If you are looking for a quick getaway Treetops is a elegant bright beach house on North Captiva, has 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, (1) Golf Cart Included!
420 - Treetops is conveniently located between the North Captiva Island Club and Safety Harbor Club, within walking distance to amenities you and your family can enjoy. It has King Master Suite, King Bedroom, and 2 Twin/Trundle beds. Large open screened in porch for outside dining. Fully equipped kitchen, including a Keurig and a regular drip coffee maker for your usage. There is also a r/o water system that ties into the freezer to make drinkable ice.

This vacation rental home is located on North Captiva Island. Remote and undiscovered, North Captiva Island is accessible only by ferry, private boat or small plane. This private island community is reminiscent of old Florida as it once was during a simpler time. Just 3 miles off shore, this tropical paradise is part of the Lee Island Coast barrier island chain in South West Florida. Nearest airport to fly to would be in Fort Myers, Fl or Punta Gorda, FL. Travel by golf cart or bicycle on our sandy native trails. Here, you will find no cars, no crowds or paved roads. North Captiva Island offers a small town impression with enough amenities to suite your family needs. Guest would have access to our club pools, hot tub, bikes, kayaks, half basketball court, and beach chairs. We welcome you to join us for a truly memorable experience of a self-effacing refuge, where a slower pace is expectant. All are fully equipped with our resort package for your convenience and setup for comfort with all the luxuries of your own home to be found right here, in paradise!

Great house- frustrating management

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived to NCI after the rental management office had closed for the day. The ferry crew gave us our golf cart showing a dead battery & sent us looking for Treetops. (I later found out that my parents who were staying in “Fishtales” was given a map & paperwork for them to document any damage they found upon arrival to their house). We drove around the whole north end of the island on a dead battery before finding Treetops. A map would have been helpful! We had been given a code to the Treetops door. It didn’t work. With the golf cart battery now flashing we had nothing to do but wait for the guys delivering our luggage. When they arrived they were able to contact someone by phone for the correct door code. They also went back to their workshop & returned with an extension cord so that we could plug our dead golf cart in since the owners golf cart with a lock on the steering wheel was blocking the outlet. Once in the house with a charged golf cart we enjoyed a wonderful week of island paradise. The owners of Treetops operate a HVAC business out of the Treetops garage, so their employee is there every morning and every afternoon, but he’s a very nice guy and tries not to make much noise. The biggest frustration we had was after we returned home. The owner of Treetops contacted us to say there was a dent in her garage door and asked if we had purchased rental insurance. We were shocked as we knew we had not made any such damage. Fortunately my daughter used her common sense detective skills and found that the damage to the door is visible in the picture taken long before our stay and is used by the management company to promote Treetops on their website! I would hope that this error was an honest mistake, but the fact that we were not given the same paperwork to document damages that our family member in another house was given leads me to question that. I would stay in Treetops again if a new management company is hired for it.

Convenient location

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House is conveniently located near marina, pool and tennis courts. Liked being able to drive golf cart everywhere. Love that there are wall to wall sliding doors on the wrap around porch to let the breeze in. Plenty of furniture on porch for gathering. It needs a good cleaning, especially the floors, our feet turned black after walking on the floors every day. House needs updated, bathrooms are really small. Found huge cockroach in game drawer on first day. There's construction going on next door on new house so be aware of that noise going on. Has 4 coffee makers and none of them are a Keurig so I would recommend an update there. Overall a nice house but I would not stay here again. The whole arrival experience from ferry was disorganized and finding the house with a small hard to read map in the dark was frustrating.

Great location, amazing island, filthy house

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place felt so dirty, it’s like a frat house - beer company decor, we found a bong in a cupboard, furniture extremely dated and all fabric. Definitely will go back to island, but won’t be staying here again.

Bad Experience Could've been eased my Property Manager

We traveled to North Captiva for the first time during the end of June 2021, and thoroughly enjoyed the island. The fishing was great, the beaches, spectacular, and the island puts off this wonderful Vibe of relaxation and renewal. The property we rented however made the trip a completely miserable experience. This location is in terrible shape, and is greatly in need of updating. The place was filthy, all of the dishes, cutlery, pots/pans... etc. were disgusting, and had to be washed both by hand prior to use. The furniture is outdated, and dirty etc.The front door looked like someone went at it with a crowbar, and the knob was faulty. For some reason, we had three golf carts under the house, two of which had contractor logo's on them, and were picked up and dropped off daily by people who looked to be day laborers. This was quite unsettling initially, as they said nothing, Ogled at my teenaged daughter, and then went on there merry way. Never speaking when even 10 feet apart. This went on ALL week mind you, until it became a topic of humor among our family, but definitely not what we paid for. What made it even more unbearable was the fact that the golf cart we were provided by the rental company - North Captive Rentals - was dysfunctional to the point of being dangerous. We made several complaints as the golf cart shown in the ad was acceptable, certainly not new, but it would have gotten us around for the week. The cart we ended up was the worst of the lot of green rental carts North Captiva Rental group rents, non of which should be allowed to drive around. The front light didn't work, and the cart wouldn't go in forward on most occasions due to a faulty switch. Keep in mind there where two other carts on the property we couldn't use. When asked to have it replaced, they stated that they didn't have any extras "laying around"... and we've told "Bryan" that all of our carts are junk. This became anonther point of humor for the family, as one morning my wife decided last minute to go snook fishing with me, and upon getting into the golf cart, we couldn't get the damn thing into forward, so I... very frustrated, made the decision to drive the damn thing in reverse from my rented home, to the Marina at 5:30 in the morning. All in all... STAY AWAY FROM NORTH CAPTIVA ISLAND RESORT RENTALS. They don't seem to be interested in solving your problems once you're on property. If possible, find other opportunities!

Couldn't wait to leave

We just returned from (what should have been a five-night stay at) this property on North Captiva Island - we ended up leaving 2 days early because we couldn't wait to leave. The rental was managed by North Captiva Island Club, a completely disorganized outfit. None of the employees wear masks or practice Covid-19 precautions, nor do they require the guests to wear masks on the shuttle bus from the parking area to the ferry. When we arrived on the island, nobody knew where our house was located and we drove around aimlessly until we found it. The house itself - despite being advertised as "newly renovated" - was in poor condition and in serious need of a facelift. The front door knob was hanging off the door and could not be used to lock the door (could only use the deadbolt). The AC was very noisy, bathrooms were tiny, the furniture was stained, the floor was filthy, and I don't think anyone has bothered to dust in 20 years. The only nice thing about the house was the large screened-in porch area. Despite charging it every night, the golf cart broke down repeatedly and we got stranded and had to call the Club to come pick us up (when we complained, the guy at the Club admitted that their "golf carts are crap."). On the 2nd morning, our golf cart went missing for an entire day because some random person just decided to take it (there are no keys, so anybody can take your golf cart). There are few places to eat on the island and they all serve the same deep fried, bar-type food that is terrible and wildly overpriced. The beach is nothing special. We never did find the second club we supposedly had access to? All-in-all, the entire experience was chaotic, disorganized, and very, very underwhelming and a huge waste of money. To salvage the remainder of our trip, we left 2 days early and spent the rest of our time in Pine Island instead. It seems criminal that we paid as much as we did to stay in that very dirty and run-down house.
