As a Historic 1867 Farmhouse, the upstairs staircase is steeper than modern building standards. The upstairs bathroom is 1867 original and features an authentic cast Iron Claw-Foot tub, which has limited standing room inside the tub. Very cool and original but limited standing room in the tub.

A very nicely remodeled historic home. Lots of sleeping areas, close enough to walk to town & the beach and the kitchen was great & fully stocked. The pool table kept our teenagers entertained. An overall great experience!

Well stocked and clean rental

We had a great time and enjoyed the proximity to downtown. The house was super clean and well stocked with items to make the stay better. The bedrooms were great, only thing that would make it better would be a shower in the upstairs bathroom.

The perfect spot

Our family had a wonderful time during our visit to Charlevoix for a wedding at Castle Farms. This home provided the perfect spot for us with plenty of space for everyone and a central location that was convenient to the downtown area, the wedding venue, and many other great places to visit. This home is an excellent property for a family or group. It's obvious that the property is well maintained and cared for by its owners. In fact, there were thoughtful touches throughout this charming house--including a nice bottle of wine! The kitchen is well equipped and stocked with convenient dry goods. This house would be a really nice place to stay with children. Overall, the attentive owner and his excellent properties made for a wonderful weekend for my son's wedding.

Great house close to everything

We came to Charlevoix for our son’s wedding. House is close to castle farms and downtown. Easy walk to restaurants, lighthouse, and mushroom houses. Well stocked kitchen and lots of towels! Would definitely stay again! Thank you!

Memorable

We came to Charlevoix for our daughter’s wedding at Castle Farms. The Garfield was a perfect location. We also enjoyed the character and cleanliness of the house. Joseph was great at responding to our questions once we arrived. Highly recommend this home!

Great Place walking distance to everything in Charlevoix

What a great place for a vacation. I rented this home for my extended family. We were in town for a wedding at Castle Farms. This home was absolutely perfect. The home is beautiful, is decorated nicely, has comfortable beds , had plenty of room and was walking distance to everything in Charlevoix. The owner called to make sure everything was OK too- which was great. I Highly recommend this place and host.

Wedding Weekend

The house was super convenient to the wedding venue. It was clean, well decorated and the host Joe was super easy to communicate with. The one negative would be having only one proper shower, but the good definitely outweighed any small issues.

This wonderful, historical home was immaculately clean, fun for our family of 10, with 3 small children, and a teenager. Between the game room and living room activities to food preparation in the well equipped kitchen for our army, we loved everything about this farm house. Wonderful Home and Host

Our party was a group of adults traveling to be in our friends' wedding party. The house was amazing. Very lovely and clean, not to mention stocked to heck. We didn’t want for anything while we were there. It was perfect for a group of twenty-something professionals to wind down after celebrating our friends' union. I would absolutely pick this place again if given the chance.

Family getaway

House was nice, loved location and the character of the inside of the house. Hard to only have one shower and did not realize air was window air conditioner. Also, felt outside of house needs to be cleaned up. It was great to be able to make meals and grill outside!

The owner was incredible! I had some questions when I arrived and he responded right away. The home is a restored 1890s farmhouse, very nicely done. I give this home a 5 star rating because of the owner. The home could use another bathroom and central air but not a huge deal.

Everything was provided!

Wonderful stay. So well equipped from strollers and toys to pool table and music system. Kitchen was spacious and modern with everything we needed for several large family meals. The ‘old house’ charm and quirkiness added to the fun. The two bathrooms sufficed and the upstairs clawfoot tub with handheld was great for the littles. Another shower in addition to the one downstairs would help for the adults. Location is prime while being away from downtown noise at night. Everyone agreed we would enjoy another stay!

Wonderful stay

First and foremost, Joseph was the most responsive and welcoming host. It was a very hot week and he made sure each room was comfortable. Kitchen was very well stocked. The house was fine. Only one standing shower but our friends used the hand held in the bath and were happy. Appliances and grill were fine. Easy walk into town and lighthouse for sunset Would come back

This rental was the perfect location for us to stay in for my sons wedding at Castle Farms. Joe communicated very well with me. He even let us check in early. The only downfall we had was unfortunately our car alarm went off when we came back late at night and took us some time to get turned off. The neighbors called and complained to Joe. I felt really bad and thought that was uncalled for. They have a noise ordinance after 9 and they don’t mess around.

Absolute Perfection in Charlevoix! We had the most incredible stay at this 1867 Historic Farmhouse! The home is beautifully preserved, charming, and wonderfully decorated. The hosts have truly thought of every single detail to make their guests feel welcome. We arrived to a lovely bottle of wine, and the pantry was incredibly well-stocked with convenient extras like pasta and sauce, mac and cheese, popcorn, and oatmeal.The amenities kept everyone perfectly entertained—the game room has plenty of options, and the TVs are fully connected to every subscription service you could possibly ask for. On top of that, the location is unbeatable; we loved being an easy walk away from Main Street.We also took advantage of the pontoon boat rental through the owner, and it was a completely seamless experience. The boat was very easy to access and even came equipped with a cooler ready to go. Throughout our stay, the service was exceptional; we truly felt like we had our own private concierge. A lovely home and a perfect vacation!
