We loved our stay at the Mendocino, CA cottage in the redwoods. The cottage was beautifully designed, well-maintained and absolutely spotless. It was so peaceful and quiet with a view of the redwoods out every window. It was only about 5+ miles from downtown Mendocino. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage.

We had such a wonderful stay! The fresh air, beautiful trees and perfect accommodations were fantastic. The curvy, curvy roads through the forest allow you to totally forget about the crazy world you left behind. Every mile is more lovely than the next. There are short day trips to lots of gorgeous places. If you need to decompress and find a new perspective choose this one!

Exceptional Private House in the Woods

This little house is absolutely perfect. It’s clean, bright, and totally private, nestled in the beautiful Redwood forest and just minutes from Town. The hosts show an exceptional attention to detail with an eye toward making guests feel at home. From the provision of clean, new appliances, cookware and linens, to the King sized bed, keyless entry and art on the walls, our stay couldn’t have been better!

Amazing Find!

This little cabin was AMAZING. Everything inside was so nice, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The location is perfect, so easy to get to town, but removed just enough to be quiet and peaceful! Only thing that would make this stay “over the top” good would be a hot tub! Seriously cannot recommend this place enough. I would stay here again and again and again.

Quick Getaway

Loved the home! Stayed here with my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint!!! The host added such thoughtful touches like mosquito repellent (which I accidentally forgot). We had such an amazing time disconnecting for a couple of days.

A wonderful new and fully modern “cottage” with complete privacy and quiet. Modern, spotless bath and kitchen with modern appliances. Very well equipped. A ten minute drive to Mendocino village with its shops and restaurants. A short drive to all the attractions of the Mendocino-Fort Bragg area. Checking in was smooth and flawless. We would definitely stay here again.

Needed more seating in the living room. We had 3 visitors and someone had to sit on the floor. Tv selections didn’t allow for live t.v. We missed 2 Warriors games. Need trays for eating as there are only 2 stools at the bar. Please relay this message to the owners. In general a nicely appointed cottage.

Perfect Little House

Stayed for a couple nights this summer with my teenage daughter and niece. The girls loved it. Looks just like the pictures. Kitchen was well stocked. Short drive to downtown, beaches and trails. There were no window coverings in the main living space which I thought was weird at first but then we watched the evening light come through the trees. Beautiful. It’s very quiet and peaceful. You have your own little nook on the property with trees all around. Perfect for what we needed to explore Mendocino and Fort Bragg.

Amazing, serene stay surrounded by redwoods! If I didn’t know this house had been rented for over three years, I would have thought we were the very first guests, it was immaculately clean and so well kept. The listing photos were exactly what we found. Four nights weren’t enough. We could easily have stayed a week or more.Tip: Download Google Maps for offline use before you go. Cell service and data are spotty along the coast, not just near this house. The location is the perfect jumping-off point for Avenue of the Giants and exploring the coast both north and south. Mendocino is just 4 miles and less than 10 minutes away. Harvest Market at Mendosa's in Mendocino is well stocked with the essentials for picnics and cooking meals.The bed was comfortable, the linens lovely, and the house had everything we needed. A few spices, condiments, coffee and tea, a few laundry pods, etc. Plenty of hot water for showers, a well-appointed kitchen (even sharp, high-quality knives!), and we cooked all our dinners there. Coffee on the porch each morning, listening to the birds, was magical.Owners were responsive to questions and helpful, without being intrusive.The property has all one needs but has been thoughtfully edited as not to clutter the environment.WiFi was good, though we had no cell service, but that’s part of the charm: complete serenity without distractions. The TV is set up for streaming if you want, but we mostly enjoyed 360° of trees and the peaceful quiet. Highly recommend!
