Great ocean views

Love this house but think it is overpriced and the agency is not very accommodating. Pay for two nights but very late check in and very early check out plus expectations about cleaning etc. Great location, lovely home although linens were not the best and pillows need to be replaced.

Views Views Views

The house was perfect for a friend's getaway weekend. The views are absolutely some of the best on the Oregon Coast!! The furniture is comfortable and waa perfect for 3 people to read, crochet, and watch tv in all weekend...perfect for wave watching too on the stormy weekend. Kitchen was decently equipped but some items are old and well used. The king bed was super comfy. The queen bed was hard, or maybe extra firm which was uncomfortable for the night but I've also slept on worse. The 2 bathrooms was awesome - though the guest/hall jack'n'jill bath had a strong mildew/rotten egg smell the whole weekend. We didn't call on it because at first we didnt know where it was coming from and thought maybe it was tbe ocean smell or like mop water or something but after closing the bathroom doors for a few hours the smell had left and then the next one of us to open the bathroom realized the smell was contained to the bathroom. We just kept the doors closed the rest of them time (when.not using the toilet) and it didn't bug us. Also having access to the garage was awesome! It was very stormy and chairs and wheelbarrows and stuff was blowing around all night so it was great peace of mind to have my car in the garage. The garage also had a moldy smell but we didnt spend time in tbere other than to park. All in all we loved this place and will definitely stay again! Great for 2 or 3 people. Could maybe do 4 if there being only one sbower wasn't a big deal to you.

Brilliant location, but in need of some TLC

Our second time staying here - first time was a couple years ago (I believe it was it was a relatively new rental then), and time has taken its toll. The good: The waves crashing right outside is awesome. I'll never tire of that view. The living room/kitchen/great room area works well. Last time we were able to park in the garage, a bonus, but this time it had a car in it (I assume the owner's). Not a big deal though. The not-so-good: One of the big picture windows and the master bedroom slider have failed seals so fog up depending on the weather. Also the main bedroom's mattress old such that it's tall in the middle and slopes down to each side. And it shows that it's managed by a commercial company like Meredith - surface cleaning is all that happens, and some deep cleaning is longgg overdue. Wiping up a spill on the kitchen floor revealed the floor is actually a fair bit lighter, and verry dirty. Furniture & other bits are definitely showing a lot of wear from the time as a rental, so could use some refreshing here & there. And a warning - this could be a *very* toasty house if it's warm/hot out. Only the lower living room windows have shades, and during our stay it got over 80 inside in the afternoon, with windows open to let the breeze through, when it only got up to the high 50's outside. But once the sun goes down it does cool down fairly quickly.

Awesome View

Property was very clean and bright. It met our expectations and was a great place to visit with family. The spare bedroom could use a new bed. The water pressure in the kitchen was the a drizzle so washing dishes was difficult. We appreciated the hypo allergic laundry soap. Was a very peaceful place to stay.

Best view ever!

Outstanding location with the best view of the rocky coastline ever! We stayed 3 nights during February when it was cold and stormy and it was a perfect way to experience the ruggedness of the ocean from the comfort of the house with the massive windows. The view is better than the picture can capture. There were 3 of us and I slept on the floor upstairs and had a good view from there. The bedrooms were comfortable. Spiral staircase is steep and narrow but just hold on on the railing as you go. We found everything we needed, extra space heaters, blankets, well stocked kitchen. We would have appreciated a log for each night of our stay but there was only one so bring your own if you want more ir maybe ask ahead of time. “Meredith” texted back when I reported a coffee maker issue and trouble starting the dishwasher so I felt the responsiveness was good. The beach trail begins a few houses down and we always enjoy this easy flat trail for viewing the beautiful shoreline. Would definitely recommend this place!

Excellent Views

Our family found the home bright and cheerful. The kitchen was well supplied, making cooking our meals easy. It was wonderful to watch the waves crash against the rocks and so relaxing.

Amazing view

Wonderful ocean view. The side of the king bed nearest the bathroom sloped so much it was uncomfortable. Also need a handrail in master bathroom as toilet placed so low for us older folks. No Saran Wrap, aluminum foil or containers to save leftovers (I bought some). Low hanging staircase area made it worrisome to bump head into (a red tie or something would help). Difficult entrance from driveway, grass only and narrow path. We’re coming back soon with person in a wheelchair/walker which will be a challenge.

Kelly's Cove Meredith Lodging

This home was perfect. The views from the main living area are incredible. You can step outside and soak up the sights, sounds and smells and you're within easy walking distance to the main part of town right along the shore line. It was very clean and had everything we needed for an amazing stay. Highly recommend!

The view is perfection

It would be difficult to top this view, it is an absolute gem! The house was roomy and had everything we needed for a good stay. The furnishings are outdated and several things need repair/attention, but with a little TLC, Kelly's Cove would be an all-around treasure.

Some important safety issues

Great view. Comfortable. Easy to enjoy. Issues: My friend slipped and fell on slick front steps. This needs to be addressed. Tread needs to be added. May have broken ribs. Stairs to upstairs need treads as two near slip moments occurred. Stairs block front entry partially. Is this up to code? Water leaks behind kitchen sink faucet platform. Upper kitchen cabinet trim ready to fall off. Deadly scratched old non-stick soup pot should be discarded. Otherwise a charming retreat.

Million Dollar Views

This property is the epitome of Ocean Front. You are literally just feet from the sea. Vaulted ceilings with a wall of windows makes this place absolutely magical. We were there for a beautiful storm and woke to the waves carrying giant logs to the shoreline. Mesmerizing and therapeutic to watch. Constructive criticism: The beds were comfortable enough but could improve. Nicer linen’s would help. Even if none of that changed, we would return. Thank you for sharing your cozy cottage with us!
