Enjoy the privacy and serenity of the Forest Retreat guest suite perched on the edge of Thetis Lake Park on southern Vancouver Island. Just a 20 minute drive from Victoria and a 5 minute walk to the lakeshore, this is a tranquil home base close to all amenities. We are located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Langford 10 minutes from Bear Mountain Golf Resort and 12 minutes from Royal Roads University. This is a perfect place for a couples escape, outdoor enthusiasts, or a small family getaway.

A bright, spacious and completely self- contained private one bedroom garden level suite with your own parking spot, keypad entrance, sunroom, patio and sunny garden with a fully fenced yard surrounded by Arbutus trees and forest. This is a bird watchers paradise where you will enjoy daily visits from quails, hummingbirds and 50 other species of birds. It is furnished with style and equipped with everything you will need and many unexpected touches.

The suite is best suited for one couple or a small family with up to 2 children or 3 adults.

We offer a single memory foam sleeping cot, a 4" single memory foam floor bed, a toddler mattress, pack 'n play, booster seat, change pad, books, games and toys as well as children's tableware.

The secluded and private backyard garden has a stunning and unique elevated forest view. The private patio is a tranquil oasis where you can listen to songbirds and watch hummingbirds while you have your morning coffee in the sunshine. Just sit back, relax and take it all in.

In the summer, this little slice of heaven provides a cool and shady place to sit on those hot and sunny afternoons and evenings. From the comfort of luxurious high back furniture, enjoy the zen garden with a bubbling fountain overlooking the forest of Thetis Lake park.

​In the shade of the beautiful towering Arbutus Trees, lounge in the hammock and read a book or take a nap. Forest Retreat is a beautiful place to relax and reconnect with nature.

The kitchen has an apartment size fridge, freezer and stove, microwave, and Keurig, plus all the essentials and more for your stay. It has a large kitchen island with seating as well as a dining table and chairs with seating for four.

Gaze out at the beautiful Arbutus and forest beyond from the bright, spacious bedroom on a luxurious Comfort Tech Serene Memory Foam queen size bed fitted with silky soft luxury cotton linens. Then draw the black-out blinds for the best sleep of your life.

For your convenience there is a dresser and closet with plenty of space to hang clothes and store luggage. The living room is a bright, comfortable place to relax and has an infrared fireplace, smart tv with Netflix, Prime TV, Disney plus as well as many other apps.

You have your very own in-suite washer and dryer as well as an adjacent full size bathroom with a tub and shower.

You will have access to our two person Solarus Infrared Sauna during your stay, a relaxing and healthy way to start or end your day.

Guest access
The back of the property is very private from our living area and all yours to enjoy though you may see us from time to time gardening and playing in the front in passing and hear us on our deck above yours during the warmer months.

Other things to note
This is a family home, we live upstairs with our 7 year old daughter and 13 year old friendly black Lab, Guinness. There will be sound transfer from upstairs to down and you may be greeted in the yard by Guinness during your stay. While we are child-friendly accommodation, the suite is not "child-proof" so we don't have covers on plugs, child locks on cupboards or furniture secured to the walls.
