The cabin has everything you could need and was super clean and cozy. Great location right next to the lake. Debbie was great, met us when we checked in and showed us the place. Will certainly stay again.
We have stayed here several times in both the winter and summer, and each time is always a great experience. The cabin is comfortable and clean, and the view of the lake is tremendous!!
We truly enjoyed our weekend getaway! This is an amazing gem and really enjoyable in the off season! The cabin is well laid out and cozy. The kitchen has everything you need and I love to cook! The fireplace is perfect. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset. It is only getting 4 stars because the cabin is in desperate need of deep cleaning. The dust and cobwebs coat the logs on the wall, deer hanging (cobwebs from its nose) and kitchen cabinets need serious attention. We just chose to ignore that as to not dampen the experience. We will definitely be back and recommend this highly. Thank you Ken!!!!
Just what we needed for our Anniversary. Had a great time. Was just like the write up and the great view. Hoping to go back and stay longer next time. Thanks Ken for being so helpful. The cabin was cute and had everything we needed.
Our weekend at the Prattville Cabin was great! The cabin was very clean, cozy, warm, and just a short walk to the Lake. Ken was very helpful with directions and with answered any questions we had promptly. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!
Cute little cabin facing the lake, it had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The pictures matched what was in the cabin. The owners are on site and were available if needed. Thank you again.
We rented the cabin in December, for Christmas holidays. Great looking and cozy cabin, right by the lake. Comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Quiet location in winter time.
Walk to recreational trail. Short drive to Chester to get to national forest to ski.
Owner was very responsive, provided detailed directions to the cabin, made sure everything is working for us.
This property is special because it is located in one of the most unique, well-kept secrets of northern California. It is a place where you can enjoy the outdoors in a crisp, clean-air environment or simply relax and enjoy the views. It is a place we have enjoyed raising our three sons for the past 18 years.
Lake Almanor was constructed by Great Western Power Company in 1914. The name Almanor originated by combining the names of three sisters - Alice, Martha, and Elinor - daughters of Guy C. Earl, Vice-President of Great Western Power Company. The lake now stores 1,308,000 acre feet of crystal clear blue water and is 13 miles long and 6 miles wide.
