A fantastic stay in a beautiful location. The view from the Villa is second to none..just fantastic. A quick cable car ride to get up to all the restaurants and bars, and the beach area at the property is sweet! Thank you for a great stay. Also walking distance to everything.
We found this apartment to be just as we expected. The pool was still open and it was well enjoyed by our group. We were a group of 5 senior but active gents on a reunion trip and we all loved our stay at Condominio Il Suk. We all agreed weâd be thrilled to return at some point in the future. It served us well! Very pleased.
Loved staying at this location. A bit dated but lovely.
However, be ready to figure out how to get groceries, toilet paper and such because it is not close to shopping. There are a few small markets that you can walk to within a mile, but to get to the grocery store you will need to drive/bus or cab. And driving is very difficult in town: extremely narrow roads and difficult parking. But the apartment is lovely and the pool was wonderful, as was the sea access below.
A great location that could use a bit of updating.
Absolutely incredible location on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. Overall, the listing is accurate with a decently equipped if smallish kitchen. Some of the items in the kitchen could stand to be updated, such as the espresso maker.
The sofa in the living room, while stylish, is wildly uncomfortable. 100% foam and extremely low to the ground from a seating standpoint.
Mattresses could also stand to be updated, though they were more comfortable than we expected on first inspection.
All said, though, you're gonna to spend 90% of your time at this property on the patio, which is absolutely glorious.
As we arrived following a long drive from Palermo any stress instantly disappeared. We were greeted by the building manager Antonella and guided into our reserved place in possibly the worlds most scenic car park.
Antonella took us down to the villa cut into the cliff with a wonderful garden area and yet more amazing views. Then onto the gravity defying wet edge pool and down through the cliff face to the rock beach next to the grotto where daily you felt like royalty in your own exclusive enclave.
At night weâd take the cable car up to Taormina and explore the wonderful town, laneways, bars and restaurants.
Words and pictures canât do justice to Villa suk. We visited in early June, the weather was great and we pretty much had the place to ourselves.
Thanks to Antonella and Cristiano for being on hand if we needed them. A wonderful holiday.
Fantastic place, absolutely stunning! Villa Suk is one of the most beautiful resorts I have ever been for my holidays. The location is
incredible: it is hard to believe that there are places like that in the world! You go down in the heart of a cliff and inside you find that beautiful apartment, facing the bay of Isola Bella: the most breathtaking view! The garden, which in fact is a balcony on the blue Sicilian Sea, is fantastic for sun-bathing during the day and nice dinners with friends at night. Everything in Villa Suk, the furniture, the perfume of the sea and of the orange tree, the light evening breeze, make the atmosphere so relaxing, that once you are there you do not want to go anywhere else. Villa Suk is the ideal place to escape and forget the every-day life. Taormina then, is a tiny jewel and is at a walking distance from the Villa: perfect to enjoy the Mediterranean night life!
Stunning views from terrace and 1st floor balconies
We loved our week in Villa Suk and the terrace and its views were a treat to come back to after our excursions. The hostâs info pack is very helpful and comprehensive. The walk to the local shops and cable car/bus to Taormina is busy, as other reviewers say, but is perfectly do-able and you are not bothered by traffic noise at the villa. Itâs great to have a dedicated parking space in the large carpark at the villa. The kitchen is small and basic as can be seen from the photos on the listing which are very accurate.. The bedrooms are a good size and comfortable. The bathroom on the 2nd floor (up some exterior steps accessed from the 1st floor landing) seems new and very good and the main bathroom fie the two main bedrooms is spacious but with a smaller shower cubicle. Our friends felt that more luxurious towels would have been nice.
The title is Villa Suk but it is actually a condo with a patio. The view is spectacular from the patio and two out of three bedrooms as the third bedroom looks out to a wall. The kitchen is terrible even the coffee machine which is so ancient you feel lucky after a couple of tries to get a coffee. No amenities so we had to go to the store to get essentials ie dish soap etc. All is all the place does not reflect what is shown on the photos except the view. Cleanliness was below average especially in the bathroom. As it is a condo you have very close neighbors to the left and right. The first evening was awful as our neighbors were drunk and extreme loud. Thank goodness they left the next day and as the complex was empty we had quiet.
This villa is a condo in a complex of about 20 or so units. The view from our balcony was just as you see in the photos and by far the most beautiful view in all of Isola Bella. All of the hotels and other locations have obstructed views but here you are literally hanging over the cliff. Straight down in the elevator is the private rock deck swimming area that was just amazing. There are chairs available for sunning and during the week we were pretty much the only ones there. We also used the two of the other public beaches, renting chairs and umbrellas but concluded our swimming area was much better. The complex pool was also just as it appears. It is a no edge pool with that gorgeous view. The actual condo was 3 stories. The living space and kitchen was the ground floor. We had 6 people and the couch could fit us all comfortably. The second floor had two bedrooms and a bathroom. The balconies for these two rooms have that amazing view. The third bedroom was outside and a flight of stairs up. It was just a bedroom and bathroom, not much light but perfect for sleeping. The house also had AC. We were about a 15 minute walk to the center of town where there were restaurants and markets. The tram up to Taormina was 15 minute walk. Taormina was fabulous. Just a beautiful town with shops and restaurants and a lot of night life. The information that Dr. Basile sends out prior was very helpful and very informative. He was so helpful and responsive with any questions I had. I would highly recommend this home.
