Fall and winter at La Bella Vie Cottage offers amazing drama and beauty. Spectacular sunsets over our 1/2 mile of private Lake Michigan Association beach are like nothing you've ever seen!

September: We call it the fourth month of summer! Warm sunshine, the beach all to yourselves and the water is still warm enough for a swim! Check out our local Farm Markets! Fresh fruits and veggies available through October.

In October, enjoy spectacular multi-color foliage along our tree-lined roadways. Take a short drive, the color around Stony Lake, Stony Creek and Silver Lake are not to be missed.

October through April experience dramatic skies featuring billowy black-blue-gray clouds drifting over Lake Michigan, big waves & spectacular sunsets over 'the big lake'. Dress warm! The winds off the lake can be chilling! Back at the cabin, have a cup of hot chocolate & a quiet evening gathered around our field stone fire pit, roasting dogs & s'mores.

February & March offer shimmering icebergs, huge 6 foot waves splashing over three foot ice boulders; the beauty of the seascape changes daily! Try snowshoeing or cross country skiing along our meandering roadways.

Visit in March or April for 'The Best' in driftwood gathering along the shoreline of Lake Michigan - gather your treasures before the summer season!

Our 1,400 sq. ft. cottage is located on a private, quiet half acre lot, surrounded by woods, about a 10 minute walk to Lake Michigan beach. There is parking at the beach access.

La Bella Vie is a spacious, furnished 2 bedroom, plus 3rd Bedroom/den, 1 1/2 bath cottage. Our 1/2 bath is a seasonal 1/2 bath in our Bathhouse (winterized October through April). Living room is 20 x 21. Sleeping arrangements, other than the queen bed in the master bedroom, include a double bed in the "Beach' bedroom, and in the 3rd bedroom/den are 2 twin daybeds - one with a trundle underneath. A total of sleeping for 7, all in beds.
The third bedroom/den is accessed by a door off the family room - as seen in photos - there is a vertical blind that can be closed to offer privacy to that room for sleeping. A playpen/crib is also available.

Linens and towels are provided, along with books, games, favorite childhood toys like Lego's, Lincoln logs. We offer beach chairs and an awesome field stone fire pit. Includes: WiFi internet/amazon prime movies.

Our cleaning team spends a total of 5-6 hours thoroughly cleaning La Bella Vie Cottage to prepare for your arrival. *

*Note: Some hosts collect a cleaning fee yet expect their guests to thoroughly clean before they leave!

Wow, expecting guests to clean before they leave? Wherever you decide to say be sure to ask their cleaning policy.

Our cottage has parking for 2 in the driveway, room for 2 additional vehicles in the grassy area - due to the slope, we recommend 4x4's only for this area.

Occasionally, my husband accesses the barn to perform work on vehicles. If you prefer he not use the barn, please, let us know and he will not use it during your stay.

Washer/Dryer may be available upon request - they were removed from our listing because of misuse. They are still on site, used during cottage changeover.

A Signed Rental Agreement is Required. A rental agreement protects guests, as well as owners. Adults signing our Rental Agreement must be 25 years of age or older.
No Parties & no persons outside of your originally contracted group may visit the property during your stay.
Due to allergies, No Smoking & No Pets, no matter how cute.
