About the home
âCowes Central Getawayâ is a delightful double-storey family home right in the heart of Cowes - just a comfortable walk from the beach and the supermarkets, restaurants & cafĂ©s of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs the home features an open plan kitchen/dining/living area (with smart TV, DVD player and fully equipped European laundry with washing machine and clothes dryer) leading onto the deck; Bedroom 1 (with smart TV and BIR), a bathroom (with shower & toilet), and internal access to the garage. Upstairs there is a second living area (with smart TV & DVD player) leading to a balcony, Bedroom 2 (with smart TV) and Bedroom 3, a main bathroom (with bath and freestanding shower), and a separate toilet.
Outdoor Areas
Outdoor living is catered for as well, with a fully enclosed outdoor space including deck opening off the living room. This comfortable area is equipped with a gas BBQ plus outdoor setting (seating for 12 plus 2 sun lounges), and an enclosed yard for the kids to play in. There is an additional balcony (with seating for 2) off the upstairs living room. There is ample space for cars also â two in the remote-controlled garage and room for another in the driveway.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, Aldi Expressi coffee machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and induction cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle split-system in the downstairs Living/Kitchen/Dining room, another reverse cycle split-system in the upstairs living room, plus one additional stand-alone fan which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 7 beds plus 1 sofa bed , accommodating up to 11 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): Two sets of Single Bunks and one Single Trundle bed
There is a double sofa bed in the upstairs Living Room suitable for two adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
