations having lived there before us. And that is exactly what we got! We raised our family here, working from home, so the house has always been busy and full of children. When we downshifted to another part of London, we rejoiced that we didn't have to sell it, and that other people could now enjoy it too.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

The remarkable thing about 'Pimlico' (the area of the London Borough of Westminster in which our house is situated), is that it is quite like a village, and yet it is right in the heart of perhaps the greatest city in the world. Neighbours know and look out for each other; our street contains many family houses and has an active residents' association, the shop-keepers know us and are friendly, and yet the district is at the same time both cosmopolitan and fast-paced. In Pimlico you can live peacefully, yet never feel that life is passing you by.
