This 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom sleeps up to 8 and is walking distance to Canyon Lodge! It is comprised of 2 bedrooms and an enclosed loft. Enjoy a full kitchen, TV, DVD, WiFi, and gas fireplace. This unit also has a washer/dryer. The master bedroom has a king bed with a TV. The second bedroom has a king bed with a TV. The loft has a bunk bed with a full size bottom bunk and a TV and the living room has a sofa sleeper. It offers a private BBQ. The Silver Bear common area has an recreation room to enjoy with a lounge with a Foosball table, fireplace and reading area, as well as showers. There is a year round sauna, covered Jacuzzi, outdoor Jacuzzi, communal gas BBQ grill area and in Summer a small plunge pool and fire pit. Enjoy a heated underground parking garage for 1 car (garage clearance is 7' 2") with interior hallways and accessible elevator access to your unit on the 3rd floor. Located on the blue shuttle line. The unit is not pet friendly. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, pilates and cycle studio and more. Guests will be provided two parking passes. If more parking is required than what is allotted, feel free to call our office for alternative options. Our calendar is updated in real time. Great location

Overall the property and location were great. It would have been good to know about the elevator before we carried all our stuff up to the third floor.

Reviewer Comments: Check-in/check out was a breeze in town, and as you can see from any map, Silver Bear is very easy walking distance from Canyon, the major attraction for us. We are two families with four adults and three children and this condo accomodated us well. Each bedroom has a bathroom and the common areas - kitchen, dining room and living room - were comfy and well outfitted. The kids' room upstairs does get quite warm - leaving the window open at night helped a lot. Would definitely rent again!

Nice short walk to lifts

The condo was bigger inside than it looked on line. It was nice to be so close to the elevator. The loft was great for kids. The condo was a bit older and starting to look aged. microwave handle broke, some other blemishes around the condo as well. The view was lovely, being on the 3rd floor the lofted ceilings gave it a big feel. The kitchen was well stocked and two main bedrooms nice. If you are looking for a very nice 3 br,3ba close to the slopes, this is your place.

Dirty !! Every dish we used had to be washed first. The sofa bed was never cleaned after use. It had popcorn and a pair of dirty socks still in it. Unacceptable!!

There is a well equipped kitchen and very convenient indoor parking.A few small things need attention and maintenance. The sound system kept displaying speaker error messages. The gas fireplace instructions mentioned some knobs that were hidden and extremely hard to find. The sauna was OK, but we were told that the hot tub heater had been broken a while ago.

Nice, roomy condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo Silver Bear #39 was a good fit for our two families who shared it, including a baby and a preschooler. We loved that it had 3 bathrooms, two bedrooms and a good sized loft, and a washer / dryer. We did a lot of cooking and having people over for meals and the living room and kitchen were big enough for us.We had a problem with our internet connection and the property manager sent someone over and he fixed the problem right away.The condition of the condo was very great except that the sliding door to the master bath was broken, and the door to the master bedroom did not close well. Hopefully, they will get these fixed before the next guests.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo itself has lots of light, great views, and the 3 bedroom, 3 bath layout is very nice! It just needs a few repairs and updating: the kitchen blinds did not pull up, a tile is chipped and missing on the kitchen counter (you can see it in the promo picture!), the kitchen faucet leaks, the microwave door handle needs repair, the towel rack in the loft is gone (one bracket is left!), the king mattress in the front bedroom isn't too comfortable, the TV should be moved to over the fireplace (the TV blocks amazing mountain views!--also there are too many and confusing TV controls), some water damage over the fireplace, the gas fireplace did not work (we tried for an hour to fix it--my brother's an expert--it needs a new insert; a nice maintenance guy came promptly but couldn't easy fix it), and the place could use some new carpet. I've stayed at lots of condos in Mammoth over the last 40 years and this one is a favorite: Simply refresh it a bit and you've got a gem!

Great spot

I absolutely loved the location! We were able to walk to Canyon Lodge and enjoy a full day on the mountain. The place was cozy, we couldn't get the fireplace working but the heater was working great! And of course the hot tub was a success! Had enough cooking supplies and even spices we didn't have to buy! Thank you for everything!

Good location - outdated facilities

Blizzard conditions. We picked up the key from another location. Received keys and parking tags. The entry to the building was blocked by heavy snow. Didn’t know how to get in into the building. Fortunately, someone opened the garage door. We entered walking. We couldn’t tell we were in the right place. I asked someone and they confirmed it was silver bear, I believe. We finally found our unit. We had to use the stairs to the 3rd floor since elevator was out of order. When we accessed the unit we found the garage door opener. Why was t the garage door opener with the keys we picked up? We couldn’t use the upstairs bedroom because even though the temperature downstairs was set at 65 degrees upstairs felt like 90 degrees. No one slept in it. Too hot no ventilation.

Relatively easy walk to Canyon Lodge although is uphill on way out. Covered parking is great (1 car only) and lift access is close to front door of unit.

Great location for all activities

The unit is on the 3rd floor, right next to the elevator. This made for easy loading and unloading. The living room/dining room/kitchen is a great lay out. There is a small balcony with a BBQ. (Bring your own lighter/matches!!). There is even an Insta-pot!! The rationale for the 4 stars on the cleanliness: there was a LOT of dust in the unit. Although the surfaces were clean to the touch, there was a lot of dust in the high surfaces (the ones at ceiling level). It made our allergies activate. As soon as we left the building, we were fine. Also, be aware that there are screens missing from 2 of the 4 windows in the living room. One of the windows leads to the balcony - not a safety hazard. However the other missing screen is on a window that is easily accessible. Just be careful! We kept that window closed. Third, the DVD player in the living room TV works but it only played in Black and White. The kids thought it was so old fashioned! Suggestion: bring an HDMI cable so you can connect your device to the free WiFi and the TV. I wish we had done that ... Lastly, the pocket door to the bathroom in one of the master bedrooms doesn't close all the way. Just something to be aware of... All in all, we loved our vacation at the Silverbear Condos. I would stay here again (and come a bit more prepared with an HDMI cable!).

Nice to have a bathroom upstairs in loft and two bathrooms on lower floor. Building and parking were very convenient. Best stocked kitchen ever with every pot, bowl, etc. that you need. To be clear, a little dated, but I have never stayed in an updated condo in Mammoth and it does not bother me. Would definitely stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Condo was fully stocked, clean, comfortable, and quiet. This is a 3rd floor condo near the elevator so ease of use is nice.

Rental was not what was expected

The place is very run down and not what was expected. There were many gashes in the walls, broken down furniture and things that did not work. The pocket door in the master bedroom was broken. The fireplace was extremely hard to figure out to turn on. Ended up calling maintenance to come assist. The unit needs serious improvements for the price we paid per night
