Sunset Captiva 10 - Private home just steps to the beach

Sunset Captiva 10 ~ A completely updated two bedroom/two and one half bathroom stilted private home within the Sunset Captiva community. Our community has great amenities including an expansive heated pool, bbq grills, tennis court and even boat dockage across the street on the bayside (inquire with office). Our home has been completely updated with a full kitchen that has everything you'll need to prepare meals for your entire family during your stay. Spacious living room, screened lanai with comfortable seating and a half bathroom on the main level. Upstairs is the master bedroom suite with en-suite bathroom and king sized bed. There's a guest bedroom featuring a queen bed and also an en-suite bathroom. There's an open deck off both bedrooms to lounge. A great feature upstairs is on the landing area is a custom bunk bed for the kids. As our location is superb, you are in the heart of the Captiva Village area allowing you to park your car at the home and walk to the beach, pool, shops and restaurants. Make it even easier by renting a golf cart from a local vendor. We'll look forward to welcoming you to Sunset Captiva 10 on your next visit to Captiva Island!

The dock for Sunset Captiva is currently available dusk to dawn as electric has not yet been established. Contact office for docking information

The house had some new amenities but overall was in need of repair. The screened porch is in very poor condition. The furniture in the living room is very uncomfortable

Beach and zen

Our family had a lovely stay in this unit! It was clean and great location to the beach and Andy Rosse Lane. The beach equipment drop off & pick up was also awesome. Just be sure to bring the basics for cooking like salt & pepper, etc. All of the other cooking tools are there. The coffeemaker had a pot and a pod function which was nice. We would love to come back to this unit!

Fantastic property and location!

We cannot say enough good things about our stay at this property. The house looks to be recently renovated and had tons of charm. There’s plenty of room to sleep four adults and two kids. And the location was amazing as we could walk steps to the community pool and beach as well as all the restaurants and shops. We will definitely be returning again!

Great house with perfect location to beach!

Everything was as described and clean. Great location! The house did have 3 bikes which was a nice surprise as we were told there were none.

Sunset Captiva 10

Property was just as advertised. Location in Captiva is fabulous. Kitchen was well stocked. Beach chairs and umbrella were great for the beach. Common area barbecue grills are cleaned routinely and ready for barbecuing. Common area pool and paths were all wonderfully maintained Overall a great stay. Even if you can stay here, the Sunset Captiva neighborhood is the perfect location to stay when in Captiva

Home away from home

Well appointed and comfortable home. Great decor. Aside from a few rooms having a bit more sand on floors than one might expect, the house was very clean any tidy. Had everything we needed for an easy, fun and relaxing vacation. Location is top notch. Only recommendation is either to provide each guest one additional beach towel or recommend that guest bring additional to avoid the need to do laundry as frequently.

Great house with great location

The house is exactly as described. Very clean and well maintained. We used the bikes often even though everything is a short walk away. We played tennis or pickle ball everyday. The pool was nice and comforting as well. Only downside to the pool is it is closed after dusk. There is a walking path to the beach steps from the house. All in all, it was a great place to stay. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Sunset Captiva is the BEST!!!

My family has stayed in Sunset Captiva many, many times over the years and we love it! The location is perfect as it is near everything you want or need to do. Sunset Captiva #10 is a beautiful home, updated and clean! We would have loved to know in advance that they had such a wonderful supply of beach towels as this was definitely a plus. We wouldn't have bothered to bring our own beach towels. We highly recommend #10! =)

Very good place is great location

The unit is very nice, with a nearly perfect location. It's about a 30-second walk to the path that leads to the beach. The interior is clean and modern (though there's some form over function here - i.e. have fun turning on the bathroom lights at night when they're on the wrong wall). Beds are fairly comfortable. Etc. If able to give half stars, I'd give it 4.5 stars. Since we can't, I went with 5 stars because it is a nice house in a great location. I wouldn't hesitate to book it again. Here are the negatives (none of which are huge problems): *Hopefully the owner cleans/renovates the screened porch as it is dirty and in bad condition with random furniture. That's a bummer, but not the worst thing in the world. We stayed in another of their units in a previous stay and that screened porch was fantastic. This one - not so much. Also, they need more towels. It's listed for 6 people, but they don't even have 6 (beach) towels. The quantity of bath towels is also low. Prepare to do a lot of laundry.

In terms of towels, we provide 4 of each size towel in each bathroom as well as beach towels for the number of guests in the party. Wonderful property

Location, location, location. This house has such great proximity to the beach, pool, and restaurants. Mere steps to the beach and pool. We parked the car for the week and walked or rode bikes everywhere we went. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you would need. The additional bikes, beach toys and beach chairs were appreciated. We loved our stay in your home and hope you visit again in the future!
