About the home
“Your Cowes Cottage” is a modest single-storey family home in Cowes just a short walk from the beach and comfortable drive to the all of the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
A central hallway provides access to Bedroom 1, containing a WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet), a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), internal access to the Garage, opening into the large open plan Kitchen (with WIP)/Dining/Living Room (with 65" smart TV) that flows through to the rear Alfresco. A second Living Room (with 55" smart TV) is off the Kitchen/Dining Room providing access to Bedroom 2 (with BIR) and a short hallway leads to Bedrooms 3 and 4 (each with BIR), a Bathroom (with bath & shower) and a separate Toilet.
Outdoor Areas
The fully covered rear Alfresco (with gas BBQ & seating for 6) overlooks the fully enclosed rear yard - perfect for children. The double Garage (with table tennis table) has internal access to the home and direct access the rear yard and has space to park 2 cars, with space for another vehicle (car and/or a boat) in the driveway.
Local Area
There are so many fantastic family-friendly activities close to the home including the Penguin Parade (8 min), Wildlife Park (5 min), Amaze n things (8 min), the Chocolate Factory (17 min), Cowes Beach (4 min), Wildlife Coast Cruises (4 mins), the GP Circuit (8 mins) and many amazing nature walks - all within 10 mins.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Delonghi Essenza Mini pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and 5-burner gas cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There are two wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in the home; one in the Kitchen/Dining/Living room and the other in Bedroom 1, plus three additional stand-alone heaters and three fans which can be used where required.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 6 beds, and 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 11 guests:
Bedroom 1: One King bed
Bedroom 2: Two Single beds
Bedroom 3: One Tri-bunk
Bedroom 4: One Queen bed
Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.
There is also a Double sofa bed in the 2nd Living Room suitable for 2 adults or children.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties, or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies, irrespective of whether school-leavers are part of the official Schoolies Program. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process. Local council restrictions are in place for this property, and compliance is mandatory.
