Summary:
With its pool, Nordic hot tub, and panoramic decks, Calypso brings the best of Waiheke luxury together in one easy, elegant home above Palm Beach.
The Space:
Perched above Palm Beach, Calypso is a spacious, light-filled home designed for relaxed island living. Spread across two levels, it offers generous open-plan areas, multiple lounges, and sweeping views that stretch to the sea.

Two bedrooms sit on this level, one with an ensuite, along with an additional guest toilet.
Downstairs, a second living and dining area provides space to spread out. Three more bedrooms, including another ensuite, and the main bathroom sit on this floor. Doors open to the pool and Nordic hot tub, surrounded by outdoor seating, perfect for long afternoons in the sun or quiet evenings under the stars.
Families are well looked after, with a highchair, cot, baby gate, and baby bath ready for use.

The Neighborhood:
Calypso sits in a convenient, central spot close to some of the islandâs favourite local cafĂ©s, shops, and weekend markets. From here, you can walk or drive easily to everything, with Palm Beach just short 10 minutes walk away via an easy walking track from the garden, and the islandâs main transport routes close by.
Start the day with coffee from Island Coffee Roasters on Belgium Street, a local favourite for perfectly roasted beans and friendly island energy. For something heartier, La Dolce Vita serves great Italian-style breakfasts and long lunches just down the road. If youâre heading toward the beach, Arcadia Restaurant at Palm Beach is an easy option for relaxed seaside dining, their pizzas and sunset drinks are well worth the walk.
On Saturdays, the Ostend Market comes alive from 8 am to 1 pm at Belgium Street, offering fresh produce, island honey, coffee, crafts, and live music. Itâs the perfect start to a weekend morning before exploring the rest of the island.
Nearby vineyards such as Tantalus Estate, Stonyridge, and Wild on Waiheke are only a short drive away for long lunches among the vines, and Oneroa Village is less than ten minutes by car for boutiques, galleries, and dinner by the water.
This part of Waiheke feels local and relaxed â close to beaches, vineyards, and everyday essentials, with just enough distance to keep things quiet and easy
Getting Around:
From Calypsoâs location getting around is smooth and relaxed. The Matiatia passenger ferry terminal is roughly a 10-minute drive, making arrival and departure easy. Once youâre here, the bus network offers simple access across the island. The nearest bus stop (served by routes like 50A/50B) is just a 3-4 minute walk away, meaning you can board at the ferry terminal and ride straight to âOstend Domainâ, then walk the short distance to the house.
Taxis and e-bike hire are also available nearby, and thereâs ample off-street parking on site for multiple vehicles.
Other Things to Note:
Minimum stays: 7 nights between mid December and end of January, 3 nights all holiday weekends, 2 nights at all other times.
