The beach is about 1/2 mile walk away, great for shelling and quite secluded. The room is small but is a good value for the location. We used the rental cart to bring chairs to the beach to watch the sunset.

Great location and a well stocked room. It’s small but then who goes to Sanibel Island to stay inside all day. There are two pullout drawers under the bed so space is maximized. I will definitely stay here again.

Relaxing Weekend

Such a pretty place in a quiet neighborhood. Looking forward to coming back soon. Loved that bikes, beach items were there for us to use. But loved getting up and sitting on the dock looking at the pond with all it's wildlife in the morning. And the short walk to the private beach was just what the doctor ordered.

Getaway Cottage By the Sea

Lovely lovely cottage a short walk to a private beach. Beach gear in the closet (two chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler!). We rode the available bikes to the beach everyday- 3 minute bike ride! Nice lagoon in the back to watch the pretty birds. Room is quaint-just right for 2 people for a 3-day stay! We will for sure be back! (The bed is not comfortable but we made due!!!!) :-)

I love everything about this property .

I love everything about this property .. location, pond and wildlife, easy access to the beach. The room was very clean! The shower looked rather new. However, the blinds are bent and broken and small throw pillow is stained and faded. The door is very hard to open and appears to need some trim work completed. The bed was very noisey and the headboard wobbled. I would not consider this room a 5 star room.

Nice Island Rental on a Budget

Property was very clean. Great location close to Captiva and Sanibel. Bathroom was nice and clean. Only complaints: 1. Beach Parking Pass is ONLY for use on the property’s beach access. I wish this was more clearly stated on the room literature as we found this out the hard way! $150 parking ticket! 2. The bed is awful. Not very comfortable at all. That’s about it. The space is small, like a budget hotel room small. But we didn’t spend a lot of time there. Between the bed and one very uncomfortable chair there was no place in the room to get comfortable for me. 3. The bikes that are supplied are old and not in great working order ( The pedal kept falling off one of them! ) Sanibel/Captiva is a beautiful place. If you’re looking for a 5 Star Resort keep looking. (And there are lots of them on this Island but big $$$$) This is a nice hotel room on a beautiful beach for a reasonable price. I probably wouldn’t choose this again but we did have a great time!

Thank you for your review. We do state the parking is for Tradewinds private parking only and it states that on the parking pass. The room certainly isn’t advertised as five star but as a comfortable olde sanibel inn near the beach. We do provide the bikes at no charge and will take a look at them to make sure they’re all in good working order. Ty again

Les points forts : Propreté
I do have to say the room was very clean and the bathroom was nice. Very small room. I feel that it's too expensive for what we got. You can barely move around in the room or have your stuff anywhere or have room to sit & eat. Where the toaster was located, it made the smoke detector go off. The listing wasn't very detailed on what was available because this is connected to another vacation rental that is obviously a lot larger. There are 2 screened-in porches on the back of the house and it seems weird that the other rental has 2 porches but there is no internal access to the porch from this room, so we assume it was not part of listing. Instructions kept telling us to use the dishwasher; there's no dishwasher. It was confusing on where the beach access parking was. There's a sign that says no parking and a little wire gate that is sometimes up and sometimes down. We left it down because we didn't know better & saw it down earlier, then the locals were rude to us to put it back up. I wish the listing or room had better directions/instructions for beach parking. (But the local beach was very nice & quiet). Not necessarily owners' fault but neighbors were loudly drunk & moving furniture at 1 AM. So it is possible to hear the noise from other listing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are glad to hear that you found the room very clean, enjoyed the bathroom, and had a great time at our quiet local beach. We always want our guests to know exactly what to expect, which is why we list the precise square footage, layout, and amenities directly on our property listing. Because this is a compact, efficiency-style suite, space is limited, and we do our best to disclose that fully so guests can choose the right fit for their needs. Thank you for bringing the automated messaging to our attention; we will audit our digital check-in guide immediately to ensure any mentions of a dishwasher or porch access are removed for this specific suite. We will also update our welcome guide with clearer visuals regarding the local beach access gate to save future guests any confusion with the neighborhood guidelines. We appreciate your constructive feedback as it helps us improve the guest experience.

I booked this room for 3 nights but ended up leaving after 1. This is a very small room. The bed is horrible and sleep was impossible. Overall, the extremely small space could be uograded with a small investment (new bed, new window treatments) and you could than call it quaint but as it stands now my suggestion would be to save your money and keep looking.
