BEACH FRONT HOME 30 ÉTAPES AU GOLFE DU MEXIQUE

Nous sommes situés sur la pointe nord de l'île ... sur une plage de sable blanc immaculée surplombant les eaux turquoises du golfe du Mexique connu sous le nom "Rum Point". Il y a 4 acres de terrain privé non aménagé à l'arrière de la propriété remplie d'oiseaux tropicaux et de la faune de l'île ... ce qui rend notre maison très privée et calme !!!
À l'avant de notre maison se trouve le golfe du Mexique, à seulement 30 marches et vous pouvez vous rendre directement dans les eaux turquoises!
Une fois que vous arrivez au quai, vous serez dirigé vers votre voiturette de golf qui sera votre moyen de transport sur l’île pendant votre séjour, notre île n’a pas de voiture, seulement des sentiers de sable et des voiturettes de golf luxuriants! La propriété est un court trajet en voiturette de golf de 5 minutes du quai. Une fois que vous vous êtes installé à Rainbows End, vous pourrez explorer l’île avec la voiturette de golf fournie, profitez de notre abonnement VIP Island Club optionnel qui offre l’utilisation gratuite du vélo et du kayak, des chaises de plage et des parasols gratuits, l’utilisation de 2 piscines, des courts de tennis. et d'autres agréments VIP, ou simplement vous détendre et profiter de cette maison de plage magique.
Lorsque vous voyagez sur une île-barrière, une location au bord de la plage est vraiment un must! Le son rythmique des vagues qui s'écrasent doucement à quelques pas de votre table à dîner, des couchers de soleil spectaculaires sous le porche ou la plage, entrez dans les eaux scintillantes du golfe à tout moment, regardez les dauphins nager sous votre porche presque tous les jours!
L'île offre également des miles de sentiers de la nature pour la randonnée et l'exploration, plus de 600 acres de Federal Wildlife Preserve est l'un des nombreux trésors de l'île. Miles de plages immaculées et non peuplées, et en fonction de la direction du vent ... toujours une plage calme pour profiter de quelque part sur l'île.
L'île de North Captiva est une véritable île au large, un accès en bateau ou en avion seulement, des voiturettes de golf et des bicyclettes sur des sentiers de sable par rapport aux voitures et aux routes, mais toutes les commodités de la côte. L’île compte environ 300 propriétaires, 4 bars / restaurants, un bar / grill à la piscine populaire, un grill de marina, un petit dépanneur, des excursions de pêche et de canotage guidées, une boutique de souvenirs, la location de bateaux, des livraisons de courses, etc. Une fois que vous arrivez, vous ne voudrez pas ou ne devez pas partir!
Les ferries circulent tout au long de la journée, 20 $ à la côte, 20 minutes en bateau, vous pouvez partir presque n'importe quand, vous ne voudrez pas! Des bateaux d'excursion partent tous les jours pour faire le tour des îles, observer les dauphins et faire des courses d'épicerie.

Perfect Location!!

Loved our stay. Will come back next year. Home nicely updated, we had everything we needed. Only cons were the golf cart needed some care and some screens missing on sun porch but the PROS definitely outweighed the cons.Thank you for letting us enjoy this relaxing home.

Loved this place! Coming from Florida and some really high standards for beaches this place really was magical. Great shells, great water, the owners and property managers were fabulous. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Things to consider before/after booking as well as our experience.(1) Ferry: You must pay to park at a marina (only golf carts on island) AND pay for a ferry to/from island. For my family of 4, over 400. Unexpected and overpriced. (2) No grocery stores: I packed all of our food (breakfast, snacks, drinks, etc.) but problem was, all the fresh baked muffins I brought for breakfast had to go into the trash because the house had sugar ants! Had we known the house had this issue we would have packaged differently or refrigerated. Given no stores on island, no way to replace, unacceptable. (3) Master Suite: The listing had a king size bed (one of my requirements/filters) but upon arrival, it was a queen! Apparently new home owner changed and forgot to update listing (we did not rest good). (4)Cleaning Fee: While you pay a huge cleaning fee, what you dont know is, at checkout you are expected to: wash/dry all towels, dishes, put out all trash, pull bed sheets off, etc. Now, if I was staying at a friends house or paying a low fee, I would absolutely do as common courtesy. However, when paying an astronomical fee to stay at this house AND a HUGE cleaning fee, not acceptable. We had other small issues too but dealt with those and tried to not let all the issues ruin our stay. We were offered a small refund which would not even pay for ferry little alone our bad experience and inconveniece. House was clean & amazing views but unfortunately with all issues, I cannot recommend. So sad

There was great communication with all staff. Management team was very polite and did whatever was necessary to make our stay even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend to anybody who is looking to stay on North Captiva! Will definitely be there for the next Fourth of July!

The house was exactly as listed, clean and tranquil. Our favorite spot was the front porch, the breeze kept us cool and the sea life kept us entertained. The grocery delivery was perfect and we had a great time.

Tropical Paradise

We had a fabulous stay. Joseph was wonderful helping us get checked in, so prompt, helpful & friendly. House was perfect so close to the beach. We loved Mangos & had a wonderful boat trip with Captain Sam! Found many beautiful shells. Will def. Do a return trip.

Great Location/terrible management

Location and view were amazing. Unfortunately, the management group was terrible. We have stayed in this house numerous times under different management and never had a problem. This is our favorite house on the island but will not stay again unless under different management, Jenn was great and tried to address the problems we were having.

