Quaint Villa backing onto a golf course with view of water..
The perfect spot for a family getaway or a golfing vacation, close to Myrtle Beach but without the crowds. Located on the 10th hole of a golf course with views of the pond from the screened in and covered sunroom. The Villa is just a short walk to the intracoastal waterway in Calabash. This is where you can see the daily catch being brought in. It is only an 8 minute drive from Sunset Beach voted one of the top 20 beaches in the world according to National Geographic. In the 8 mile radius around the Villa there are 10 golf courses including some of the best in the region.
Convenient, quiet location in Calabash. Great place if you are traveling with a dog. We enjoyed sunset beach and the surrounding area. Would stay here again.
Great location with everything we needed in the home. Quiet neighborhood. Comfortable bed. Close to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. Lots of places to walk our dog. Would definitely stay here again!
The villa is charming, comfy and convenient. Clean and well equipped, it is within walking distance to grocery and drug stores and an easy drive to fresh local seafood. Restaurants are close and Fletcher has left recommendations of his favorites. He made himself readily available to address any concerns or questions.
The geese family that frequented the lake was a lovely addition!
The property was accurately listed. The unit has some age but has been maintained and was extremely clean. It has a lovely sunroom overlooking the small golf course lake. It is a 20 minute drive to Sunset Beach which is my favorite, restaurants in Calabash are wonderful. It is a very convenient location. Best part my dog was allowed to join me and we enjoyed walking the golf course. I would definitely go back.
The villa was as advertised and the neighborhood was fine, being near shops and restaurants and a relatively (due to construction) short drive to the beach. The owner did say in his email that they hoped to update/improve some of the aspects of the residence, and I noted that some of the carpet was worn and stained a bit, and the lighting a bit odd, but that was not awful.
There were some issues with the wifi connection following a power outage/surge one night, but I did not touch the router, although it probably needed to be plugged in again to reset. The wi-fi worked just fine on my devices elsewhere.
I know the owner's aware of the drainage issue by the front door during heavy rains. It drained pretty quickly, but due to some really heavy rainfall, there were times when I had to wade through ankle-deep water to get in/out. I realize that nothing may be done about this issue, but perhaps a note to residents letting them know it can happen would be useful.
Overall, I was happy with the location and it worked out well for this trip.
It was very nice. Great amenities. Well stocked kitchen. Calabash is a nice little town with interesting shops and lots of restaurants. It was nice to sit outside at the end of the day and watch the wildlife. It is off the highway and very quiet & relaxing. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay.
