Great location! Great rooms and friendly check-in and checkout process. We really appreciated the basket of fresh fruit, cereal, milk and coffee. We had a group of 12 and really enjoyed our time in London.
We had 10 people from 7-73 and a great time. We arrived before check in time and we allowed to store our luggage there and start sightseeing. There was plenty of room for all of us.
The property was old, well maintained and probably due for more updates. It was in a central location and bus transportation was nearby. If you want English character over modern design, this fits the bill for a large family or group.
Brilliant location for a memorable family gathering
For my sisters 50th birthday we had a large family gathering in London. This beautiful house was the perfect location for close family to stay and explore this fabulous city. Wonderful location where we made some cherished memories
Myself a group of girlfriends stayed here for a 50th birthday celebration. The house is stunning! Very clean, easy to find and in a good location. Everything we needed was provided, including items for breakfast!
Would definitely recommend! Thank you for having us
We loved our stay. The park in the square was a huge bonus for the kids on top of a killer back garden. Lots of rooms to hold our big bunch and Lou and Judith were extra gracious with all of our needs. Thank you!
We had 10 people staying at the property,
Including 6 kids 11 and under. The property accommodated us all very well with plenty of space to spare. The location was exactly as advertised as fairly close to all the main attractions. The owners and their team were very easy to work with and even sent over higher powered fans when the temps got a bit warmer. Overall, it was very a positive and enjoyable experience.
We spent four nights with a family of 11. We had plenty of space and a big kitchen and living room for gathering. Our beds with comfy and there are plenty of bathrooms.
Easy to walk to Kings Cross Station or catch bus 63 near the house which will drop off at Kings Cross Station.
We had all our dinners in Exmouth Market because it was an easy walk for 11 of us. There are several very good restaurants that could seat our big group.
The house was perfect for us. There are 4 floors to this and lots of stairs so we put the younger ones at the top. There was a heat wave and they went out and got fans for us to ensure every bedroom was comfortable. They were very accommodating and had fruit and cereal for us. The only thing we needed was soap and shampoo and conditioner and that was easy enough to buy. Communication was great with them!
We were a group of 14, but the owner was very accommodating with us and extremely friendly and responsive whenever we needed anything. The owner provided us with free fruit, cereal, milk and other accommodations during the stay, and when asked, was willing to provide us with more fruit. The owner also was very lenient in letting us keep our luggage after the check-in date so we had a place to keep our luggage before our departure. The rooms were very clean and organized when we got there, with towels and tea ready in each room. The wifi was great and there were no complaints of the speed of the wifi, there were tvâs in every room and nice living spaces. Overall the trip was great and there was nothing more we could ask for!
We had a great stay here in London. The price was in our range and we got everything we needed. The owner was quick to respond to us with the only issue that happened with the property. We had a small leak and contacted the local person for help. She had a repairman out the next morning and had it fixed before half our group woke up. The property is easy to get to from Kings Cross station. It was in good shape. The rooms are a little small but why would you stay in your room in London. We had no issues at all and really cannot recommend this location enough to a large or small group coming to London. Great location and GREAT people to work with.
The house is spacious, spread out over 4 levels. Luis is attentive to your needs, and he stocked the kitchen with fruit, cereal and milk for us. The kitchen was not especially clean, but Luis is aware and will correct in the future. The big issue we had was a musty odor on the first floor and the top floor. This needs to be addressed for future rentals
This guesthouse consists of 7 separate guest rooms. The common areas in particular were cluttered, dated and very unclean. We were greeted by a closed circuit camera in the entry, an ear plug dispenser, and numerous signs stating that no outdoor footwear is allowed in the house, "thermostat - do not touch" and that "[Not] music to be [play] anywhere in the house after 10 pm." I reached out to the host to express my disappointment with the state of the property. She offered to send someone to clean the next day. We had timed-entry tickets to Westminster the next morning and I explained that the house should be clean upon our arrival, and that we should not have to spend part of our rented time having the house cleaned. There is a storage room or office inside the property. As we were returning to the house on our second night, a man walking ahead of us walked up to the door, took out a key, and let himself in. I shared this with the host and she said he was entering the storage room. Our six adult children were with us and we had shower drainage issues and insufficient hot water. There are fans and space heaters stored throughout the property. We were there in January and had to use space heaters because the main heating system does not heat all the rooms. There was also a dried out Christmas tree and dead and dying holiday arrangements around the house when we arrived on January 5. The laundry room was filthy and smelled so bad of mold we had to keep the door shut.
Excellent location near Kings Cross with great little park for children. Kitchen large and well equipped. Basic cooking materials and fruit were provided. Large dining table and family common area. Clean well appointed bedrooms with refreshment trays in each. Easy communication and good check in process. Highly recommended.
Renting the absolute lovely Judithâs house was a terrific decision. The location is perfect. The house has everything you need and each bedroom is fully equipped. Anything you need additional the house manager has in your hands before you think twice. We were a group of women occupying the entire house. We always had hot showers with good pressure, soft sheets and plenty of full length mirrors. We come from luxury homes in the states and travel frequently. We were all very happy in Judithâs home. And I made a new friend.
We had an amazing time at this property. It was everything advertised and more. The house itself is spacious and charming ( be prepared for lots of steps). We had an assorted family group of 14 and were able to comfortably accommodate everyone with room to spare. I have seen other reviews about the noise of the trains, but I think itâs exaggerated because we didnât notice them at all and the patio that overlooks the tracks is amazing (itâs the smallest room in the house with little closet space, but well worth the trade-off for the view). The property has an adorable fenced in yard that the kids spent time playing hide and seek and tag in, the park across the street was a perfect way to end the days with our eight year old and under children. Judith and Luis were wonderful hosts. We had a slight issue with the hot water, but it was probably more about our ignorance of how the system worked. I wouldnât hesitate to recommend this property for another family or large group. It was just a little family oasis in the middle of London (10 minutes walk to Kings Cross, which takes you literally everywhere).
