GORGEOUS updates!

Ahhhhh, Chincoteague Island - the smell of Salt Marsh in the air - the visions of our Wild Ponies wandering through the Refuge. Once you visit our beautiful Island, it stays with you forever. But life is so busy - it's hard to get away for a whole week every year, isn't it? Or maybe you're one who prefers to take many shorter trips over the course of the year - a Weekend Warrior, if you will? If so, the Assateague Inn was made for you. Whether you'd like to visit for 3 nights or 11, we're here to make your time in Paradise as memorable as possible. 


Our Studio Suites have a Private Bedroom with queen size bed, and a separate living room with queen sleeper sofa. There is also a spacious Full Bath, and a Kitchenette fully equipped with cookware and dishes, 2 burner stove top, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster and eating area. Our Studio Suites accommodate up to five guests. Relax in the AC and enjoy Flat Screen Cable TV and Free WiFi after a fun-filled day on the Beach, or slip out to the refreshing Pool to cool off. 

The Inn is located directly on the Creek, and is a great spot for Crabbing, or simply taking in the Herons and Egrets fishing for their morning meals. Located just off of Maddox Boulevard, you're only a short bike or car ride from Mini Golf, Dining, and of course, Assateague National Seashore! When you're not enjoying playing on the waterfront, relax on the huge landscaped greens with plenty of Picnic Tables and Barbecue Stations to cook up the Fresh Catch of the Day.

Nice place

Nice place to stay. Just a hop,skip and jump from the island. The place was clean and looked nice. I would recommend it as a nice place to stay.

Short stay in Chincoteague

Spent two nights here midweek after Labor Day. Location was perfect with easy drive to the wildlife refuge and national seashore, but also walkable to several restaurants. Property was clean and quiet and we would stay here again if we returned to the area.

Enjoyable property. I booked this property because it had a DVD. Seaside Vacations brought us a new DVD player when we didn’t see the DVD. Maintenance could not fix the 2 burner cooking unit in the counter and actually bought a 2 burner electric unit that we could plug in. The key box was a little hard to open but we did manage to open it to get our key. This unit was very convenient to Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge and Assateague National Seashore.

Great location

Well-appointed and comfortable, in a spot that's convenient to all the island offers. Only complaint was that units around us were being renovated and it was noisy. One comment to MGMT fixed that.

Stay at Assateague Inn

Property was clean and in a great location on the island. The GPS did not take us all the way to the end of the road where the inn was, so coming in after dark made it tricky for us to find. We came to go crabbing and the water level is low off the dock in the back so we had to go elsewhere to crab.

Great location

Great location. Nice for 2 people. Clean upon arrival. Only drawback was that there is no sound barriers between units. We heard everything happening in the unit above us. This was a deal breaker and thus we will not be returning.

Lovely place, challenging to find

Lovely place - exactly as described. Small but tidy - perfect for a weekend getaway with my partner. Only issue was I was given the wrong address and couldn’t find the place. Tried calling the after hours phone number and was hung up on. Ultimately just walked into the inn, found the room number, and tried to use the lock box code and was successful. Was stressful but all worked out in the end. Wished I had asked more questions during business hours. Would stay again!

The suite was small. Ok for two people I don’t think 4 people could fit unless they were small children with parents No place to put food. All cupboards taken up. Would have been nice to have a regular fridge very clean dock needs a lot of work many loose boards tripping hazard need to update photos on listing as they are not accurate good location

Very frustrating first 2 hours then a lovely 4 day stay.

We were given an incorrect address. We were not told that the building is named Assateague Inn. We were not given an apartment number but we’re we’re given an accurate number sequence to open the lock box. We arrived at 4:10 PM and called every phone number be could find and left voice messages but no one answered. Finally about 5:30 or 6oclock a very helpful and courteous person answered the after hours phone number which was listed on literature inside the reception room at the Assateague Inn and we were informed of our apartment number. Otherwise our stay was very pleasant. It is in a fabulous location right on a lovely creek but easy walking distance to numerous excellent places to eat and drink. Very close to the entrance to the nature reserve.
