Bienvenue Ă  Sunset Bay! Nous voulons que notre belle maison confortable se sente bienvenue et, surtout, se sent comme une «maison loin de chez soi». Nous accueillons une famille ou des familles de 10 ou moins. Nous avons une belle vue sur la baie et Ă  3 minutes Ă  pied de la plage privĂ©e propre, l'accĂšs au vĂ©hicule avec 2 minutes en voiture. Nous avons des restaurants incroyables, des dĂ©panneurs et des divertissements locatifs en quelques minutes. CafetiĂšre pour le cafĂ© du matin fraĂźchement prĂ©parĂ©. Chaque chambre dispose d'une tĂ©lĂ©vision avec lecteur DVD, lecteur Blue-ray, DirectTv, et WiFi INTERNET maintenant inclus !!!. EntiĂšrement meublĂ© avec 2 lits queen et plusieurs lits pour accueillir tout le monde confortablement. Maison comprend nouvelle laveuse et sĂ©cheuse et douche extĂ©rieure pour rincer le sable et le sel :) Les animaux domestiques sont acceptĂ©s sous 40 lbs. Meubles de patio extĂ©rieur, piscine gonflable pour enfants avec pompe Ă©lectrique, nouveau gril (avec rĂ©servoir de propane inclus), et entiĂšrement clos avec une clĂŽture pour que les enfants puissent en profiter! Grande pĂȘche sur la plage ou sur les multiples baies magnifiques. Sargen (baie de Matagorda Est - excellente pĂȘche)) Ă  30 minutes, Galveston Ă©galement Ă  seulement 30 minutes. (reg. # 10042)

House was as described EXCEPT location. Was specifically looking for a house to the right of the light and on the beach side of the highway. The house was neither. It was a few miles down and on the bay side of the highway.

Gulf tastic!

Was easy to access and talking with the owner was simplistic! Walmart and anything you could possibly need is only 20 minutes away. They are correct when they say you need to bring your own water. Plenty of beds and room. We went to Yucca beach (15 per day to park) and also the free beach thats a couple of miles down the road. I recommend the free beach the beaches are the same and well its free, lol.At the beaches we saw crabs, baby sharks, hermit crabs, fish, and jellyfish.We will stay again.

Such a cute house

We loved our stay there but the only thing I was disappointed about was in the picture it looks like you can see the beach from the house. The house was just big enough for our family. The owner allowed me to check in early. She was very accommodating

Cute property, close proximity to the beach.

This property was really cute and a perfect fit for a weekend girls’ trip. A few tips: 1) Bring plastic ware - there is some silverware but not full sets for multiple people. 2) The photos show a bridge to the beach - note that this is across the street and to the left - we mistakenly thought it was right by the property. However, even across and over, it still took less than 4 minutes to get to a quiet part of the beach. 3) If you’ve never been to Surfside, just a heads up that the water is not great. It smells and I’ve never tasted it, but don’t think I would recommend trying. Bring bottled water! Also, this house tended to have some air in the pipes so the water would spout off-color on the various faucets when first turned on — this is not odd in the Surfside area so it’s not a “negative” as it happens at other places too (I’ve stayed in a number of different rentals in the area). It only took a few seconds to clear up, but I recommend not putting a your hands under the faucet or jumping in the shower until you’ve seen the water. Overall a great stay - would stay here again.

GREAT GET AWAY; VERY PLEASED

We have no complaints, it was a beautiful, new, very clean, comfortable home. Room for my family of 8 including grown children and grandkids. Plenty of room for us all. Nice deck and downstairs to relax and spend family time. The house is not on the beach side of the highway so we had to walk quite a distance across the highway with our grankids to the beach access. Though it sits center in a neighborhood, we felt that privacy was adequate and enjoyed the fenced in yard and privacy gate downstairs.

We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed with some items that were not available, like towels. Also, some of the furniture chair arm was broken, the door to the bottom sink cabnet was loose, and the dryer didn't work. Some of the pots and pans were unusable.

Beautiful house, poor location description

The house is beautiful and spacious and clean other that some of the dishes.The house is located across from the beach, but you cannot see the beach. The beach is several roads down and about a 10 minute walk. The bay is beside the unit, but is not accessible. The house is beautiful, but the dryer and the dishwasher did not work.

Overall our stay was great! Had everything we needed and the kids loved the house! Plenty of room. Our only complaint was the downstairs bed being fairly uncomfortable. Sunk in on both sides from extensive use, pretty hard, and small for 2 people. Also, the listing portrayed the house as being located on the beach, but it was across the road on the bay side. So if you want a "walk out onto the beach" house; this isn't that. Its a short walk across though. But it was still lovely and we enjoyed our stay so much we booked an extra day.

Surfside stay

The property was pretty well maintained and looked very clean but none of the bed linens upstairs were clean. We found make-up and hair on them. The vacuum cleaner did not work. We were disappointed that we couldn’t walk out to the beach as we had at our other rentals but that was my fault. The cutlery was a motley assortment and there was no can opener, but that could have been the fault of previous tenants. We had fun and made good memories there.

Great place to relax

We love the real beach vibe. Surfside is it. You can drive out on the city beach in a 1/2 mile or the county beach in a mile or you can walk across the road and 300 yards and be on the beach from this house. We prefer the county beach because we drive right up to our spot and just unload everything. We parked our truck under the house inside the gate and let our dog run in the yard. Our daughters had there own room to chill in. We hardly ever seen them unless we were on the beach. House cleaning did a great job just was a little late to get there so we could get in. We didn’t mind getting the towels out of the dryer to get in on time. Everything was there plus water toys, canopy, and plenty of propane for the grill. We always make a HEB run for there pre-made dinners and the fridge worked great. I read a lot of reviews on this place most were good some were complainers, if you want a 5 star somebody to wait on you hotel go somewhere else. This is a family very nice and modern 5 star house that’s been used. That’s not us we loved it. It was great.

I grew up in Freeport and graduated from Brazosport high school in 2000, I attended Sam Houston and graduated with a bachelors in Criminal Justice, I always wanted to help people, that was and still is a passion of mine, unfortunately I wasn't able to pursue much of a career with in the criminal justice field. I did however pursue a career with in the oil and gas industry, which is how I met my Husband. He is a petroleum engineer and a UT graduate. We have two kids now and life as parents is definitely a challenge, and it can be overwhelming at times. Since I'm a beach girl, I convinced my husband to buy a beach house for our sanity! We couldn't find the one house that felt like home, until we walked into our little beach/bay house. We instantly knew that this house would become our little vacation home. Since our lives and jobs are located in Houston, our main home remains there, we live in Spring now, but having a vacation home for our growing family is definitely a blessing for us. Since this place has already brought us so many happy memories, we would like to share our home with other families so they can also have the opportunity to create happy memories themselves. :)
