Agréable maison à proximité des pistes cyclables et du Château. Équipement et décoration : ok Terrasse appréciable Attention cependant à l escalier en colimaçon rendant l accès à l étage un peu difficile pour les personnes non altérité Parfait pour les autres

location idéale avec enfants

Nous avons passé un excellent week-end à la Gombaudière : calme, bien situé, pistes cyclables à proximité, gîte propre et meublé avec goût, cuisine pratique. La mezzanine a enchanté la plus jeune de nos filles. C''est un endroit à recommander, nous reviendrons sûrement !

Un petit gîte charmant

Situé dans un corps de ferme ancien, ce petit gîte mitoyen est charmant. Aménagé avec beaucoup de goût, l'endroit est calme et reposant. Coté charme, l'escalier ancien en colimaçon, et la mini mezzanine, petit nid (lit de 1m20) que les enfants adorent ! (attention à l'échelle pour les moins de 7 ans). Les 2 vélos fournis se sont vite révélés indispensables (je suis tombé en panne de voiture en arrivant...) Seul bémol, la télé minuscule avec parfois des problèmes de réseau.

Great area

The bathroom has a fresh paint, a new shower insert, a new washer/drier, a new plastic floating floor installed throughout. But there are many finishing touches to be done. It looked like they stopped renovating to rent it out. There was a lot of dust on the dishes in the cupboard, most likely after renovations. The sliding door lock is still hard to use. The dishwasher wasn't screwed into the counter top so it slid out when we want to open it. There wasn't enough toilet paper (2 rolls for 2 people and 2 weeks) so we had to buy more. The bed slides around at every slightest move and is not very comfortable. The owner unfortunately did not respond to my email outlining these problems. Other than that he responded timely. So these are the reasons for 3 stars rating. Pros: there is enough dishes and condiments, dishwasher and washer detergent, beach chairs, cooler, buggy boards, mask and children fins, noodles. The ocean view is slowly disappearing as the palm trees grow right in front of the lanai. The WiFi is SpectrumSetup-F7 it would be helpful to mention it in check in instructions or change it to a room number because there is many WiFi networks "available" for sign in. All in all we enjoyed our stay and it will be much more enjoyable when all renovations are finished.

Kona Vacation

The location and amenities of the complex were outstanding. The villa was also functional and included everything as advertised. The ocean and pool views were also spot on. The issues that reduced the overall rating of our stay were: - cleanliness and maintenance of the villa. It was fairly obvious that the cleaning company being used has not been doing their job. From the build up of soap scum on the glass shower doors, to duct on ceiling fans and carpets their lack of effort was obvious. From a maintenance standpoint the dryer did not work for our entire stay, the kitchen faucet was very loose, the sliding glass door would not lock and bedroom window slates would not close. Concerning communication with the property company, we contacted them on our 2nd full day that the dryer was not working. After the initial contact, I did not receive a proactive call. All future calls were the result of me contacting them first. While I understand that the dryer was under warranty and required outside service which complicated repair, it was not repaired during our 12 day stay.

This unit does not have a workable lock on the sliding glass door. You can't close the door tight enough to put the pin in the slot. For what they charge in cleaning fees, you would think the owners would clean the carpet. But the beige carpet is covered in dark spots. GROSS!! The rest of the unit was reasonably clean except for some mold in the corners of the shower. I won't be staying here again. They also sent the password for the Internet but didn't say which of the 15 networks it went with. In addition, the property manager said they sent check-in instructions by e-mail. I never got them and recontacted them. Nothing. Did they mean texting rather than sending via email? Poor communications regardless. As part of the instructions, they should have said that parking was assigned - lock for the spot with your unit number on it. It would have been helpful. I had to figure it out on my own. Frustrating check-in all the way round.

Very nice stay. Great location within the property.

