First off, this place is great for a romantic getaway. Close to the beach and jetties. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitively go back, and soon!

Perfect Cozy Cottage

This was a fantastic property for our weekend stay in Surfside. Highly recommend for couples and/or families because of the 3 twin beds downstairs.

Surfside

We really enjoyed the property and had a great time. Location was clean and had everything we needed to make the stay very fun and comfortable. Quick access to beach and the restaurants and bars in the area.

Relaxing, clean and well stocked

Pictures and description were accurate. Clear and prompt communication. Property was well stocked, cute decor, close to beach, and exactly what I wanted. Would definitely stay here again.

Such a cute house

Home is adorable and very well stocked. The beds were comfy and cozy, which I'm very picky about. Even the pillows were great. Excellent communication and would definitely go back.

Cozy cottage

My family and I had an awesome week staying at the Calypso Cottage! It was the perfect size for me, my 3 adult children and my fur baby! The location was great, close enough to walk to the beach but not in the middle of the chaotic Saturday traffic. Both Evolve staff and our host, Leasa, were were terrific, quick and kind when responding to questions. Definitely recommend!!

I loved every second of it , only thing that was very off putting and this is nothing on the owners fault, they were amazing, it was the water , it had a yellowish tint to it and smelled like sulphur.... Cough REFINERY F***** UP THE ENVIRONMENT

Perfection in paradise

The bathtub was AMAZING. Rental is close to stores and eating establishments and perfect for a beach roamer like me. Linens were clean and fresh and fit high quality. A well thought out interior concept. If you stay in May, then bring your bug spray. A very happy stay.

Amazing little cottage

Don't let the title confuse you, even though this place is a studio it was quite spacious. We had a total of 5 people staying and not once were we under foot of each other. This place had everything we needed and is such a beautiful home. Also the neighbors were so kind and sweet. We will definitely be back!

Cute cottage

Beautiful and clean little cottage. Just the right size for me and my 3 adult children and dog. Close enough to walk but far enough away stay out to the weekend traffic. Super easy to communicate with host. She was awesome, quick to respond and kind.

Had a great time. The place was incredibly spacious and only a few blocks from the beach. Don’t let that deter you if you want something closer. It was the easiest walk. The place stayed cool the entire time and it was pretty hot outside. Lots of places to sit and sleep. Large kitchen. Great stay!

The pictures do not do justice!

This little house is magical. The shower is like a tropical oasis and the stair case belongs in a story book. The hosts leave an assortment of typically forgotten things that you’re probably going to need, and There is a special water filter in the sink specifically for drinking water; both were soooo appreciated! My husband and I LOVED this place, and there was really plenty of room for at least 5 more people.

Accurate ad - Comfortable stay

My wife and I stayed for the month of September. The fishing was horrible for three weeks due to a first time in years red tide, which also made the air difficult to breath for a week; but the beach was close, the place was just as advertised, and the host was very responsive. They cleaned once and did a good job, but the place could use a deep cleaning. If we were there for a weekend, we wouldn't hardly notice, but over a month you see everything. Under furniture, in the corners, and blowing out of the floor fans, there was a lot of dust and dirt. They also offered to come by and do another cleaning, but we just did it ourselves. All the surfaces were clean, so it wasn't a big deal. They provide all the amenities you need (coffee, shampoo, conditioner, bath salts, etc.) and the kitchen is well stocked. We enjoyed the home and the neighbors were nice. Kevin next door is a charter captain with two 30' fishing boats (surfside beach charters), so take advantage of that! Also, he and his wife are a really nice couple. It's 4 blocks to the beach, but there's no traffic and we never minded the walk. I recommend you stay away during holidays unless you love crowds. We arrived Labor Day weekend and the beach was a zoo, with cars and tents side by side as far as you can see. But, as soon as the weekend was over, the beach was pleasant and walkable. There are several restaurants and bars walking distance, and drives to Galveston were also pleasant.

Lovely property

I came to Surfside for a solo beach getaway, and Calypso Cottage was absolutely perfect. The pictures speak a thousand words: It looks exactly as shown and is as described. It is clear the owner takes great pride in the property and home, and I really enjoyed the unique touches throughout the home. I can't wait to come back!

Quiet, peaceful escape for sea & sand therapy.

My daughter & I escaped work & school for a 4 day break and picked the perfect property! This gem is close enough to hear and feel the ocean breeze from its porch and only a short walk to reach the beach for the day. It has (almost) all of the comforts of home. [I had hoped for a vacuum over the broom for sand.lol] The property owners have a few beach chairs & sand toys for you. The interior was adorable. The bathroom was better than listed, with the tub & shower room and "changing"closet as my daughter termed it. The kitchen was stocked with any dish, pan or utensil I needed & a few spices are already there. My daughter was even able to bake me birthday cookies. We tremendously enjoyed the property & would rent again.

We had a wonderful stay here! The place was so cute, clean, and has very thoughtful touches! I would highly recommend. The bathroom (bath tub and shower) were amazing. However, there isn’t a proper door to the bathroom area (include the toilet) so I will just take that into consideration, depending how how comfortable you are with your guests. All in all though, loved our stay!
