Very nice place

The location was perfect if you are looking for a beach stay. Ocean is a minute walk and you have the strip to walk. The property is very nice and you have the great backyard with a private deck to hang out. The is a fire pit and grill what would have made it perfect would have been if they had a hot tub on the deck. Overall I would stay here again.

Great Stay

This trip was our first time at Old Orchard Beach. The location was incredible. Michael, our point of contact, was very responsive and helpful. The property, being steps from the beach, had all the amenities you could ask for. I recommend this property to anyone.

The house is in a great location - quick walk to the beach and far enough away from the pier to avoid congestion, while still being close to conveniences. We did need assistance with the keyless entry and received a quick response when we called our contact. While some folks may not appreciate the train rail, no matter where we've stayed in OOB, we've heard the train. To see it up close was a bonus for our grandson - he loved it! Easy Wi-Fi access; we are not TV watchers on vacation so we can't address that. If we were to return in a group, I would absolutely stay here again.

Maine closes in October

I visited Maine with my parents to celebrate their 50th. They wanted to see the Fall colors, so we came mid-October. Turns out, many shops close early (5ish) starting in October. Some entire towns close for the season as well; this includes Old Orchard Beach.

East Grand Ave. stay

The overall stay was enjoyable. The house had some weird attributes like having to go through bedrooms to get to other bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. It was close to the pier and beach in Old Orchard Beach which was nice, but like all the other properties in that vicinity you had to deal with the trains going by and blowing their horns at all the intersections. Mike was the go to person and he did a great job helping us with whatever we needed done.

There is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs with 2 stairways to get up there. The bedroom over the garage has to go thru either bedroom, which is not convenient. The 3rd bathroom is downstairs (with a shower), so one couple has to come downstairs to shower. The kitchen is remodeled, has a few utensils. Has a Keurig. Across the street is the beach and just down the street is the main area

It wasn’t said that the tvs didn’t have cable. 3 did not work at all besides the static. Back door screen was broken, the door to the back porch was hard to close/lock. The grill was not fully cleaned properly leaving a fire after the first use. Plumbing in the house was wonky at times. Downstairs toilet barely worked unless you held the handle for a minute. Trash in bins from previous occupants was not removed until 3 days after us checking in. Great location and easy access/walk to the beach, but for the price and everything included above. We won’t be back.

We appreciate your feedback and are always working to improve the guest experience.To clarify a few points: trash is collected on Tuesdays, and sometimes on Saturdays as well, depending on the schedule. Regarding the TVs, they are equipped with cable, Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming services for guests who have their own accounts. If you had trouble accessing any of these, we would have been more than happy to assist. Just a quick call, and we could have walked you through it or come by to help directly.As for the grill, it is regularly cleaned, including the bottom tray, but if grease builds up, it can occasionally cause a small flare-up. This is something we’ll continue to monitor closely. The downstairs toilet functions properly, though it does require holding the handle a bit longer, which is typical for some toilet models.We truly wish you had reached out during your stay; most of these issues could have been resolved quickly and easily. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hope you’ll consider staying with us again so we can provide you with a smoother experience.Thank you again for choosing our property!"

The location of this property is good especially if you want to be right in the middle of things. It’s close to the beach and to the amusement park. I do think that they should put in the description that there is a train that is most definitely going to wake you up multiple times a night though. I found the living room furniture very dated and uncomfortable and the dining room table was quite dirty. The washer also leaked. My one major complaint though is that when trying to reach the host to get in the check in code, they never responded so I had to call the 888 number to get it. They finally were able to get in touch with the owner to get me the code but we had to wait hours after our scheduled checkin to get it. The host never reached out to me but VRBO did give us a a partial reimbursement for dinner (which they told us to go to while they attempted to contact the owner)

Upon arriving at the house, we see that they were doing construction which we didn't expect. The house itself (the downstairs) was very nice. Upstairs was a different story. In the description it says 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms. Yes, there were 3 bedrooms upstairs with only 2 sets of stairs to get there. The bedroom in the front of the house has to go thru either bedroom to get up and down. The 2 bedrooms upstairs have bathrooms, the 3rd bathroom is downstairs. Not a great situation for couples going thru bedrooms when people are sleeping or whatever. Not much closet space except for the master bedroom. It was across the street from the beach and many restaurants in the area.

House spacious and clean

House was clean and everything was great for our stay. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the furniture was very comfortable. We would stay here again. All amenities worked well for us. Upstairs closet bifold door was hard to open and close, but that was not a big deal. We left some extra laundry detergent for the next guests.

Nice House, Close to the Beach

We had a great stay at the house in OOB. The house was vert roomy and clean. It is about a 2 min walk to the beach. The house is right on the road so it does have road and foot traffic noise, but that is any property near the beach at OOB. The train tracks are right behind the house also, but if you want to go to OOB every property that is close to the beach is close to the tracks. For my family it did not bother us. Would stay again.

Super fun area! I’ve been to OOB before and there’s tons to do. The house was very nice and clean but there definitely were some things that could have been better. Two of the air conditioners in two of the bedrooms were so loud they could not be used, two of the ceiling fans were so wobbly that they were unsafe to run, and only half of the outside patio lights worked. Should be noted somewhere that there was a washer and dryer so we could have packed laundry soap (and less clothes) and maybe mention that there wasn’t paper towels or enough paper products for each bathroom. We all had a blast and bought all the things we needed for our stay but for the price I wish some of these things were taken care of.

Great Beach Vacation

Excellent location with just a few steps to the beach. House was truly clean and sparkling. Yes, there are trains coming through behind the house. The train tracks run throughout Old Orchard Beach and can be heard in every location. If you are a light sleeper, this may be an issue. Best for family, close friends as the third bedroom can only be accessed by walking through one of the other bedrooms. There are two staircases, each leading right into a bedroom.. We cooked many meals and the kitchen had plenty of space. Wish for more wine glasses, (there was only 1) and for more utensils (only 4 forks). We solved it with a quick trip to Goodwill and got some extra utensils and wine glasses. We truly enjoyed the beach and took day trips to other areas..

When working out saw juice boxes under the sofa and lots of dust. Kitchen utensils were mediocre, grill outside did not work, decor was a bit clashy. Needs an update.

Could be better

This property has good space. The living room and kitchen area are big and open so it can accommodate several people well. The beds were comfortable. However, we felt this property was missing several things that would have made our stay more enjoyable. We visited from out of state, so we couldn't bring a lot of things with us. We got by, but the kitchen is only equipped with the very basics. They did provide plenty of towels, but they were very thin. When we stayed at other beach side properties, the houses had boogie boards and bikes for guests to use which would have been fantastic. Overall, our stay was good, but providing extra touches would have been nice.
