Dear Anne Thank you for your careful review!! I am very happy that you and your family had nice time in my villa. I would just like to point out something very important to those who read that, since it is an ancient residence, the villa can accommodate up to 10 guests, including children and babies, as there are 5 bedrooms. In the house there are 4 working bathrooms that can comfortably serve for that maximum number of people. For this reason we do not accept requests for groups of more people.

Dear Benjamin I reply to your review because what you have written is far from reality and there are points on where the exaggeration is evident. Infact there are 5 bedrooms, 4 of them are in the ground level and they have all their own entrance from the garden. The ground floor is not a basement and it is not true that in the 2 bathrooms there are no windows. It is true that there are not shower curtains but because they have the bathtub, which is very normal in Italy. The kitchen has been completely refurbished for a few years. Of course we provide wine glasses! We do not provide, by the way, tasting globlets - as you have required - since they are expensive and guests often break them and we want to avoid asking for reimbursement of damages. I believe that we provide an efficient and welcoming service, without impinging on the choices and privacy of our guests. We leave it to our kinder readers to form their own opinion on the plausibility of the more colorful allegations. I reply also because I want to advice future owners about your behaviour as guest. You have booked for 7 adults and one child. One month before your arrival you wrote to me that the children were 2 and you confirmed that you wanted 3 double bedrooms , 1 single bedroom and the two babies beds. When you arrived you told me there was an adult more. Then you told me that the babies were not 2 but 3! Moreover although I have repeatedly emailed you to let me know what time you would have arrived to arrange your check-in, you never gave me the answer, causing a serious discomfort to my mother (82 years old) who waited for you on Sunday (holiday day ) Until 6 pm. I had to engage someone who waited until you arrived at 10.30pm. You have been given a clean and fully functional house: you have broken the dishwasher, destroyed the marble table, spoiled the black table in the dining room and returned the house in dirt never seen since renting this home with Homeaway. We were really astonished with your attitude of lack of respect for the place that hosted you and for the people who worked there.

The villa is surrounded by centuries-old, monumental trees that are protected and part of the property's historical heritage, so they cannot be cut down. However, we are extremely attentive to their care and management, and we are working to optimize their pruning to clear the view of Mt. Etna as much as possible and minimize the debris on the terrace.Just as a quick note for clarification, the villa is actually located within the official territory of Taormina, rather than Giardini Naxos. Because it is nestled in a more secluded, quiet hillside area to ensure maximum privacy, the drive to the historic town center and its main sights typically takes around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.We would love to welcome you back in the future to show you our improvements!Warm regards

Thank you for your nice review! we are very happy you spent nice time in our villa. We're also responding to this review to clarify that three of the four bathrooms actually have both a bathtub and a built-in shower. Regarding access, we're sorry you had difficulty finding the property, especially since we personally welcome our guests and provide them with all the necessary information. Furthermore, there's always someone waiting for you to check in, unlike many properties where guests are often left to their own devices.

Kære Stine tak for din anmeldelse! Jeg svarer, fordi jeg vil gerne påpege, at opvaskemaskinen ikke er gammel, men det er den anden, som jeg skiftede det sidste år. Desværre respekterer ikke alle gæster hus og apparater, som om de var hjemme, og vi kan ikke købe en ny opvaskemaskine hver uge, fordi nogen som nogle af din gruppe, for eksempel (som det faktisk skete under dit ophold!) Trykker på tændingsknappen for stærk eller åbner døren for voldsomt! For resten er jeg glad for, at du nød stedet og min villa!
