Stayed at this property for a SLU graduation. Location was perfect for getting to campus and going out for several great meals in various areas. Easy access to everything. The living space and bedrooms are large and comfortable. The mattresses are so comfortable (Vance what kind are they???)!!! Vance is a fantastic host and super responsive! Would stay here again!!
We had the best time! Very spacious house for a multi family trip. The living room/dining area was open and very comfortable. We all hung out here and it was nice to not be on top of each other! The beds were comfy. It was nice and cool inside. Lots of storage for bags. Having two baby beds and a high chair made for an easy packing trip as well The overstock was crazy for cleaning supplies, shampoos conditioners, toilet paper, kitchen spices and soap, trash bags, etc. it was so nice not to have to worry about these things. The host was VERY quick with response and easy to work with. Would book again! Also location is excellent. Literally minutes from everything.
This was a terrific place for our five days in St Louis.
Perfect for a one year old and 85 year old and a number of family members in between. We highly recommend the home. Landlord responded very quickly to any question.
Lovely older hone uniquely redone with plenty of room for everyone & nice open concept foe us all to gather. 1.5 convenient bathrooms on main level & 2 full upstairs. My 95 year old mother really appreciate having a comfy bed on the main level. My goals were plenty of bathrooms & bedrooms then comfy seating for everyone which this certainally accomplished. Quiet neighborhood close to everything. Thank you for a wonderful visit.
It was a beautiful place. We took our youth group for a convention. It was very conveniently located to the Dome. We enjoyed our time and would definitely stay again.
This was a great place for our three generations to be together, explore St. Louis (including restaurants, the zoo, the City Museum and Grantâs Farm) as well as have our own spaces when needed. Owner was very responsive to any issues that came up and addressed them quickly.
We booked this for family who was in town for a graduation. Vance is a wonderful host. The property was clean and perfect for a big group. My elderly father in law loved the first floor accommodations. Plenty of bathrooms. Big comfy living room.
Everyone said the beds were comfortable.
The home was great- we will rent it again! Thank you!
At first concerned about the neighborhood, but after getting in the house we found it perfect!
Found the house perfect for our stay. Clean, open with plenary of room and a small yard to enjoy the day. All attractions were close, providing a great place for our friends to meet, enjoy each other over a couple beverages and get a taste of some great stuff to enjoy in St. Louis. Great responsive host!
I shopped around forever looking for the perfect house for my family to stay during our 5 night vacation in STL. This was as close to perfect as we could get! Great location in historic Fox Parkâwe walked to a fantastic Nicaraguan restaurant the first night. Vance, our host, was prompt with all communication, and I feel like I had more questions than usual working out all the details of my familyâs stay. One thing all the adults in my family commented on several times was how comfy the beds were. My favorite feature had to be the open space living/dining/kitchen area. We had plenty of room to all hang out together on the couches or dining table. I would definitely stay here again!
There was 15 of us, the house was perfect. The Host(Vance) was the best host we have ever had anywhere we stayed. The area the house was at was not the bestâŠ. LOCK YOUR CAR!!!!!
If you have over 2 vehicles parking is minimal. We had 4 vehicles. The host (Vance ) went above and beyond to make sure we had plenty of parking.
The home is beautiful and very spacious enough room for everyone that was in my party the kitchen and dining space were great, Only thing I would recommend is adding a tv's upstairs others would like to watch different shows, 1 TV make it hard when you have a large group, overall I would stay here again very quite neighborhood best house I have rent by far. If I could give it 10 stars I would love it.
We were very appreciative of the ease of communication with the owner. The check-in was flawless. The property was perfect for our family, more than enough sleeping spaces, bathrooms and group space. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and appliances. There were more than adequate cleaning and bathroom supplies, linens of good quality, all very well thought out. The decor was very nice and so glad that the property had been restored. The location was perfect for our activities (Aquarium at Union Station and City Foundry). There was so much more to do in the area but lacked the time. We would definitely recommend this property.
I am a female pulling up to the house and had bags and my pets to unload. Could not park in front of the house due to neighbors consistently working on their multiple vehicles in the front of the house. Very inconvenient and they would work on the vehicles until late at night and would continue first thing in the morning. NOISY! Inconvenient, inconsiderate and compromised safety due to them consistently being able to have quick access to the front of the home. Next the many broken blinds on the homes front door and a window in the top bedroom. Not up to par by far! Especially the front door because people can look RIGHT in. Yes, there is a motion light on both the front and back porch but not enough to notify you while inside the home if someone is at the front door spying. THEN, we could not use the dishwasher at all. Not because it was broken, but because it smelled like dead fish! It smelled so bad it would stink up the back part of the house and we had to air it out and open the back door. It was very disgusting, left us feeling uneasy because of the smell and unsure if any dish had been cleaned. Of course we washed by hand what we used but not sanitary by a long shot. The stick that broke the camel's back was urine in what is considered the "kid's room". Stained the sheets AND mattress pad. Had NOT been washed. A king bed upstairs was also dirty and those had to be washed in order for them to sleep. Plus the floor was dirty. DISAPPOINTED. I need half our money back.
Comfortable large great room for conversations and dining. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms spacious and the house has a good number of bathrooms for a large group. The reasons for the four-star ratings for the description of the property I didn't recall anything in the house description stating that two of the king bedrooms are connected by large pocket doors. Could be an issue for unrelated groups of people. The four star for location is due to the area being in process of upgrading but not all properties have been. The four star for cleanliness was for comments by guests about the floors being gritty though we all removed our shoes at the door. We all agreed we would stay in the location again!
We enjoyed our stay very much in this home. We learned a lot about the historic row homes in the museum under the Arch and it was cool to stay in one. From the outside the home has retained its historical integrity yet when you walk inside you are amazed at how it has been updated. The fireplaces that remain in the various rooms add character. The bathrooms are very nice and the kitchen worked out very well with our family of 8 that was staying there. The beds were comfortable and there was very adequate seating in the living room for watching movies, etc. The back parking pad off the alley fit our two Chrysler Pacificas well although it is tight backing in to the spaces in the narrow alley but that is part of the historical neighborhood. I did give a reduced rating on the neighborhood because there were some concerns at night but we remained safe and our cars were not bothered outside. There were some minor issues that we addressed with Vance when we moved in and he was very quick to remedy them which we appreciated. If you want "old world St Louis" charm, we recommend this large and spacious house.
