The location of this home is great and easy to access the beach. The home is clean inside and maintained well, but there are a lot of bugs that can get in, including spiders. We didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor area due to the prickly plants getting into our shoes and flip flops. The beds were comfy and rooms set up nicely. Bathroom was clean but small and hard to shower inside.

The place was not clean when we arrived. Sand all over all interior floors. Sweeper packed full had to empty it to sweep. Dirty toilet. Glad I brought products to use. Leaky roof, which has obviously been happening from the look of the stains on the chair that sits under it. Yard is nothing of what you see in the pictures. Sand spurs and long weeds all over, could not even hang out back there unless you wanted to dig them out of your toes, shoes, and our dogs paws. Which they stuck to the bottoms of your shoes, then carried into the house and stuck to carpets and everything else. Felt like thats all I did was clean up after them or dig them out of someone or something. Refund for false advertising should be issued.

Super fun trip!

This house was everything as listed plus more! It was a block and half maybe from the beach where a lifeguard is stationed during day. We had fun using the houses body boards, beach chairs, and umbrella. The house was just what we needed to cook meals and had an awesome private backyard to relax.

We enjoyed our family vacation at oh-so-sandy very much after adjusting our expectations slightly. First, the location was wonderful, the beds were comfortable, and the AC/Ceiling fans kept the home extremely cool/comfortable. The downfalls were pretty significant, but we are pretty laid back and were able to make the most of it. First, we booked this house because of the fenced in yard and we had hoped our pup could play off-leash there. We immediately went out back upon arriving and then had to spend the next hour picking sand burs out of our dog’s paws and our shoes. The yard is NOT usable. So, the fire pit, grill, hammock, and yard space cannot be utilized. The rental company was unable to do anything to remedy this situation. Thankfully, there is a raised walkway to the outdoor shower, so that is useful and very handy! The screened in porch was functional, but obviously doesn’t get a thorough cleaning with spider webs and debris all around. We just used it as a staging area to wait our turn for the shower after time at the beach. The inside of the home was nothing fancy, but completely fine. The fridge was new and clean and there were plenty of pots/pans/dishware. Do not expect any “standard” kitchen goods like salt/pepper/spices/oil, etc. Thankfully, we brought our own. We did feel the listing did not accurately represent the home because of the yard situation and how those features were not able to be accessed.

Great cozy place! only a short walk to the beach!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place, very near to the beach, with only one bathroom but since it had an outdoor shower, this presented no problem.Ceiling fans in every room keeps this small house cool. The tangled bushes around the property make it very private.

Wow! My favorite house in 20+ years of OBX!

This house is small but filled with nostalgia. It is super close to the beach. It is pet friendly but you would never know it. It’s the perfect little place for 6 people. My boys and I loved it. The only thing I would add is a hot tub. I would totally consider for a girls trip in the fall with the fire pit. I can honestly say in 20 plus years of being in obx every summer this house is my favorite of all the houses large and small.
