Was there in August with my wife and daughter to watch my son at the Cooperstown tournament. This property is really great. We enjoyed the fire pit several times and the location is very private and relaxing. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

We stayed here for a week while our son was at a baseball tournament at Cooperstown dreams Park. The location was only about a 12 minute drive from the park. Very quiet and secluded. beautiful scenery and ann amazing place to stay. I will highly recommend!

Great baseball family basecamp

Our family stayed here while our baseball kiddo was a Cooperstown Dreams Park. Everything we needed, lots of space - more than we expected. The high ceiling gave a great spacious feel, kitchen had everything we needed. The extra bathroom and washer/dryer in the extra building were perfect. Beautiful outside area too - private, amazing night sky views. Would absolutely recommend!

Amazing Hillside Retreat

Very cute tiny cozy house on the top of a small hilltop. Very private with a wonderful outdoor vibe. Lots of wildlife seen daily. Beautiful views. Our host was fabulous.About 9 miles from Cooperstown Dream Park if you are coming for a tournament. There is a small area for access to the lake as well.

3 Generations’ First Visit to Cooperstown

Father-in-Law, son, and I celebrated son’s HS graduation with our first pilgrimage to the Baseball HOF. The Hillside Retreat was a great, luxury rustic setting to cook great meals, brush up on our fire craft, and make memories! The amenities of the property were as described. Wade is super hospitable. We’d want to stay here again!

Convenient to Dreams Park

Hillside Retreat offered me a comfortable and convenient “home base” for the week at Dreams Park. With everything I needed and nothing I didn’t, it was the perfect spot to enjoy our son’s baseball experience. Highly recommend!

We very much enjoyed our stay here, while there for my son‘s baseball tournament. This is a perfect spot for a couple! The lake is beautiful, and the home is quiet. Regardless of the size, and provides all that you need for relaxing week. Plus, it’s only about 20 minutes from Cooperstown, or 20 minutes from All-Star Village in the opposite direction.

Quiet and Relaxing

I stayed here while my son attended Cooperstown. Very quiet and relaxing. The bathroom was great and the kitchen had all of the amenities. Only drawbacks - The bunkbed I used was a bit difficult to get in and out of and most of the windows did not have any curtains, which made my son and I bit uncomfortable at night since it was so dark in the woods. We ended up putting sheets over some of the windows so people couldn't see in.

Amazing Secluded Property

We stayed here while our son played in the tournament at Dreams Park in Cooperstown. It was the perfect place to stay. Would love to come again. The only thing I would ask for is a big enough bed for adults. We made the most of it and felt like we were at camp too in our separate bunk beds. :) Would love a queen size portable bed or something as an option. Kitchen and bathroom were well stocked, place was super clean, laundry facility on site with detergent available. GREAT place. Highly recommend.

Peaceful Area, Tons of privacy!

We were so pleased with this property!!!! We came up for a tournament at Cooperstown Dreams Park. You are tucked away on a hill with no one around. I know the property listing mentions another rental, but it is down right on the lake, you are up on the hill by yourself. The property was clean and had everything we needed as far as cooking supplies. The smores basket was a pleasant surprise!!! The views of the mountains was everything I needed to decompress at the end of long ball days. Coffee in the morning at the picnic table is something I will hold dear in my heart for some time. Our family is already talking about planning a trip in the fall!!! Thank you for this beautiful property!!!

Peaceful retreat close to Cooperstown

My husband and I have stayed in at least 20 VRBO properties in our travels and we have nothing but rave reviews for this little gem of a cabin. It's at the top of the hill away from everyone- sooo peaceful and quiet that you can hear only the birds singing, watch deer in the yard or an owl in the forest. If you want a party, this is not your place- it's located in a quiet lakeside community. Which was another wonderful surprise to arrive to. We walked our dog every day and evening on the lake road, which is almost like a private drive itself because the few cars that are on it are the residents. The cabin itself is brand new, very tastefully and thoughtfully decorated- simple, economical function. Heated floors, AC, perfect WIFI reception for the TV and our phones. Brand new picnic table, fire pit and the additional pod that has a half bath, full fridge and washing machine and dryer. We didn't even need to use it for our long weekend but my husband and I said that we need to come back for a full week to relax again here and explore more of the area. I would be remiss too if I didn't mention that hands down this property had more complimentary supplies on hand than any we have ever stayed at. We packed most everything ourselves and I don't think it's an owners obligation to supply renters with everything that they had on hand for you- but the fact that it was there if we forgot something or needed it- blew us away. We hope everyone who stays here treats the property with the care and love that has gone into it. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Great Location and Home

We were in town for a weeklong baseball tournament and this was the perfect house for the 3 of us plus our two dogs. We loved that it was only 10 minutes from Dreams Park, had lake access, two fire pits, and a nice Weber grill. House is small (listing accurately describes it), but very well stocked and clean. Would highly recommend.

Great stay

Thanks for a lovely and restful stay while we were visiting family in the area. The privacy and quiet was just what we needed and the location and especially the fire pit was perfect. The house has everything you need- really thoughtful amenities- and it was extremely clean, welcoming and well organized.

Fantastic little place!

We were in the area for our son’s weeklong tournament at Cooperstown Dreamland Park. This was the perfect place to stay! Very easy drive to the park. Easy drive to downtown. The micro home is outfitted perfectly. It had a lot of the basics to help make the stay easier - linens, kitchen essentials, paper products. We would highly recommend for anyone looking to visit the area!

wooded retreat

This was a really efficient and nice studio cabin in a quiet wooded setting. We loved sitting out at the fire pit in the evenings and our dog was very engaged by the local chipmunk population. We had a great stay!
