Beautiful house close to the Botanical Gardens and right next door to a coffee shop that became our morning routine. Would definitely stay here again!

Cozy stay

My family (including 6 adults and 5 young kids) enjoyed our stay! The owner was easily reachable by message and text if we had questions and they were quick to respond. The house was very clean, cozy, and the neighborhood was quiet. We’re glad we stayed at this house!

Hard to believe it was professionally managed

Most things at the house were fine, but the keyed entry on the front door never worked even after they sent someone out to fix it. Most of the towels were wet, when we went to dry them discovered that the sensor on the dryer wasn't working and we just had to use the timer setting instead. That's the kind of thing I'd expect the person managing the property to be able to figure out.

Enjoyed our stay

The aesthetic look of the property was modern-vintage, and it was very inviting and cozy. You could tell that the owners took very good care of the property. It was very clean. The locality was within walking distance to a little coffee shop, and great burger place, a mini-grocery store, and the botanical gardens.

Lovely stay

We had family from 7mons to 85 yrs old come for a wedding, and this was a great spot for us! Close to Tower Grove Park. Lots of room, nice kitchen, big table to eat together, comfy beds - all we could ask for!

Spring Break Weekend Getaway

The property worked very well for us to stay in with family friends. We were a group of 10 and everyone had a comfortable bed to sleep in. The mattresses and pillows are really nice! We enjoyed the large living room for a movie night and shared meals at the extra large dining room table. The kitchen had the essentials we needed to prep food and serve it for a large group. There was plenty of hot water for everyone's showers. It was beautifully decorated with a unique vintage feel that we will remember for years to come. We had no issues with the check in or check out. The location is perfect for sightseeing. It was just a 12 minute drive to the Arch, the City Museum and Forest Park. The neighborhood was lovely to walk around in at springtime with blooming trees and daffodils. Tower Park was also bursting with color in the spring, and about a 10 minute walk away. Our friends enjoyed the cafe on the corner and told us the coffee was delicious. I would recommend this property to friends traveling to St. Louis!

Excellent beds next door to a coffee shop

For my 40th birthday, I reunited with 4 of my best friends and we stayed in this rental house. It's a great option and these are the things that are great about it: 5 separate bedrooms with two king beds and the beds are actually really cozy! A large soaker tub in the master bathroom gave that little extra luxury we wanted. Located LITERALLY next door to an excellent coffee shop in St Louis. Walkable to Tower Grove Park for a long, peaceful walk or run. It really was a great spot for our reunion with only a couple things that could be improved: The seating in the living room could use change. It's just slightly awkward and grungy. There is very little natural light and only overhead lights in the main living space - some lamps would go a long way! Also, FYI, check in time was 5:00pm, which is later than any other rental I've ever booked. So you'll probably need to find a place to hang out until you can check in. And your host is a property management company.

Perfect Family Weekend Spot

This house was the perfect spot for the weekend with 8 40 cousins/aunts. There are 3 bedrooms on the second floor and all the "younger" cousins (5 of us) were able to sleep on the top floor. I love this neighborhood in Shaw and it's close to great restaurants (there is a wonderful wine bar a few blocks away) and is so close to antique stores and The Hill (for some great Italian food). I live in St. Louis but everyone else traveled into the area, and it is really centrally located close to SO MANY St. Louis gems. The property team did a great job of clearing the sidewalks of snow (although always be aware that STL City doesn't plow side streets). Also, the kitchen is great (although we didn't cook meals, we used the coffee maker, the fridge, and the dishwasher), and the large dining room was perfect for the 8 of us. I'll note that the 3rd floor gets much warmer than the 2nd floor does while sleeping, but that's easy to work around. Overall, we had such a lovely time and it was a great (and safe) location. I love Fiddlehead Fern which is the coffee shop next door, and you are walking distance to Olive Provisions (great spot for wine/cheese), Galley Pub (great spot for live music), and a lovely ice cream shop if it's warm enough (Ices Plain & Fancy).

