Sandilira is a beautifully appointed guest house with exquisite views of lake Alexandrina in Milang. The perfect place to base your stay and discover the Langhorne Creek wine district, historic Strathalbyn or relax and take in the ambience and serenity of the local area.
Location is fabulous, super peaceful, overlooking the lake, with great breezes. Excellent suggestions given by the host for eating out, plus there were great brekky provisions.
Had such a great stay cute little place and theyâve thought of everything Has all you need and they even provided breakfast, bed was comfy alsoThank you
The breakfast provisions were excellent and proprietor was friendly. The heater was extremely noisy and uncomfortable. As an aged 'beach shack', probably a little overpriced.
We booked in at Sandilira as we were flying in from BNE for a wedding at Lakebreeze. I picked the venue as it looked like it had old-world charm. It did! Iâm so glad we booked in for three nights. The town and cottage are an absolute break from busy society. Russell and Lyn stocked the fridge up more than generously, the swallows had us entertained with their back and forth feeding their young, the cottage was comfy and had warm fluffy dressing gowns waiting for us on a freezing Saturday night after the wedding. The town has a gorgeous history (read all about it in the on-site booklet). The boat sheds down the road were a pretty picture for the photo album, and the locals happy and friendly at the pub at the hotel down the road. What a lovely place to take a break and unwind. Russell and Lyn, thanks for having us
Owners supplied over abundance of breakfast supplies but was greatly appreciated. It had a lovely kitschy feeling but for 4 adults it felt very claustrophobic. One couple from our stay relocated elsewhere due to the second bedroom which was not conducive to 2 people if they needed to get up in the middle of the night as you could not walk around the bed safely. Also felt a bit unsafe due to a large âwidow makerâ branch hanging over that bedroom roof especially on windy/stormy days.
Normally not one to leave reviews but we really enjoyed our stay at Sandilira. The hosts were very accommodating and we really appreciated the little extras and effort they went to. The view of the lake is also great. Would definitely stay here again.
We spent a couple of nights at Sandilira - everything we hadnât thought about + more had been provided for, including the gowns in the bedrooms, which as it was a bit cooler at night, came in handy
Very quiet, very relaxing, a short stroll to the Main Street
We stayed overnight to go to a wedding nearby. The property was comfortable, gorgeous and packed with everything we needed for brekkie in the morning. Will definitely stay again.
We had a lovely short stay. The home had everything we needed in a great, quiet location. The breakfast and bottle of wine was an added bonus! Check in was easy as was communication with the host.
