We were visiting family in Burnaby for the weekend and this studio was a perfect place to stay! It is spacious and well appointed with tons of attention to detail. The king bed is super comfy and there are plenty of pillows and blankets. The kitchen is compact but had everything that we needed. Kaia was quick to respond to any questions. Check in, directions and parking instructions were well communicated. I would highly recommend and will stay there again!
Cute and cozy studio with easy access to large off-leash dog park. Nice neighborhood location and easy to get to other neighborhoods or downtown. Narrow and steep stairs to access studio with no exterior lighting is tricky at night and in the rain.
What a wonderful place to stay! Great neighborhood with a beautiful park in the backyard and incredible mountain views. Easy parking and close to everything. The studio was so well equipped and made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Really nice place. Very nicely decorated. The bed is very comfortable with great pillows. There is also a beautiful park right behind the house that is pet friendly. I will definitely be coming back again!
Cozy and bright! Tastefully decorated with thoughtful touches. They had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Quiet neighborhood and comfortable bed. We would definitely stay here again.
Property Manager was very communicative and responsive.
My first time in Canada! Came to visit Vancouver and my cousin who recently moved to Port Moody, this was the perfect spot in between! It was exactly what I was looking for the only problem, the bed was way too comfortable. Itâs super close to the public transportation and lots of food places. Love the fact we had the wash and dryer and refrigerator for all the leftovers.
Located in a great neighborhood super quiet, lots of parking. Gorgeously decorated. I would love to stay here again!
We had a great experience and stay at the little Park Side Getaway! It definitely was a retreat for us. The location was great. It was so close to Hastings Street, which is full of many amenities and lots of food and good coffee! Being so close to Confederation Park was so convenient and easy. The place itself had everything youâd need. Super cute, cozy, and clean! If weâre ever back visiting the Vancouver area, weâll be staying here again!
My stay was pleasant overall, but there were a couple of drawbacks. The noise from the room upstairs was quite noticeable, especially footsteps, which disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Additionally, whenever water was used in the building, it sounded like a loud pump running for 15-20 minutes, which was a bit jarring. While these issues affected the experience slightly, the room itself was clean and comfortable, and the host was attentive and helpful.
Very nice room , king bed very comfy. Has everything you need.
Few negatives, tree in the way of access makes it tough with luggage etc, have to duck every time. Stairs up to place aren't great, no lighting in the dark and slippery in rain.
Don't open fridge before sleeping, makes a rattling sound while it runs, have to wait for it to kick back off to sleep .
The ads always say that you donât share with a host. This property should not be listed as a VRBO. The hosts were right upstairs. There was no soundproofing and I heard the childrenâs stomping every single morning and evening. There was also a closet with a back door which led directly into the hostâs home. Didnât feel private. And also the lighting up to the door to the entry was non-existent and I tripped and fell a couple of times. There is no walkway. You have to cross the yard on grass. It rained the entire time I was there and the wood steps were unsafe and slippery. There were also low hanging branches up to the entry which caused a risk. I arrived on my first night and crashed my head on that branch. I do not think this should be listed as a VRBO or charge as much per night as they do.
I stayed for three months over the winter. Having laundry in the unit was awesome. Bed very comfortable. Wonderful location...Confederation Park behind & lovely walk to library, fitness centre & Hastings St. Really great bathroom...big shower & lots of storage space. So nice to have a fireplace. What would I change? Get rid of the king size bed & put in a high-quality sofa bed so there's somewhere to sit comfortably & have some space during the day. I'm an artist & a 3x3 ft table was challenging, but I understand it is a small space to accomodate a bigger table. The chairs were quite awful. The little desk was fine for a computer but the chair was the wrong height The unit was spotless when I arrived, & cosy, & the little deck would be really nice for summer evenings. I found the pathway to the stairs a bit of a safety hazard, as it was not paved or gravelled to make it even, has stepping stones at odd intervals & was not lighted. The house is on a steep hill & there was quite often a car of one of the tenants parked right in front of the pathway access. The host did provide good lighting for the stairs & when there was a problem with it attended to it very quickly. In all fairness, for a short stay of a few days this little studio apartment is perfect, especially with a bus stop a two-minute walk away. For a longer stay such as mine some of the mentioned issues were more challenging. The neighbourhood is very beautiful, safe & quiet.I'm an artist & a 3fx3ft table tohavfimo
A little about myself. I live in Burnaby I grew up on the North Shore. This is the suite in my personal house. Hosting has turned into my career. I truly love it!
It is the most central location. You can go to the suburbs the North Shore in downtown easily from where I am situated. Also, I love that weâre close to the ocean and close to shops.
