Le Palm Beach Lodge a été construit vers 1991 et était à l’origine un lieu de conférence avec hébergement. Il s'agit d'un complexe de quatre appartements spacieux et très confortables de style méditerranéen, chacun occupant un étage entier du pavillon. L'un est un appartement de 4 chambres et deux sont des appartements de 2 chambres. Le bâtiment est situé à flanc de colline, au centre de la belle ville de Palm Beach, sur la chaleureuse côte nord, et offre une vue sur le "cercle habillé" depuis presque toutes les pièces du bâtiment!

La petite île de barrière est visible à l’horizon, les îles des "Bruits" et "Tiri Tiri Matangi" sont à gauche, l’île de Nani à droite et au premier plan, Palm Beach est invitante avec le son de la mer toujours présent.

Le sentier en zigzag longe le jardin subtropical luxuriant jusqu'à la route en dessous, puis la plage de sable fin - une plage de baignade sécurisée où règnent toutes les marées. La promenade jusqu'au bord de l’eau prend environ trois minutes.

Le Palm Beach Lodge peut être embauché comme lieu de barbecue après le mariage. 60 personnes maximum. S'il vous plaît appliquer.

Some problems

Wonderful situation. Cleanliness level not the highest eg dead insects behind pulled blinds, grime on arms of cane furniture. Oven failed. Screens needed for some windows for mosquitoes were a serious problem. One bedroom door would not shut so had to be locked. See attachment which have gone to the host

Very mixed review

The setting is spectacular and could be wonderful. But the property is very badly in need of renovation and care: Broken/ missing door handles, overflowing and smelly septic tank, blood on the sheets, missing keys, flooding washer, bathroom tap that didn’t work, blind fell down due to improper fitting. Richard and Sharonagh were responsive to our complaints—I think they may just be overwhelmed by all the repairs that should be done.

The property is priced appropriate to it's state. All linen is commercially laundered, compliant with the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4146:2000 Laundry Practice.. All properties on the island operate on a septic tank system which is subject to council oversight. The septic tank is serviced monthly by an external service with over 20 years in operation. The treated water can overflow if under duress, namely if all 5 showers, 3 baths and 2 washing machines are being used at the same time. Please note that no untreated sewage can escape the approved holding system. No system on Waiheke can cope with excessive usage of water as water. We ask guests to be considerate with water usage especially during the summer months as all properties on Waiheke use a water tank to collect rainwater for water supply. The lodge is used extensively and is subject to resulting wear and tear as well as salt erosion due to its proximity to the sea, hence a few recent broken door handles: which have been scheduled for replacement. Blinds do break when mishandled. A plumber was immediately called in to provide any necessary repairs and a new washing machine has been installed. We respond to any concern as soon as notified.

Wedding weekend bliss.

We loved our stay. Richard, our host, was amazing to work with and delightful on meeting him. The spaces are stunning, location sublime and views out of this world. The beds super comfy and everything we needed was there. It is old and tired, with a couple of things needing repair but didn't bother us in the slightest.

Great property for our party of 14. Very well equipped with lots of space to cater for all ages. The views from every room are out of this world. Our only complaint is the switch tripping so whilst using any kitchen appliance we had to turn the heating off. Thank you

Great location and perfect for groups!

Great location to Palm beach and so much room for everyone to have their own space. A little dated with a slight leak coming through the roof on the last day, but overall a great place to stay!

The Palm Beach lodge did not disappoint in terms of the view & facilities. Having 18 people in one location can be full on but not with 3 separate apartments! Sharonagh was so great to deal with :)

Perfect location

Lodge was perfect for our big group of 16 people. Property was clean although slightly dated. Easy walk down to Palm Beach and glorious views. Every room was big, spacious and private and noise doesn't seem to travel which is great. Our only disappointment was the lack of basic necessities - we ran out of toilet paper on the second day and there was only 1 dish washing tablet supplied for our three night stay. Other than that, great stay.

60th Birthday Clebration

With family and friends coming from all over NZ the Lodge was an amazing place to gather at, plenty of space for everyone, excellent kitchen facilities, spectacular views and easy access to the beach front. Richard was wonderful to deal with, very helpful and full of good advise. It was central to all the activities planned. Will return another time, maybe when it is warmer to make the most of the amazing decks and views.

Perfect location lots of space for 16 people great communication

Lots of room to move. Nicely set out in 3 units giving the privacy needed to do your own thing with a group of 16 but able to all join together in the main areas. All facilities were available that you needed for a weekend away. Lovely quiet location with a few minutes to all shops. We had 3 van size vehicles and we all were able to turn around and park on the drive way. Would recommend this property and go again if available. Thank you Richard for a great place our teachers really enjoyed their weekend away

Fantastic place for a very large group, loads of room, we had a barbecue for about 60 people on the top deck, the day after our sons wedding on the Island, great views right over the bay, handy to shops, ferry & restaurants, lovely beach. The only reason i rate it a 4 star, is some of the bed mattresses need to be upgraded, to better quality, no very comfortable.