We had a great stay. Our kids loved the pool. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Close to beach and shops!

Great little house, few issues with minimal impact to stay

Easy and smooth VRBO experience. However a few things you should know prior to booking. There are some bedrooms without air conditioning vents and some that have several so certain rooms will be freezing in an attempt to keep others cool. Lots of little things need attention- Almost every faucet is lose. The overhead light in one bedroom is broken. I alerted the management but they made no attempts to correct or signify that they would address. Couch is a sectional but pieces are not joined so they come apart. Not very comfortable couch either. You cannot use online television unless you sign into google so if you don't have a google account, discuss options with management prior to stay No garage but does have carport off alley- which is necessary as next door neighbors have many cars and they park them in from of the house. It was challenging to find parking. Next door house is very run down. Kitchen is fairly sparse.No storage containers for leftover food. No large bowls for mixing. No extra towels or linens so we had to do laundry during our stay. Pluses: Beds were comfortable. Neighborhood was amazing with lots of options for treats/meals out that were walkable. Lots of toilet paper and paper towels and cleaning supplies available. Overall, a good value, but felt like a "value" property rather than a home.

I stayed in this home in a group and it was a very pleasant stay. The house was very well remodeled and the furniture and appliances were new and everything was decorated nicely. I enjoyed the neighborhood and I would definitely recommend this home to others

1 families weekend away

Two families came together for a long weekend away. 5 adults and 6 children ranging from 2-15. The house had plenty of space, beds and dishes to cover us all. The garage area was great place to safely park our vehicles off the street; fit 2 vans decently. HVAC was not working on second floor but I contacted management and they helped me through troubleshooting and then had maintenance fix it the next day. They were great to communicate and work with when needed. The beds were all comfortable. Washer and dryer were available to guest use. We had plenty of dishes to use for all 11 of us. Good selection of pots/pans for us to be able to cook 3 suppers and 2 breakfasts at the house. The dishwasher worked great and the host supplies the dish detergent. If you plan to wash dishes by hand bring your own sponge/wash cloth and kitchen towels. When we travel we always bring a baggie or assorted sized Ziplocs for left overs, also will be bringing trash bags in the future; just a guest tip for other guests. There is a charcoal grill available for guest use but bring your own charcoal and starting supplies. Broom, mop and vacuum easily accessible to use when needed. With us being 2 bigger families with kids we did some daily pick ups to prevent any large messes. We will definitely recommend this host.

Lovely house, great neighborhood

My group really enjoyed the house and the neighborhood. The home was a good mix of old charm and modern updates. There were very good restaurants and a cute coffee shop all within walking distance. I was there with a group of 9 tennis friends--the hot water kept up with all our showers after returning from matches. The third floor a/c kept us cool and the bedding was clean and comfortable. We had a lovely stay and we would all return in a heartbeat.

Everything we needed

Really cool restored house in a great neighborhood. Awesome coffee shop next door with great pastries and pour over coffee. Convenient location. Only complaint was the stairs felt a bit dangerous- glad we didn’t have any elderly people with us. Otherwise it was perfect.

Wonderful

This home was amazing mixing old world with new. The huge bathtub was AMAZING, I really wanted to play with that fridge that's in the pics but sadly it wasn't the same one in the house. Not a deal breaker but still made me shed a tear (I love kitchen gadgets and appliances). If you believe in spirits, I felt three present in the house, all kind so no worries. Loved this place and the neighborhood with the Christmas lights. If/When I go back to St. Louis I will DEFINITELY try to stay in this house again!!

Wonderful property in charming neighborhood

This is a clean, nice old home in a very charming neighborhood. Great air conditioning, highly responsive and helpful property manager, and plenty of space. Big bonus: it's right next door to the best coffee shop/bakery in town (Fiddlehead Fern Cafe). We really enjoyed our stay at this property and would rent it again.

Family loved it!

The home was very nice, tons of space, and a true St Louis feel with the brick. Owner was great at communicating and asking if we needed anything!
