Maluhia Hale est parfaitement au sommet de son acre paysager privé. Il y a beaucoup d'arbres fruitiers, alors flânez dans la propriété et profitez de ce que l'aina ou la terre offre. Avocat et agrumes ne sont que quelques-unes des choses que vous trouverez ici de façon saisonnière.

Maluhia Hale peut accueillir 6 personnes confortablement. La chambre principale avec lit king est située à l'étage et a sa propre entrée de lanai. Les deux autres chambres sont situées en bas et chacune a sa propre salle de bain avec grande douche à l'italienne. La maison dispose également de toutes les commodités modernes que vous souhaiteriez dans une maison de location de vacances, notamment une grande cuisine, une salle à manger pour 6 personnes à l'intérieur et même davantage à l'extérieur, une télévision par câble, une connexion haut débit à Internet sans fil limitée, ainsi qu'une machine à laver et un sèche-linge. La véranda confortable enveloppe presque toute la maison pour vous aider à capturer ces incroyables brises de l'océan hawaïen, idéales pour votre café ou votre thé du matin, vos dîners entre amis ou en famille, ou tout simplement pour vous détendre et vous imprégner.

The property was great! There was ample space to park. The house was clean and had all the basic necessities. The neighborhood was pleasant. The yard was beautiful with fruits, flowers and palms. I really liked the flexibility of the space. Wonderful place to have kids playing outside in the yard but also very comfortable inside space. The host communicated check and check out via phone and email and were quick to reply if I had any question. I would recommend this house to anyone visiting the Big Island.

Hilo is a true tropical paradise!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has been staying at Maluhia Hale for years now and it's always a pleasure! The huge grounds are like a park. The ATV to swim in waterfall tour was the highlight of our trip. We also enjoyed the Carlsmith Park tide pools, and Pohoiki Hot Springs and black sand beach at Isaac Hale Park. Be sure to bring water shoes, it's rocky.

all good except beds

Reviewer Comments: nice house, location good for us. well equipped except for the 5th class beds. hard futon in the master no boxspring. if the beds were up to par id give it high marks. beds are very important. its a big detraction from this otherwise lovely rental

Great House

We went to all corners of the island and given that the tourist sights are scattered all over the location of the house is ideal. The house very clean and well equipped. There were three big rooms with big bathrooms, which was nice. We had I question about rather the water was drinkable, which we called the manager about and she was very helpful. We had a great time at the house and would recommend it to anyone traveling to the Big Island of Hawaii.

Peaceful in Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This location is perfect for a couple of family. The home is welcoming, there’s plenty of space for privacy or a big gathering. We slept with the windows open, fell asleep with natures sound and woke up peacefully with the call of nature to let you know it’s morning. What a way to start the day with a morning coffee on the lanai followed by a great breakfast every day we were in this paradise. We love having a kitchen where we experienced all the local fresh veggies and fruits, YUM!!!The home is far enough away from the tourist area and central location to all the sites. The house is clean!!! The owner and management company was very responsive to our needs. We’ll return to this location again!!!

Family vacation

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was dated but clean and large, comfortable size for a big family. The place needs some TLC especially downstairs bedrooms floors need to get replaced and new paint. We had to keep all the windows and doors closed most of the time for security purposes(house alarm) that was not helpful with the humidity. So if you have allergies this is not the place for you. The garden was lovely but the neighbours dogs barking most of the time was not and we saw them running around in the yard. We love seeing the pigs, birds, frogs and more but they can be noisy especially at night so be aware of that. Over all, it was a lovely, convenient place to getting around on the east coast, we would stay again if not because of our allergies problems.

Great location, setting and layout for family.

