Very beautiful and comfortable cottage. It feels like home seconds after you walk in. Many boats are provided and the lake is lovely. Stars come out at night. Host is super responsive.

Great swimming, nature-watching & cabin

The utter quiet and treehouse feel of this clean and well-appointed cabin was lovely. There’s a screened-in gazebo, everything you could need, and an exquisite lake for swimming, sunbathing and water sports.

Worked really well

The swings on site, boats and play structure was really great for the kids. Sleeoing layout worked well for our group of 4 kids and 4 adults.

This was my first experience renting a cottage and the whole process was exceptionally smooth. I am 69 and my niece is 37. We just wanted a relaxing get-away, with my 50 lb bernadoodle and 12 year old indoor cat. We booked from a Wednesday to the next Sunday the week after Labour Day in September. Our stay could not have been more enjoyable and relaxing. Cozy mornings by the indoor wood stove followed by hikes on near by trails (that we drove about 10 minutes to get to). Then afternoons on or by the water. We tried kayaking, paddle boarding and peddle boating but never did get the canoe out. The beach area was slightly tricky to negotiate but manageable. We saw herons, kingfishers, two adorable otters that chirped and played in front of us for about 15 minutes. One local dog, Murphy, came over for the occasional visit. Sleeping was very comfortable. Only two irritants were the light in the downstairs bathroom was extremely dim, and the logs for the fireplace were quite large. An in-between kindling size and large would have been great. Or an axe. . All in all it was a super vacation and very memorable. I would rent here again.

Hi Leslie I really appreciate the positive review. You left my cottage in immaculate condition after you left. I was actually questioning if anybody was actually there! Haha… I’ll keep an eye on the size of the firewood being delivered and split when necessary… and the main floor washroom light is on a dimmer. There’s a little slider beside the light switch. I noticed it was down low. So just a note for next time. You are welcome back anytime!

Exceeded Expectations!

Beautiful setting with lots of amenities. Cottage was clean with excellent appliances and lots of cookware. There was much attention to detail in terms of provisions in every space. Quiet lake with clear water and very private! The host was top notch in communication throughout the process.

Family vacation

My family visited Jared’s property and had a great time! It was cleaned and fully stocked with supplies, especially the kitchen. He had everything you could need. The property is beautiful but I would have to stay although very noticeable in pictures when booking, that it might not be the best fit for those who have a hard time with hills, I got a work out in every time I went to and from the lake. We loved our time and there and would recommend this listing.

Everything we needed

The place is absolutely gorgeous - such a tranquil location. There are multiple hang-out spots for those who need a break or a change of scenery (two balconies, screened in porch/balcony, fire pit area). The water is beautiful with a view of crown land on the other side. The cottage is spacious and accommodates many comfortably as described (although we were just a group of 3 and a dog!). Loved the fireplace on our cool nights, that was such a treat. There are lots of hikes in the area that we enjoyed in the mornings. St. Ola's station has great baked goods (just a few minutes away by car). Jared, our host, was an excellent communicator, and ensured the place was very clean, tidy, and well stocked (kitchen had all the tools we needed, lots of firewood, etc). . My only complaint is I wish we booked another day!

Communication with the owner was great. The cottage was loaded with everything we could possibly need! Our favorite was the deep water right off the dock for excellent swimming!
