The kitchen had good appliances, was well stocked with great pots and pans and plenty of dishes, etc.The location was great but is on a very busy highway with considerable noise at night which was the biggest problem for us. The hosts were accessible and very responsive to any questions or issues we had.
It is an Old House. The stairs are super steep and narrow without railing to the top. Challenging with luggage and for senior folks The bathroom upstairs needs some repairs We didnât use the kitchen but appears equipped for any quick meals. Spacious living room. The owners were very responsive and helpful
Good location. Home is in need of repair and updates, water is very high in iron and smells awful. Only one shower - lower level bath is only a tub, AC has only one vent it the upstairs hall - there was only one fan, no ceiling fans - at 92 outside the upstairs bedrooms are warm. Bugs in rooms, silverfish in one bedroom and ants in bath room. Spiders in windows scared our granddaughter. Good communication with manager but won't stay again.
We were excited to stay on a farm, and expected an older home, but we didnât expect mouse dropping on the beds and floors. Guests were asked not to wear shoes, so we ended up walking through contaminated areas in our socks. This was a serious health concern. Mouse droppings can carry diseases like hantavirus, which can become airborne. It felt unsafe and unsanitary. There were also spiders in every room, ants climbing the walls, and bits of grass on the furniture and floor. My daughter heard a mouse running around at night, and none of us slept well. We didnât feel comfortable using the shower, and only out of necessity did we use the restroom. My adult children felt they had to brush their teeth and use the bathroom at Starbucks due to the unsanitary conditions. Which was several miles away since we were in the country. The fridge was covered in a greasy residue, there were stickers stuck to the wall, and toys and coins were found under a table-clear signs the space hadnât been cleaned properly. We left a day early and wouldâve left the first night if we hadnât arrived so late. The Wi-Fi also never worked, despite attempts to fix it. They did refund the second night but not the first.
This property was perfect for our trip to Oktoberfest. Close enough to get in and out of Mt. Angel with no problems far enough away for country quiet and relaxation!
An adorable old farmhouse with lots of vintage charm. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of clean linens. We needed a crockpot and hand mixer to prepare for a family reunion we attended and Sarah had each available for our use. The memories of my grandmaâs house were awakened especially sitting on the old porch swing. I did have to clean the cobwebs off the porch swing, but it was an enjoyable labor so I didnât really mind. I would stay here again if the occasion arose again.
The property is dated and on a busy road but we enjoyed our stay for the weekend we were attending Mt Angel Bach Festival and visiting the Oregon Garden nearby. It would be helpful to have better blinds in the large bedroom for early summer sunrise.
We chose this for access to Smith Creek Village and number of people it would hold. Communication with owners was excellent! Accommodations were comfy and kitchen had all we needed. Thank you so much!
We had a wonderful stay. Was a wonderful house and just what I was looking for. It was super easy to get everywhere we want to go. Thank you for a amazing time.
We were visiting family in the area for Thanksgiving. We chose to stay in the house rather than a motel as the house offered more convenience for meals and group get togethers. We found the house to be everything we expected and wanted. There is a level of rustic charm that is not available in modern houses.
This house is located on a working farm/nursery that specializes in palms and unusual plants for the northwest. The nursery has some gardens to visit and a collection of tropical plants/orchids for sale as well.