We had a great stay at this place. The lanai was perfect for morning coffee and enjoying the sunsets. Well stocked with the things I would not bring to Hawaii such as a cooler and ice pack. Snorkel/beach gear provided as well. The place stayed pretty cool without needing to run the a/c units. Located a short drive to everything in Kona. Parking spot was great too. The only thing I did not like was the mattress. It reminded me of an air mattress in that when one person moves the other person bounces around a lot but we both slept well and woke up ready for the day. Thanks

Great location, just don't forget your earplugs

My husband and I had a really good time staying 4 nights at Alii Villa. The location is great, good distance from the heart of Kailua-Kona town and the ocean view from the lanai. We did struggle to sleep, however, with the big noise of the air conditioning units in the living room and the bedroom, as well as a surprise visit by a roach in the dining area. It was very convenient to have a washer/dryer in the unit, but the washing machine also made a big noise and had some water leak as well. We do not recommend running the machines at night to be mindful of the neighbors. One last note, when we came back from the breakfast 30 min before the check-out time, the electronic lock code was already changed and we were locked out. It was fine, we called the emergency number and the managing company helped us opening with a temporary code right away, but it would have been nice if they waited a little more at least until the check-out time to change the code. That said, the spaciousness and the location were great for the price. We might go back again if the A/C and washer/dryer are updated.

The condo was comfortable with plenty of space. The appliances were working like new. The portable ac units kept the condo comfortable. The only significant issue was a bad ant problem. We were careful not to leave anything out in the kitchen but ants were patrolling the entire condo, mainly in the kitchen.

Big Island Condo

We really enjoyed the location of this condo as it wasn't in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of town yet we could drive or walk into town easily enough. Fully stocked kitchen was fantastic as we mainly cooked at the condo. BBQ area was kept really clean and had fantastic ocean views. Overall a great getaway.

Nice and clean condo

Very nice and clean condo. Well maintained, and included a lot of basic supplies, which were enough for our stay. Great location, close to central Kona. We enjoyed the common facilities a lot (pool, BBQ area, etc.) Definitely one of the nicest condos we rented so far.

A home away from home

An absolute delight! We can't say enough good things about this place! We appreciated the ease of check in after a long day of traveling and to walk into a clean apartment fully stocked with all that we would need throughout our week instantly made us feel at home. The bed was comfy, there was always a kitchen gadget available for whatever we were cooking, the beach gear made for some awesome fun, and the quiet and friendly neighborhood created such a relaxing environment for our mornings and evenings out on the lanai overlooking the ocean. It was hard to leave. We hope we can be back to stay again soon! Thank you for providing the perfect vacation home!

Good stay in a great location

We cooked almost every night and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved that there were already some basic spices that we didn't need to purchase (e.g salt & pepper, steak seasoning, etc.) to have to just throw away at the end of the visit. The value was great for such a nice location and it has a great pool that is 8 ft. deep at a perfect temperature. There are coolers and boogie boards and other items for use outdoors. The property manager was very helpful and kept us informed throughout everything.

Easy place to stay.

Easy place to stay. Friendly people living in complex. Had lots of things available to use for the water. Couch with comfortable to sleep on. The air did not cool the living area off at night, but seemed to work in the bedroom. Could use some new flooring.

Beautiful and Spacious with Unbeatable Price

My boyfriend and I rented this property and could not have been happier. The place was well maintained and had everything we could have needed as short-term renters (coolers, beach chairs, etc.). Management was easy to communicate with and did an amazing job answering all of our questions.

Nice little condo

The condo was nice and clean with a nice view. Unfortunately, there were mornings of construction and tree trimming noise but that's not something that can be predicted. MY only feedback is that the patio furniture on the lanai was uncomfortable - the springs in the chairs so sitting on the lanai was not very enjoyable.

Great location

Location is great, property manager was friendly and responded quickly to any issue. Property could use a few updates and to be thoroughly deep cleaned. The carpet is starting to pull up, the couch has a funky smell and the refrigerator has some mold growing on the gaskets. Nothing that would make me not want to stay at this location again

Loved our condo

The third floor condo had an ocean view not available on the lower floors, and we were glad to see it. Every item you can imagine needing was supplied to us in the condo. We walked into downtown Kailua-Kona, and the condo location was good as a starting point for our travels into the island. Thanks to Dawn Clark for making our stay a great one!
