Cette belle maison de plage unique en son genre est située sur 4 acres avec une plage privée s'étendant sur 1 100 pieds de chaque côté de la jetée de Greenport. Vue à près de 270 degrés sur l'eau. La propriété fait face à la vue spectaculaire de l'île Shelter et de la baie Peconic (à l'est) et du port de Greenport (au sud).

Breakwater Cottage offre une belle pelouse extérieure et une vue panoramique sur l'eau de chaque pièce de la maison qui sont améliorées par les couchers de soleil du soir.

Breakwater a été entièrement rénové en 2006 et dispose d'une cuisine de chef entièrement équipée pour faire de ce paradis de vacances un souvenir inoubliable.

Si vous prévoyez des vacances, une visite d'un vignoble le week-end ou si vous avez besoin d'un endroit spécial pour vous évader, Breakwater est votre destination idéale. Faites un pique-nique sur une plage privée surplombant la baie de Peconic avec votre boisson préférée à la main.

A great weekend in Greenport!

This house was perfect for our group of 12. It was spacious, clean, well equipped and the property is spectacular. Mike was very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. I definitely recommend this house and would stay here again if we come back to the area!

Truly a Gem surrounded by water!

Hosted a bridal weekend for my daughter with some of her friends and mine ( 9 total) and we were blown away by the beautiful property & cool vibe of the house! Every inch of the house had something to be discovered, and there was plenty of space, towels, and “extra” of everything throughout ! Although the weather wasn’t in our favor, we had a memorable weekend at Mike’s lovely vrbo ;)

Perfect property for a relaxing getaway

I recently rented Breakwater with a group of my girlfriends and it was the best decision! It’s hard to believe but, like many other reviewers have stated, the pictures don’t even do this place justice. From the ample sleeping space and beautifully designed common area, to the quiet beach and panoramic views of the water, this house has everything you could want in a rental home. Mike was very easy to work with and answered any questions I had leading up to our stay. I would recommend this property to any of my family or friends and definitely plan on returning!

Serenity Now!

The pictures do not do this slice of heaven justice. The home is bright, airy and well stocked with 180+ degree water views. My girlfriends and I spent a long weekend celebrating our 40's. It was perfect. Very convenient to dining and vinyards but absolutely perfect for relaxing on the impecable grounds beside the water. We will be bavk 100%. Thank you!

The Perfect House!

A group of 11 of us stayed at the house for a bachelorette and it completely exceeded our expectations. The pictures don't do it justice and Mike was an excellent host, he was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. The location is perfect, everything was just a short drive away. The weather didn't cooperate with us, so we didn't get to spend much time outside, but we had more than enough space inside and still got to enjoy the beautiful views with a 360 degree view from the living room. Absolutely no complaints and looking forward to booking again!

A Slice of Heaven!

My husband and I rented this property for a special birthday celebration/vacation with our adult children and grandchildren (3 1/2 and 4 mos.) hoping to have a week of sun and sand on the water in a house that would comfortably accommodate the 8 of us. This home, and it's magnificent setting (with a choice of two adjacent beaches from which to swim!) totally surpassed our wildest imaginings! Mike was wonderful to deal with - quickly available for questions and concerns - and his house is as comfortably laid out/comfortably furnished as any rental we've ever had. The large, open living room/dining room/well equipped kitchen (with a large dining table that could easily accommodate 10) is surrounded by windows that look out onto the yard and the water beyond - a perfect center for our days and nights when we weren't outside enjoying every wonderful nook and cranny the property had to offer. We could all be together, or find a quiet place to read or talk - in the hammock, or at tables and chairs scattered around and tucked away amidst the property. The large, grassy yard was perfect for outdoor family games, blowing bubbles and playing whiffleball with our grandson. And the close proximity of the house to the beach made it easy to come and go many times over the course of the day (even the 3 1/2 year old could follow the path and return home "on his own"). We rented paddle boards for several days from One Love Beach (they deliver and pick up the boards!) and took advantage of the kayaks that are included with the rental as well. This terrific place enabled us all to enjoy an abundance of beauty, relaxation and activities-we-love - It was a magical and memorable week and we can't thank Mike enough for sharing his family's amazing beach retreat with us!

Truly A Paradise!

This house was truly a bachelorette paradise! The location is unparalleled and the views were so beyond stunning we could barely take our eyes off of the breathtaking panorama of the water. There was abundant sleeping space, 3 full bathrooms, and lots of places for us to hang out between the expansive kitchen, totally windowed sitting area, and plenty of outdoor seating. The phenomenal location is just minutes away from any restaurant, bar, or activity in Greenport, and such an easy drive to the North Fork wineries that made the bachelorette component of our stay all too easy. The owner, Mike, was incredibly communicative, laid back, and helpful with anything we needed. I would highly recommend this house for a bachelorette trip or girls' weekend to the wineries, or even a group/family vacation by the water.

The perfect location!

My family stayed at Breakwater Cottage to celebrate my birthday it was such a special weekend! The house was clean, the bedrooms were even more spacious than the photos, and the views were AMAZING from the main living area/open concept kitchen. Without a doubt, location is the best out there! The house has its own private beach and views of both the sunrise and sunset! We enjoyed our days sitting out on the lawn overlooking the water and wildlife. Additionally, Greenport is within walking distance and there are so many vineyards and activities a short drive away. We will definitely be back!

Amazing property

We loved our time at Mike's house. We got really lucky that the weather happened to be perfect which really brought this place to life. The outdoor space is perfect for spending time with a group of friends and family and the living room is completely filled with natural light and water views in all directions when it's a sunny day. The house was very clean and Mike was really easy to work with. There were also lots of games and activities to do there without having to bring our own, We're looking forward to coming back!

My wife and I began coming out to the North Fork of Long Island when we were children. Our families lived in Roslyn LI and always looked forward to our annual visits to the beaches of the town of Southold 'way out near Orient Point'.

Over 10 years ago, my wife and I and our sons began renting homes on the North Fork to be close to our extended family that resides in the area (Greenport, East Marion, and Cutchogue). In 2003, after searching for 4 years, we found and bought the most desirable place on earth, Breakwater (OK, I'm biased but you'll see).

Since then, our summers have been filled with immeasurable joys and lifetime memories. But, for us, the fun doesn't end at Labor Day; we continue to travel (from Westchester, NY) throughout the Fall, Winter, and Spring for grand getaways at Breakwater.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Breakwater is but 5 houses away from my brother's summer home on Beach Road, 2 miles from my sister's home on the Long Island Sound in Greenport, and a 1-mile swim to my wife's family in East Marion.

Aside from close proximity to family, our property (as you can see from the aerial views) sits on a peninsula with 270 degree views of Gardiner's Bay and Greenport Harbor. The location, the land, and the privates beaches of Breakwater are nothing short of stunning.

Our 4 acres of land and beach afford us the opportunity to enjoy several unique sitting areas, each with a fabulous view of the Bay's never ending eye candy.

Close proximity to the beautiful town of Greenport (and all of its shops and restaurants) is another added benefit. You are able to kayak 10-20 minutes across Greenport Harbor into town or you can walk, jog, bike, or drive 2 miles if that's your preference.