Great location, not too far off highway but private setting and beautiful yard, easy access to everything on the island. Privacy but some nearby neighbors made it feel safe. Great home layout for family. Carport parking was great and essential since it rained EVERY day for 7 days. But, we expected that since we have been there several times. Parking in covered space with access to the house made it very easy to keep dry when loading and unloading. House has nice touch of far eastern furniture in great shape and kitchen/dining area made for convenient in home meals. House was very clean for day to day living, but fans, ceiling lights, etc need some real help which was why I rated it a 4 rather than 5. Biggest negative is that the large downstairs bedroom was not useable. During rainfall and for at least 12-16 hours after rains (virtually all of the time), the gutters fill with water and slowly leak. There is a steady VERY loud drip from the roof gutter down onto the first floor metal roofing at about 1 bang per second. More than 5 minutes in that room and you felt like you were being water tortured. Since it is the only side of the house not accessible by the Lanai, there was not an easy fix. If not for that I would give the home a 10+

Affordable, but...

Our stay at Maluhia was OK. Primary area of interest: it was very clean!! Otherwise, I was disappointed by the furnishings - the bedding was cheap (although the beds were decent); the living furniture was similarly cheap but also worn; the dining table was covered with a scrap of fabric that couldn't be wiped down after meals; the patio furniture was minimal; the primary kitchen "counter" was a low workbench covered with a cheap tablecloth (but it was cleanable!). Be prepared for a rather musty smell when you first arrive. It mostly disipates after a couple of days. Had some trouble with the gate code but the staff was very responsive and helpful. Check out was refreshingly simple :) During rains, the leaky gutters will drip loudly on the metal roof. They've reduced the noise by arranging rocks (which are already on the roof) so the drips fall onto them. As the rocks slip down the roof over time, they may need to be repositioned as we did. One downstairs bedroom had a loudly out-of-balance celing fan which we had to turn off at night. While a substitute fan was provided, it was rather too large to provide the light breeze that would have been nice for sleeping. The large fan was also needed upstairs for airflow. In summary, it was an acceptable place to stay, but we didn't *enjoy* the house.

Une belle maison

Une belle maison de style tropical dans un jardin absolument somptueux, avec cocotier, agrumes, avocats et plus encore à disposition. C’est un régal pour les yeux, les oreilles le soir (avec le chant des grenouilles). Cependant il faut reconnaître que la maison devrait être rafraîchie. Si l’on s’accomode facilement de vivre avec les gecko, on l’est moins de le faire avec les autres nuisibles. Rien de grave mais une grosse rénovation s’impose, surtout au niveau de la cuisine assez vétuste, sans lave vaisselle, qui paie un peu le prix des années d’usage. La maison est un petit peu loin des grosses attractions de l’île. Mais c’est le prix de la tranquillité :) à tenir compte lors de la réservation. Dan l’ensemble c’est tout de même un beau séjour en famille.

Beautiful house in nature

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Four of us stayed here for one week and loved it. It is a peaceful place with lovely yard and feels like your up in the trees. Was not close to Kona, close to Hilo. Nice place to explore the Volcano park close by and everyday we explored! It is also a nice house to just relax in and be with family and friends. There are singing tree frogs and many birds that make sitting on the decks a pure delight! I feel happy and greatful to the family who has this rental listed so we cpuld have a chance to be apart, for a few days, of the breath taking HAWAII!

Amazing House

Although the house is a bit off the beaten path it is fabulous with lush tropical landscaping providing privacy and it has a second story wraparound porch which is great for breakfast and the occasional dinner. We were a bit concerned about the lack of A/C but with all the windows and sliding doors open it feels just fine as there is always a refreshing breeze. I really loved the layout of the house and we felt immediately at home. The property manager was very helpful and made our stay very pleasant. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning for future vacations.

A piece of paradise

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A superb house located in a dream tropical garden. You will find calm and all that nature knows best in terms of fruit :) (avocado, citrus, coconut, ...). There is also a variety of wildlife: dogs, mongooses, and we also crossed (by far as a precaution) a huge wild pig ;-) In the house, you must resolve to live with the friendly geckos (take care to check their presence before closing the windows). We did not have any problems with any pests. The house seems to be effectively monitored on this point. The rooms and bathrooms deserve a small renovation, but the main room is very pleasant. The balcony is sumptuous for breakfast. The kitchen should be redesigned and renovated (a juicer is sorely lacking ;-)) During our stay, work was done on the adjacent land that seems under construction. Nothing very serious but it may surprise.
