Welcome home to "Urlaub Haus" which translates to Holiday House…the perfect vacation home for the whole family! This completely remodeled 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, pool home is conveniently located in the desirable Lake Murex neighborhood off West Gulf Drive with just a short 0.4 mile walk or bike ride to the beach.

This absolutely gorgeous ground-level home is sure to please with its island style beauty and luxury accents. You'll be greeted by an open and bright interior with all the bells and whistles including new furnishings throughout, and a brand-new kitchen with quartz countertops featuring top of the line appliances. The home features an additional separate den area, perfect for some family time playing games and creating lasting memories.

After a long day at the beach hunting for Sanibel’s famous shells, step into the luxurious pool/hot tub spa to relax as you watch the game on the outdoor TV or listen to the surround sound music system while you enjoy the spectacular lakefront views. When you are ready for your next cookout, the chef of the family can create a gourmet meal in your personal convenient state-of-the-art outdoor kitchen/grill.

Sanibel Holiday's units are equipped with the latest Wi-Fi enabled locks offering easy check in and check out with no need to pick up or return keys. Everyone in the family can have access with one simple and, most importantly, secure code.

**Please note that Sanibel Island is open for business! Urlaub Haus has been welcoming guests since May 2023. All public beach accesses are open, there are over 50 restaurants now open, and many stores including Jerry’s Grocery. Some areas of our island are under construction, but this should not impact your enjoyment.**

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time as usual. The only issue that I had was the instructions to lock the front door when I left yesterday didn't work. Fortunately I met Jeff during my stay. He stopped over to pick up his mail as he had some tax related documents that had been delivered. We exchanged phone numbers and I called him. I ended up locking the front door from the inside then went out through the garage. He told me how to close the garage door using the outside panel. Other than that everything was great except the weather! LOL

Vacation Paradise

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second time renting this house. We will be renting it again in 2025. There are four adults in our group. The living quarters are very spacious. The kitchen has the necessary sundry items that allowed us to prepare meals. Although there was no Keurig machine. The toaster is a two slice toaster which is someone a hindrance with more than two people. But it is doable. If you enjoy cooking, the outdoor kitchen is definitely a bonus. I pretty much use the griddle throughout our entire stay. Since hurricane Ian, the icemaker in the outdoor kitchen has gone missing. Would be nice to have a nice maker again.Lanai with its picture frame screening, gives a great view of the lake. I just wish the landscapers would trim the hedges against the lanai screening shorter so you can enjoy the view while you’re sitting at the dining table. The pool and spa are great. Lots of room for floating. Since our first visit, the wash machine has been replaced with a speed queen, which I consider to be a bonus since I already own one.The homeowner has certainly invested in a quality home entertainment system. It is somewhat a learning curve, but once you master it, you will enjoy all the components.Sanibel Holiday was very accommodating and picking up our trash since the house had a very small garbage container in the garage. Another wish, buy at least two large trash containers that would accommodate six guests for the week.All in all, it was a great experience with the house and with Sanibel Holiday.

It felt like home by the time we had to leave. All the furniture was very comfortable. The pool and the view of the lake make this house stand out. We had our kids visit and we couldn't get our granddaughter out of the pool.The house is located an easy walk to the beach, where the shelling was great. We have already booked our stay for next year.