We had a marvelous stay in this truly stunning condo. Unparalleled views from two of the three bedrooms, the main living area, two decks and the back yard. The decor is unique, classy and functional. The facility itself is also remarkable w a beautiful (but not heated) ocean fed infinity pool and an elevator down to a rock overlook of the ocean. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.
The location was amazing- stunning views of Isola Bella from the terrace - one of the best views we have ever had. Lovely pool and the beach area was excellent with loungers and access to the sea. Several good restaurants within walking distance.
Nicely set out, good for 4 people. The back terrace overlooking the sea is its best feature. The apartment complex is well looked after with a great communal pool.
Wonderfully idiosyncratic property . We loved it. Everything we needed was there. The garden overlooking the sea was charming, cool under the beautiful olive tree. So delightful to watch the little geckos.
Everyone we encountered from Dr Basile himself to all the Sicilian people, those involved with the villa and those we met were pleasant , gentle and helpful. Rosetta was a delight and so helpful.
For us it was a special week. We were there to celebrate the part my husband, my daughters father had played in our lives. He died in January this year.
It was the perfect place to do that.
Thank you.

Toller Blick zur Isola Bella
Blick, Lage, Wohnung, Betreuung durch Besitzer, ... war alles wunderbar. Vielen Dank!
An amazing place on the rocks high above the sea. Balcony and rooms with breathtaking view..
Steps or an elevator take you down to the sea, where you can swim between the rocks and caves and snorkel and enjoy looking at the fish. However, jellyfish sometimes prevent you from going into the water. In that case you can enjoy an outside semi-circular pool that is stuck to the rocks high above the sea. The patio is lovely and shaded with a few trees with a breathtaking view, also from the rooms on the upper floor. The apartment and kitchen is well-equipped with a washing machine on the inner-side room, opposite the corridor. The kitchen has all you need, but it would be nice if the host would leave a little of the basic needs, for example salt or dishwasher soap. We left a complete package for the next one to enjoy.
The beds and showers are comfortable and the apartment is basically clean but might need some small maintenance like fixing a dripping A/C on the inner room, stoppers for the wooden shutters that slam in the wind, fixing a few tiles on the patio, fixing fly screens, etc. But this in no way diminished from us having an amazing stay.
What is worth mentioning is that it is great to have your own parking spot. The Isolabella area is so narrow and stuck to the cliffs that you will not find a parking spot outside at all. We walked every morning along the narrow road to have a coffee or take the cable way to Taormina. This is quite a frightening experience: less than 1 meter shoulders, with buses and trucks pushing you to the side of the narrow road! But what the heck! this is Italy and just enjoy it if you are able to survive! Altogether we highly recommend this place!
Our family of 3 plus another couple stayed at Villa Suk (May 10-17). It had everything we needed. We could walk to the cable car for a short ride up the mountain to Taormina (3 euros per person one way with more incredible views ) or if youâre looking for a workout you can walk up and/or down the steps too! You can also stay in the beach town of Mazzaro where the Villa is located and have dinner at any of the places recommened by Francesco in the info package. We very much preferred staying at the Villa as a base not only because of the incredible views of Isola Bella from our terrace but Taormina was a busy place so getting back to the relaxing Villa each day âfrom anywhere âwas a relief.
Fracesco had everything ready and organized as promised. Rosetta the manager was so attentive and was waiting for us as indicated. We rented a car at Catania airport so we were able to take several day trips as well. The Villa has a parking spot! Bonus in a seaside town!
Thanks to Francesco for your charming beautiful place in a magical land.
The house is spacious and very clean, nice 70s decor, the kitchen is quite small but very well equipped, bedrooms are large and the living room has a confortable sofa with flat tv. Spent most of the time in the wonderful garden, it' cool especially in the afternoon so that you can relax reading a booking or having a drink while enjoying a stunning sea view on Isola Bella. The facilities are just perfect and include a panoramic pool and a private beach shared by the complex, but there is plenty of space for evrybody.

Villa Suk or should I say Villa Superb
Best holiday for years. Villa is situated in an unbelievable position with the most magnificent view over the sea. Swam everyday in the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the cliffs. Villa Suk had everything you could want and was well positioned to have a quiet time during the day at the pool or a short walk to the beach. Also a short walk to the cable car to spend the evening in the hustle and buzz of Taormina.
Everything was perfect. Rosetta and Salvatrice are super top.Francesco provided a good info package about Taormina . The area is paradise. I will return.
We had a great week at Villa Suk. The view is amazing and the cable car to Taormina town centre is great fun. The beds are king size and very comfortable.
This villa is great. We were three couples that stayed at Villa Suk for one week. The best thing about this villa is the wonderful view's from the terrace and the balcony. The kitschen is equipped whit what you need. There is a lot to see in Isola Bella and Taormina and several good restaurants.
To mention something negative, we felt that the walk from the villa down to Isola Bella (were the beach and the restaurants are) were unsafe. Due to the road has no sidewalk and most drivers run quite fast.
The flat is on two floors, lovely garden overlooking the sea, great view, fabulous shared swimming pool, excellent swimming in the sea from a private area at the base of the cliff, all very clean and well maintained, nice restaurant a short walk away.
