4 Bedroom, 2 bath historic home within walking distance to Corporation Beach in Dennis. Updated kitchen with center eat-up island, separate dining room, living room with large screen TV, couch and multiple chairs, family room for overflow with more seating. This antique house has Captains stairs (challenging for mobility impaired) and two first floor bedrooms; very spacious yard and deck for barbecuing and morning coffee.

Walk to Cape Cinema, Play House and Cape Cod Art Museum.

PLEASE NOTE: Once your reservation is made a lease will be emailed to you from Foran Realty. You must sign your lease within 48 hours of receipt. If you do not receive the email please contact Foran Realty immediately. Please note our cancellation policy spelled out in the lease. Short stay on the Cape

Had a great time staying in a well appointed historic home. Walk to the beach every morning.

Cottage in disrepair

Neglected property with many hazards such as broken stairs, unfinished closets with electrical wires and insulation gutted out with no where to hang clothes. Open areas in ceiling with wires and insulation hanging exposed. Weeds growing up through deck and broken up pieces of lattice work resting on weeds and propane tanks. I have numerous pictures of this house/dump if you would like to see them. I may repost them for other people to see so they don't ruin their vacation the way we did. The house has many hazards things going on.

Misleading Descriptions

The Good: The house was very clean and had a large living area, great Kitchen, nice laundry and is a short car drive to the beach (not a Walk) House has everything you need, plus lots of beach chairs but no Beach Wagon The Bad The upstairs living area and Bath is Not AC and un-liveable in daytime. Hot musty redone attic space/smells on hot day - the 2 BR up there have AC, but not enough to cover the living area or bath The down 2 BR have AC and the living room - BUT the Kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and front sitting have NO AC! The Listing and conversations with Agent and owner emails were lies about the adequacy of AC plus renter needs to empty a dehumidifier 2x a day that trys to make up for lack of AC - but it is not enough! The Main bath downstairs has NO lock and No working door handle - it's a pain if you have others that need the toilet and there is a dangerous rusting SHARP metal plate inches from the toilet seat that needs to be addressed ASAP else someone will cut themselves The Ugly The Stairs to climb to go to 2nd level to other Bath and 2 Bedrooms take physical strength and coordination ! Not for bad knees or backs or ankles to climb up! The beach is NOT walking distance - short drive which is short yet you will NEVER be able to walk with chairs and a cooler from the house to the beach without resting many times - it's not that close Face it owners- it's not Yard weeds were mowed BUT there are huge weeds growing up thru the deck stairs and railing

Big problem with Foran Realty!

The house was fine but Foran Realty did not do their job! I told them that we would arrive after 5pm & they assured me that they would leave the key to the property at the realty office. We arrived at midnight & there was no key! We went to the house to see if the key was there and the front & back doors were unlocked! Fortunately, the place was neat & no one was inside waiting for us. Such a dangerous situation! I emailed, texted & called the realty office about the problem. They also did not leave us the linens we rented. They apologized for the "mishap"! The linen rental charge was refunded & the application fee was refunded. I don't feel that Foran Realty gave an honest & heartfelt apology & feel that they could have done more to compensate us for the problem they caused.

Great location for a beach vacation

We stayed for almost a week at this house with 2 adults and 2 kids. While the house technically sleeps more, it's really important to note that only 1 room with a twin bed has air conditioning in it. In order to get any air conditioning, you have to sleep with the bedroom doors open and even with that, the upstairs rooms were unusable given the heat (and the old house spookiness according to our kids). Aside from that, we loved the sunroom, the kitchen, laundry room, deck, outdoor shower, and the big backyard. The proximity to Corporation Beach was really nice, but we mostly leveraged Mayflower Beach by dropping off there and then having 1 adult bike there after leaving the car at the house. You really can't beat Mayflower Beach! We've rented quite a few houses, so a few things that would be helpful to know in advance are that the kitchen does not come stocked with paper towels, a clean sponge, or dish detergent; the bedsheets are not provided, but there are plenty of pillows and blankets in the house; there are some dish towels and bath towels provided in the house; and the expectations at checkout go beyond the usual start the laundry and the dishwasher. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again and recommend it!

Great location!!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in Dennis at this property! It was the first time we have gone to the beach everyday during our week down the cape- it was just that easy to walk from the house!!! Upon arrival to the house We had to pick up the keys at the property managers office prior to arrival and drop them off upon departure, which was located close to the property. The house was VERY clean and I love that it was stocked with all the kitchen essentials ( paper towels, new sponge, soap, trash bags, full kitchen cooking needs,etc). The house is an old house with cape charm, so some of the floor thresholds were uneven, making it not ideal for our one year old daughter. Otherwise this house is spacious and great for a family getaway to the beach!