Perfect escape to the beach

This was our second stay at Rainbow’s End. Our first stay was the week before Hurricane Ian hit Florida. After seeing the pictures of the damage, we were all amazed at the incredible job done by the builders to recreate what we had enjoyed last year. Everything was perfect at this rental. The view of both sunrise and sunset was the absolute best. The screened deck was perfect for dolphin spotting as well as other ocean creatures. We especially enjoyed collecting shells at low tide. The communication with the management team was immediate and very responsive. I will be back! Thank you for a wonderful week!

The Last Trip

This was the last vacation with the family intact as our son left for Navy bootcamp a few weeks after. It did not dissapoint! The property was very ideal in terms of set up, location, and views. We saw 3 different stingrays(?) breach the water completely on different days, as well as a pod of dolphins strolling by on the beach less than 30 yards from the water line. Our 10 year old was ecstatic! The evenings were so quiet and relaxing. I highly recommend this property for those looking for a getaway from the realities of the every day grind.

Rainbow’s End is the Pot of Gold

I am from the southwest Florida area and love Captiva. It had been sometime (pre-hurricane) since we had visited North Captiva. Rainbow’s End did not disappoint. First of all, the view is spectacular. You are right on the Gulf looking at Cayo Costa. We did indeed see manatees right out in front and actually got to swim with them. We also saw lots of dolphin and birds. This stretch of beach is amazing. It is so secluded you almost feel like you are the only people on the beach. What is fantastic about this property is the fact that it has a screened in porch across the entire front. You’re not sitting behind glass looking at the water. You’re actually able to sit out on the porch and hear the birds, hear the waves, and hear the rain. The stand out of this property was the outdoor shower. The Key lime body gel smelled amazing and was the perfect end to a day spent on the sand. The grill was brand new and we used it a lot. This house has everything you will need for a great day on the beach, chairs, noodles, floats, inner tubes, umbrellas, and toys for the kids. It was super clean and well stocked. We had plenty of room and with a little investment in the mattresses and the bedding, this place would be a home run. Shally’s Seashells Property management group was fantastic to work with. So responsive, so professional, and answered all of our questions. The grocery delivery service was amazing. We loved every minute here. This is a can’t miss property.

Paradise at Rainbow's End

This is an amazing house with arguably the best view and location on the island. I love that the property is in a private area so you do not have many people on the beach or driving golf carts by on the main path. If you are obsessed with shells, you are going to love it here. Just remember to only take a selection of dead shells and please do not force out any residents (crabs, etc.). The rule of thumb I use is to smell the shell - if it stinks - set it back down because something is living in there (or sadly rotting in there - but circle of life - the ants or other sea life will make good use of it). The water here is beautiful tropical greens and blues just like the Caribbean and calmer then the east coast. Perhaps the coolest thing about the location is that manatees will swim with you. We felt very secluded and saw lots of wildlife (gopher turtles, sea turtle nests, manatees, eastern indigo snakes). It is very peaceful. The house is well stocked, and I mean well stocked. I always pack travel items and toilet paper, etc. but you really didn't have to here unless you have certain brand preferences. I highly recommend the grocery delivery and stocking service from Dervil Property Management (Yvena and Joe are fantastic and super responsive!). Being an island with limited restaurants and even more limited healthy options, meal planning ahead of time works out really well. The maintenance group was also fantastic - upon arrival the house was being power-washed and all outdoor furniture cleaned (there are so many seating options including 2 hammocks - one down in a beach alcove, one on the screened in porch, plenty of chairs and tables both on the porch and under the house, and 3 sets of lounge chairs - one on the sunning deck, one in the private alcove on the opposite side from the hammock, and one at the beach path nearest the ocean. We used those the most. Our first night, the microwave had a power failure, I texted Yvena and she connected with the owner (whom we also had the pleasure of meeting the next day). In the morning, the owner brought a brand new microwave, had a brand new dishwasher installed (not a request - was something planned that we benefited from) and brought a better gold cart with higher tires to navigate the paths. Later, Nico (Nicholas) came out to install the dishwasher and we had a blast talking with him about the Island. He also brought new air filters and replaced those. We felt like VIPs! Thanks!

A touch of paradise

The entire experience was amazing. From the greeting when we arrived and the transition of our items to the house right up to the farewell at the end. This is the perfect spot on North Captiva island. Quiet and relaxing and beautiful.

The house was wonderful. The beach is steps away. Quiet, relaxing trip. Had a small problem with the shower but was fixed immediately. Will definitely be returning.

Buddy's Spring Break 2025

Wow! Is the best way to sum it all up. Did not really know what to expect after the storms but it is obvious and appreciated the work, time and effort that has gone into bringing Rainbows End into its current pristine condition. The location is amazing, My Wife, myself and our 2 year old Lab "Buddy" had the best time enjoying this property, the Beach, Sunrises, Sunsets and laid back vibe was amazing! Kudos to the Shallys Seashells Property Team for making this available. Russ, Diann & Buddy woof, woof, woof approved.

Very relaxing

Very nice small house in a quiet setting. Beautiful location (and sunsets). Our only issue was bit of lack of communication from the local property manager. The local manager's young kids met us at the dock on arrival, which was a little odd, but then we had workmen show up unannounced twice - once working on the washer which we didn't know was an issue. Other than that, a great stay.

Great stay

My family enjoyed the stay last week at this cottage right on the beach. Amazing views, saw dolphins while on the back deck. Remote, quiet, and relaxing. We had ants, the manager was responsive and had a professional out the next day. Just make sure to wear plenty of bug spray when outside, but that isn’t an issue with the property. Overall we were very pleased!
