CQ nautical theme; life aquatic with Steve Zissou Vibe (Bill Murray) Quirky fun & clean space! Cozy comfortable "Hygge, Romantic relaxing or workspace. 225 sq feet sleeps 2-4 but 2 comfortably
Outside 420 smoking space.
Quiet Sleeping nook-cleaned by a cleansebot “little buddy” drives over and under the bedding to kill viruses, mites, and allergens. Bed Platform -Memory foam-approx. 18" off floor. NEW Chaise lounge pullout sofa comfortable stay for that 3rd person.

Privet Head/bathroom has a luxurious rain shower with a handheld attachment Bathroom has a 6" step up to enter. Adjacent to the bathroom is a small seated Vanity with a Blow dryer, Hair Straightener & cleaning products Face Body, and Shampoo.

CQ’s Galley/kitchenette is small but efficient, refrigerator, microwave, drip coffee maker Tea and Coffee provided. Pots and pans with Bunsen burner, Webber BBQ out front. All you need to make a nice meal or grab snacks from our honor bar. We provide TV trays for a quiet meal inside or use one of the 2 tables and/or The NEW red Adirondack chairs by our New Gas fire pit out front for a relaxing bite.

Outside Space- is a Semi-Private/ front patio with Adirondack chairs including a New Gas Fire Pit, surrounded by plants that attract hummingbirds and our crow Ralphie.
For Fun with have Putters & Balls to play on our miniature-miniature golf course. We provide hot dog sticks, 1 bag of charcoal and lighter fluid. Green outdoor smoking blankets and Beach towels for an outing to Golden Gardens (7 min Drive).

Other Things to Note
We are 420 friendly on our patio, dog friendly with the callout that the Humans are responsible for any damages done by their furry friends, dog bowls provide.

Message In a Bottle: We create a special message in a bottle for all guests to keep or leave behind. (some do ask for a special note birthday or engagement happens often here)
Walkable neighborhood with food Sexy bar essex is back!
The household is a multicultural home Norwegian and Fijian. Languages Hindi, Fijian and a little Italian and Danish.

Absolutely. Beautifully and fun directions for the holidays. Adorable nautical theme, great beds, kitchen with all supplies and coffee and tea maker. The bathroom is fabulous. Will definitely return. So close to everything in Seattle and easy parking.

Very nice little spot. Sweet neighborhood, easy/free parking situation (which was important to me!), very convenient to the rapid ride downtown (just a couple blocks away). Super clean, bed was super comfy, nice little patio area. Easy check in, and hosts let me know that the unit was available early - which was very considerate and helpful for my needs!

I’ve stayed in many short term rental properties and this was, hands down, one of the very best. The words “cute” and “cozy” best capture the essence, but the Captain’s Quarters is so much more. It’s small, but perfect for up to a couple (comfy queen bed) plus, perhaps, one sleeping on the couch. The host is amazingly kind and responsive to communications. Street parking is very close, easy, and free. The WiFi works well. If I needed to, I could’ve worked on my laptop here. We will, unquestionably, be returning as we need to be in Ballard every couple of months.

I loved this cute stay in Ballard area. Perfect for my work trip. The bed was so cozy. Lights and ocean sounds were so fun and inviting. I couldn't figure out the coffee situation but everything else was perfect. Will book again!

If I could give this place 1000 stars I could. Host was Kind, friendly, knowledgeable and communicative. The place was perfect and clean close to anything you need in Seattle. The neighborhood was great and walkable. Would come back again and only book this spot.

In life pivots occur sticking with retail for 10 more years I became a Mannequin Designer and sales rep; often on the road traveling 2 weeks out of the month staying at 5-star accommodations gave me the experience of what a seasoned traveler needs and wants! Clean, Quiet, Peaceful space with Positive Energy, Good Wifi, Night Light and an honor bar with special touches.
Next Pivot brought me to designing home interiors with the big retail wows along with still dabbling in corporate office and window design. I have a passion for how color impacts emotions diving deeper into this I have been creating Frankie's hearts where I create objects with pet and human ashes (not as dark as it sounds)
When Creating; Captains Quarters we had 2 influences: Winston "The Captain" 17-year-old Maltese now playing on the rainbow bridge with Captain Steve Zissou. My motto is you can mix Kindness, Style with a touch of humor - my key ingredient is, whimsy BUT not cluttered. SHIP SHAPE.
I have a unique take on Seattle/Ballard due to my Family history here. I love to share my Seattle. Yes, my grandfather was a salty bootlegger here in Ballard.
I will provided a list of fun unique spots to eat, shop, local hikes or secret bars or beach spots.
We also offer a special Pike Place Market Scavenger hunt to Find my abbreviated name that's been walked over for 35 years.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Personal Touches- were more of an "experience" then just a stay! 420 friendly, spick and span clean, close to everything! pet friendly personalized bottle by me or you add the message. Unique tourist ideas most locals even miss.
After each stay, I review if any updates or improvements are needed, in the age of COVID I took my normal cleaning routine to a new level adding a cleansebot. I always listen to the voice of my guests from adding a full-length mirror to a cutting board that spans the sink “I listen” when guest make suggestions.

Quaint walkable neighborhood with 2 blocks of award-winning restaurants, shop, close to cannabis and parks. 5 min ride to downtown Ballard, green lake, Freemont, 15 min to downtown Seattle or the University District. Right off the D line bus getting you to climate pledge arena in 10-15 min. Family History I share with the willing. We also read our guest if you want to chat we do If you want no contact or conversation we honor your privacy with passing on the putting green.
