Nice place to stay during renovations. Equipped with everything needed, and in lovely neighborhood. Would recommend to others if looking for something in city accessible to nice restos, parks and patisserie.
Very clean. Comfortable beds and sufficient supplies.
Very bare furnishings.
5 minute walk to our family for comfortable surroundings. Would not have wanted to spend long days or evenings in appt simply due to bareness of the surroundings. Could not get tv working.
The property was clean spacious and well located. It was sparsley decorated ( unlike the picture on the website listing )
But this did not affect our stay. The bathrooms and kitchen were well appointed and clean for our stay . Easy check in and easy check out . The
neighbourhood was good for walking and easy access to the Metro and local restaurants and shops.
It would be helpful to let us know what the min expectations were regard ing linens and towels and garbage etc.
Would definitely recommend .
The apartment itself was sparsely furnished but not lacking for it: slept a family of five easily. Easy check in and a quiet building. Parking is a downside - street side, first come first served and have to move every 2 hours without the parking permit. The biggest plus is the location. Great access to local businesses, all within walking distance. Not the fast pace and traffic of downtown and that is a huge selling point. Downtown/Old Montreal/Old Port is only a short drive. We found a new park every time we ventured out. Would recommend
Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Weekend in Montreal
-Furnishing in photos weren't the same as the one in the unit.
-lacking dishes (plates, mugs etc.)
-lacking knifes that cut
-no kitchen towels (bathroom hand towels?)
- lacked seating other than folding chairs(one that was 0
broken)
Great areaâŠaccess to numerous cafes (DAX was our favorite), restaurants, grocery, specialty shops, especially if you donât mind walking a bit. There is a bus stop right on the corner and a Metro station about 3 blocks away.
As noted in previous reviews, parking is an adventure but for a few dollars a day you can ask the host to arrange a parking pass for you. Still, I found a spot at the bottom of the street and never moved.
Sparsely furnishedâŠummm, yes but adequate for two of us. The kitchen had all the basics - except sharp knives. There were a few broken steak knives and a miserable paring knife - bring your own. There was food left in the cupboards and some condiments in the fridgeâŠnot a big deal.
It was generally quiet enough for having windows at sidewalk level - except the first night. It sounded like the folks immediately above us were rolling a bowling ball across their floor for about two hours. Then there was the screaming babyâŠ
Good communication with host, Wi-Fi worked well, the weather was good, and we really enjoyed our time.
Lejlighed er spartansk indrettet. Ikke som pÄ billeder, som mÄske stammer fra ejendomsmÊgler prospekt i forbindelse med kÞb. KÞkkenudstyr til 3-4 personer. Sov rigtig godt i seng i sovevÊrelset. Seng pÄ vÊrelset knirker meget og persienner mangler, men vi brugte en sort affaldspose som lÞsning. Rent og ok, og jeg ville booke lejligheden igen.
The location is perfect with great access to public transportation and shops. The apartment was clean and warm but unfortunately the place is sparsely furnished, very starkly decorated and not as advertised in the photos.
The kitchen was not equipped for self catering which is what we required and the dining table and furniture was not suitable.
One of the beds was unusable as it squeaked at the slightest movement and the pillows and bedding in the second room was old and dirty (we had to get clean linens, quilt and pillows from family to use). There wasnât even a blind on the window of the second bedroom. We had to improvise with black garbage bags.
There was food in the fridge from previous tenants, and the plaster from the ceiling outside the door was falling to the ground. For the cost I was expecting a better standard of comfort, if not for having family in the area to give us what we needed we would have had a very uncomfortable stay.
Great property! Parking is kind of a pain but as long as you plan on traveling all day away from the neighborhood it isnât too bad. Very clean and comfortable!
Overall, satisfied with our stay. The rooms and overall space met our expectations. This is a new listing, so I made assumptions that the listing itself was sparse and a work in progress. The property manager responded promptly to a question about a possible early check in, but then when asked a second question, they never responded (it was about the thermostats that we thought were possibly aircon--a very warm summer week).
The property is a below ground property, with the available windows at street level. Many have bars so they can be opened to allow airflow, but some did not. There was no fan available --we could have brought one from home if we knew.
The kitchen had ample plates, cups, glasses, a toaster, a water kettle that required a good clean out. Coffee supplies were limited to a ceramic pour top, which worked for us as my brother was familiar with it's use.
Location was nice and walkable with nearby bus lines and only a 35-40 minute walk into the city. The outremont metro station is closed (construction) but will make the location great once it opens for ease of getting into the city.
Parking is limited to 2 hour windows without a permit between 8a-10 pm every day--we did a walkabout on our first day and found some paid parking a couple of blocks down on the next street.
So in summary, what would bring this property from good to closer to great for the rental cost would be:
1. Add a simple standing fan for hot nights or bars on all the windows to allow for safer opening.
2. Add a coffee maker or say there is no coffee maker so people could plan accordingly
3. Provide information about parking in the area --it is challenging and in spite of our best attempts, we still ended up with one ticket.
Clean, bright unit in a fantastic neighborhood with lovely caffes frequented by locals. Just what we were looking for. The unit had a full kitchen with a wonderful washer and drier. Weâd expected a pot and pan to for modest cooking and more than 1 coffee cup. The owner said sheâd bring some by, but they never materialized. The wifi was not working for the first 3 days, not sure why, finally had them send a new signal through. Despite asking the owner to look into the wifi problem, she was not able to attend to it until day 3. Hopefully theyâve resolved the issue. The wonderful neighborhood, easy access to the bus and metro made up for the few inconveniences.
We attended a destination wedding in Montreal and stayed in this wonderful apartment.
Pros: Rachel was available for any questions that I had; access instructions were clear and accurate. The apartment is clean, extremely spacious and bright! The location was great! How do you explain that it seemed quiet and out of the way, but right around the corner was everything â cafes, shops, small grocery, etc.
Cons: Stairs to get to the apartment are narrow and steep. It was a little tricky with heavy suitcases. Unfortunately, during our visit the Metro station that is very nearby was closed for construction.
Not necessarily a con depending on your point of view, but the doors to the master bedroom are clear glass â no privacy. It was only my husband and I, so it wasnât a problem.
It was a beautiful apartment, and I would definitely recommend it anyone visiting Montreal.
Our experience in the apartment was really lovely. It was clean and spacious. Access into the apartment was accurate and directions easy to follow. It looked exactly as the pictures on the site. The area of Montreal was fabulous. We loved all the parks and the local shops and cafes.
